2:22 boys we've found Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's father
Should've done shaq too. His debut stats would've been interesting since he was the most dominant big man ever
Shaq’s first ever NBA game: 12 points on 50% shooting, 18 total rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks.
Jordan's Bulls team had the highest lead margin in all debut games that end up in wins here. The only down side here is his debut game don't do justice of was about to come for his career which is the most decorated as well GOAT in NBA or basketball history.
You should do video on How good Dave Cowens was
Wilt has arguabely the greatest first game ever, although that title will probably go to mcw, but wilt is so insane, GOAT REG SEASON PLAYER
Jordan is my GOAT and probably will always be but this one definitely goes to Wilt.
Isiah was better. The NBA was a joke pre 1980 by the way. Try watching any of those goofy games from the 60s or 70s
@@ShawnValentino Are you really suggesting Isiah Thomas was better than Jordan? :D
@@Zamppa86 of course not. Jordan is best player ever. But Isiah better debut
There is footage of wilts debut…. He had 17 blocks
Exactly
Wilt's the Greatest of All Time.
Yes, I said it.
How many of World B Free's 46 were dropped on Magic though? If the majority of them were ok but just from knowing anything about basketball even without having seen the game, I doubt all 46 were scored on Magic.
most amazing yet unsurprising is wilt but what shocked me the most is russels' since he might be the greatest winner especially playing center but wilt is no doubt the best center ever if not the best player especially by individual stats compared to their peers. kobe is next to be shocking but its reasonable for his age the day he was drafted unlike the older greats where they came in older
Do a part 2 plz
Well now you gotta do every GOAT's last game.
Kinda funny that as a lakers fan you put bird on the cover but not magic
Kobe has to be the greatest 6th man redemption story of all time
How can you include 3 blocks by kareem when he debuted in 1969 and blocks weren't even recorded till 1973 season?
Top 3 - Wilt (monster), Kareem, LeBron
I didn't agree with your original Goat series either, but Shaq, Hakeem, and Oscar deserve to be on this list.
Shaq's first game 12pts 18rbs 3 blocks 50% ft
Hakeem 24 pts 9 rbs 1 blk 61% ft
Oscar triple dbl 21 pts 12rbs 10 last
MJ is the GOAT. Wilt had the best debut. LBJ has literally been having games like that, consistently, for almost 20 years straight (incredible). What would Kobe’s career numbers look like if he was given a team from day one?
I saw Wilt play and Wilt was more dominant than MJ. With that said, it hard to compare Wilt and MJ because they played different positions and in different eras.
Shoutout to MCW who’s prime was his debut game
Great vid jon! But man u should have kept showing the stats of the players who guarded these players!!!!
One of my colleagues said Wilt would simply be an average player in today's game. :) We'll miss him.
P.S.
Lebron playing very well and losing anyway is pretty on brand for him, sadly.
I wouldn't recognize Russell without the beard
RESPECT
Wilt easily had the greatest first game in history. Especially considering he likely had a few steals and like 5 to 10 blocks on top of that
Any of these commenters could score 40 in that atrocious era of the NBA.
@@ShawnValentino You clearly are uneducated on the topic. Wilt and Russel played with and against so many HOFers it is ridiculous. The plumbers n teachers argument is some tired garbage that people with recency bias like to spew without doing any research. you should really watch some stuff from the late 50s though the early 70s.
@@tylerhall9412 Try watching 30 seconds of any of their games. They are a couple goofs.
Isiah Thomas greatest debut ever. Name one better. Exactly! You can't!
You could score 40 during their time.
So we have big Jeff Ruland to thank for Jordan not killing himself against Washington. You can see on the slow-mo that Jordan's fall is slowed down by Ruland's leg.
Kobe the one to me most inspirational
1. Wilt
2. Kareem
3. LeBron
4. Magic
How about the best seasons for every goat candidates.
I thought it said first name I was so confused
No surprise that the GOAT debut comes from the true GOAT Wilt. The biggest surprise would be Bird. As a 4 year player and college POY I would have expected a better debut from Larry Legend.
He played just a part or the game and he wasn't the clear number one in the team yet , but he was solid
Has to be LeBron. 18yo out of high school playing against a western conference finals team in a strong era... Wilt in 1959 just wasn't fair!
Lebron game one: here's basically what's gonna be my stat line the next 20 years
What is the best first game of a NBA players of all time.
Wilt lol
Wilt 43 pts 28 reb 17 blk easily
