What a superb house and garden. Yes, it needs refreshing but at that price it's an absolute bargain. There is some remedial work to do to reconfigure it which would add value and turn it into a stunning family home. You get alot of house and garden for your money. Certainly worth a look.

Very nice indeed, i think you make some very valid observations in the renovation ideas. Would you have contacts whom couod donthe proposed renovations and the sorting out of the pool? Also what state are the internals of the outbuildings? As i can see one being an office and thenother being useful for storing bits for garden maintenance.
What a fascinating property! So many possibilities. I like your detailed approach and ideas for remodelling the layout. Beautiful garden. How would the pool be managed, such as how is the water changed and chlorinated?
Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked the video. A pool is pretty easy to manage. Starting in about May it will need chlorine products once a week and then a regular vacuuming to remove dirt. You don't have to change the water often. Maybe once every 5 years or so. There are local people who can look after the pool for you.
Je mettrais les escaliers à la place de la salle de bain aveugle de l'étage et créerais la nouvelle salle de bain dans la petite chambre à côté pour bénéficier de plus d'espace et d'une fenêtre.
At first I didn’t like the house. As you described all of the possibilities I fell in love with it. The pool is an amazing feature. Do most of the homes there have tile floors? I’d love to put in hardwood. What are the taxes? Are there any Americans buying property in the town? What are the taxes?
Thanks for your comments. Yes, most of these older properties have tiled floors. Some people have modernised and have put down wooden floors. Both options work well in these older houses. I'm trying to get an up to date record of the annual Taxes Foncieres. The last available bill I've seen shows an amount of €761 but I think it would have gone up. I think if you work on sub €1,000 you should be OK. Yes there are Americans buying in this area. I just sold another house in this same village to an American couple. They love it. @@languedocpropertyfinders2195 thank you for getting back to me. My husband and I are thinking of leaving the chaos and hatred in America for a more calm and kinder country. Do you help expats with the moving process? This is all so new to us and a bit scary. How would we get in touch with you?
Hi there. Yes are able to help with the process. Please email me at simon@languedocpropertyfinders.com making reference to your TH-cam name and the property ref: ROUBRU. Thanks
I think I would put the Kitchen/living on the ground floor and all the bedrooms upstairs! Dinning under a covered arbor? Conservatory? Sunroom? Outside! The garage door in the back yard would be windows? Change the outside stairs to an old fashioned window enclosed, metal spiral staircase, so you don't have to build another staircase?
I think there are a bunch of ides that could work well for this house. Thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe & click on the bell icon so you don't miss out on our next video 😉

Maybe, but you'd end up with a fab property in a really nice village. Don't forget how unusual it is to find a two storey period house in the heart of a nice village with a garden like this 😉

Thanks for the comments. I agree that it needs a bit of a refresh but it would make a really good house.
Wow, great surprise in the back ! Did not see that coming. Makes the property worth while.

C'est une très bonne idée. Peut-être meilleure que la mienne 😉
@languedocpropertyfinders2195 merci 😄
De rien

I would create another bathroom for room 1 from the storage area and have 2 in suite bedrooms. I hope its big enough for stairs and bathroom
I think there are a number of ways to improve on this house. I'm not 100% sure which option I would take.
the stairwell leading up to the terrace is extremely dangerous. There needs to be a railing around that, That would be a code violation in the US.
I agree that this would be a very easy fix
Quite pricey for what it us
It does need a bit of sorting out but it's difficult to find a village house with e REAL garden in this area for this price.
Alot of work for 275,000. But i like it.
😁
Relatively expensive for what has to be done.

The living room is not big enough for a house with 3 bedrooms.
