    Always a good idea to cycle the shock a few times before installing. I love these shocks ! No complaints.

    Right after the install, is this truck ready to drive? Or is there other steps that need to be done?

      Its good to go. However, I would do the front also, not just the rear.

    How do you prevent the shock from rotating?

    For your guys next build project you guys should do one on a Tundra. You guys already did the other big 3 manufactures all you have left is the 2 Japanese trucks and the smaller trucks.

    Aren't you supposed to charge the shock first?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most shocks already come pre-charged from the factory. If you have any further questions on this please give our suspension department a call at 888-257-3323.

    Bilstein doesn't produce 1 specifically valved for the k2 platforms. How is the valving from the GMT models for them and which specific years would fit the k2? And will Bilstein ever produce specifically valved 5160s for the k2 platform? And how much more travel do the provide if any?

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +henry bui do to being a reseller of these and not the manufacture I can unfortunately not answer those technical of questions for you. You can contact Bilstein at 1-800-537-1085

    What r those for

    • @Realtruck
      @Realtruck  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sergio Silva Bilstein 5160 series reservoir shocks give you the control, handling and comfort you need when heading off the pavement. Bilstein's industry leading monotube design makes these off-road racing shocks the best you can buy.
      The 5160's unique digressive valving system instantly produces full damping capability and the remote reservoir dramatically increase shock oil capacity for even greater heat dissipation and damping sensitivity. Special fittings allow for 360 degrees of reservoir hose rotation and the "floating" dividing piston in the reservoir provides for increased wheel travel and more shaft movement.

    Why run reservoir shocks if you aren't running a baja truck? Makes zero sense. There is no added benefit.

      Its all about temperature which adds to extended life and better performance. Even if you just drive rough roads a few times a year then they will make a huge difference.

      David Orozco no these are only for the 4WD models. I looked through what is available in this style and we don't currently have anything. But keep checking back as we are adding new products almost daily. If you prefer to speak to a person directly feel free to contact our knowledgeable Customer Service folks at 877-216-5446
