Girl groups I recommend considering you are a choreographer, 1) EVERGLOW - "La Di Da" and "First" 2) PIXY - "Wings" and "Bewitched (english version)" Pixy is my personal favorite that is uniique in my opinion because they are not afraid to touch upon some of the "ugly" emotions that is associated with a "dark" concept that is heavily based on an ongoing story. Both the story and their emotions are expressed very well in their choreography. FYI - almost all kpop music videos being released these days also have what the call a "dance preactice" for that particular song which is basically the dance routine / choreography for when the do performances live or for different shows. I seriously don't reccomend putting together a dance battle between bts and bp. Both groups are known for having certain toxic people amongst their fandom and they fight all the time. Hi Lindsey! About your question about a BTS and BP member dating, I would agree with you that it'd be a dope couple, but Korea has this weird thing about their idols never dating. Like, either the company tells them not to or they themselves avoid publicizing it because they want to maintain an image of the idol being for everyone. It's very, very rare for idols to come out dating, more so if they're dating fellow idols. Ofc I'm pretty sure they date secretly, but these kinds of rumors can usually make or break a career unless they're popular enough to withstand the backlash from fans turned antis. If you wanna see 2 idols in a relationship, that'd be HyunA and Dawn. I think they're engaged now but they're cool people who went through all sorts of hurt trying to keep their relationship. Both HyunA and Dawn are amazing dancers and performers too so we get the juicy stories and the amazing choreos. Win-win 😊😊

Boy group Seventeen is largely self-choreographed, and since they are 13 members, they have some of the most intricate formations and transitions in the industry. I'd recommend watching their dance practice for Don't Wanna Cry, and if you vibe with them, their songs Home, Getting Closer, Very Nice, and Thanks all have super cool dances!
On the girl side, while Blackpink are very good, and while Lisa is probably one of if not the best female dancer in Kpop, their choreography is not the best. The best female group in Kpop with respect to dancing is probably Itzy. They are so in sync that every other group looks like a mess in comparison - not because they are bad, far from it, but because Itzy is just that good. MVs are great but their dance practices are legendary. And three (!) out of five members have been invited to Studio Choom’s Artist of the Month, which showcases the best dancers from the industry. There are other groups that are also very good at choreography: Loona, CLC, IZ*ONE and Dreamcatcher come to mind. And that’s not counting soloists.
I highly recommend checking out Everglow specifically their songs “LaDiDa” and “First” their songs and choreography go really hard and I know you’ll love them!

(She also has the "Money Exclusive Performance Video" (currently around 535 million views) which is more like a music video and is fun to watch too. "Lili" is one of Lisa's nicknames) is also a fun dance/choreography video, in which she dances with her friend and choreographer, Cheshir Ha, along with three other highly respected choreographers. There are also a lot of "focus cam" dance videos where you can see live performances of the group, but with the camera just focusing on a specific member.
I really like BP choreographies the attitude they have in the diferente mvs. I really want to see your reaction to the dances practice. And regarding the comparison between BP and BTS just a heads up booth groups have a toxic part of the fandom that are very very toxic that always ends with fanwars. Even though booth groups are big and representative the fandoms loathe each other.
Blackpink and BTS are the best of the best in Kpop and a great place to start your introduction into Kpop. But if your focus is dance only just concentrate on BTS and cherry pick from other groups. I love both groups but they offer different satisfactions. Kpop has a much different culture then what you are use to. If you really are interested in understanding it start by watching the Netflix documentary on Blackpink called LIGHT UP THE SKY. Then watch A BEGINERS GUIDE TO BTS. I’m a big fan of Blackpink! Along with BTS and other groups, I highly recommend you check out Enhypen, they are incredible dancers (especially Ni-ki), Go big or go home, fever and drunk-dazed are all quite insane choreography and it’s a sight to see.

Rose was the one with the clover leaf and in the car. Jisoo had the bow and arrow and was in water. I love their black side more but they have bops always. Jisoo is the visual and oldest of the group. She is also Miss Korea I think. Lisa is the 2nd rapper. Jennie my bias is the main rapper. She can sing and rap she fire. Hi Lindsey, This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I appreciate you reacting to Blackpink and I really liked your reaction. I look forward to you checking out some more of their music (particularly the dance practice video for "Don't Know What To Do" which is arguably one of their best choreographies). It would be cool to also see your perspective on other groups. One suggestion I have is "Secret Story of the Swan" by IZ*ONE. They were a temporary group formed through a reality competition show, meaning their contracts have expired and they disbanded, but they have some pretty amazing bangers and choreography that is just mindblowing with the numerous members that were in the group. They have two videos of "Secret Story of the Swan" on the Studio Choom TH-cam channel. One has (full focused) in the title which is where the camera is set back and doesn't move as much so you can see the full view of the group and the other has [BE ORIGINAL] which is where the camera does follow so you can see close-ups, facial expressions, etc. Whichever one you react to is fine 😊 Thank you, Melon Lord 🎃
About idols dating: Entertainment industry is very different in Korea. Companies' want to advertise idols as "perfect boyfriend/girlfriend". That way they can make more money on them. In order to do so, compenies create different platforms to allow fans to connect more with idols. And with all that, idols couldn't be seen as a possible "perfect gf/bf" if they were already in a relationship. That's why in kpop industry dating is rarely approved and idols often aren't even allowed to date. Sometimes idols are in relationships that they keep as a secret but their carreer could be in danger if the publicity found out. And especially with huge groups like Blackpink and BTS, relationships would create huge scandals and create fanwars (which are already a trouble). That's why BTS members would probably never be in a relationship with Blackpink members.
I hope that when you are reacting to music videos that you actually have a good hi-fi sound system, as that would be the best way to fully feel the music in all its potential glory, whether it's music from BTS, Blackpink or anyone else. We can't tell what your sound system is or how it sounds. Yes, that bearclaw visual is cool, because the bearclaw symbolizes a dangerous stealthy trap, because at the camera angle it is shown at, it also looks like a heart, which means falling in love initially but that the relationship becomes eventually toxic.

Everyone who falls into Kpop learns more gradually and it can be difficult to keep up when there’s newer groups each day, but it’s an exciting journey. I have many favorite groups, such as BTS and Blackpink. I would love to see you look into my fav boygroup Monsta X. They have English tracks which I think you would enjoy like such as Who do you love?, or play it cool with Steve Aoki (mvs). They have a sexy, mature,energetic, confident vibe that pulls you in! Dance practices I can recommend is Jealousy, and Dramarama :) Beastmode ( a b-side track) dance practice is more recent and shows their unique side which Monsta x conquer
Yes! Love some Blackpink reactions. If you’re interested in another BP song may I suggest Pretty Savage live on The Late Late Show with James Corden. It’s one thing to see them in an edited video where they can do retakes, quite another to see them live. They ooze boss bitch vibes and stage presence. A couple of other really great girl Kpop groups with strong dancing: Red Velvet, you can’t go wrong with Psycho or their subgroup of Irene and Seulgi in Monster and/or Naughty. Naughty is full of really precise tutting and is quite impressive and fun to watch. Definitely must watch. Itzy, definitely must watches are Mafia in the Morning and Wannabe.

BLACKPINK is not conventional kpop, they are the evolution and revolution of kpop, their music is so international and avant-garde that it goes beyond all the traditional schemes established by kpop, BLACKPINK takes kpop to another level and mixes hip hop in their songs , edm, country, indian, pop, r&b etc and also their concerts look like ROCK concerts because they sing with their official live band, even the group is called BLACKPINK because it mixes two concepts. *-BLACK:* rough, urban and sensual. *- PINK:* cute & girly. (Although 90% of their music is from the BLACK concept since they have a great urban influence).
BP style is really just the latest style from their producer Teddy Park, who was the producer for the previous YG girl group 2NE1. If you like BP, you'll like 2NE1.

I followed a similar path to yours into kpop and that's start at the best. I started with BTS and then Blackpink. I have added Stray Kidz recently and their dancing is amazing too.

I seriously don't reccomend putting together a dance battle between bts and bp. Both groups are known for having certain toxic people amongst their fandom and they fight all the time. Hi Lindsey! About your question about a BTS and BP member dating, I would agree with you that it'd be a dope couple, but Korea has this weird thing about their idols never dating.
Like, either the company tells them not to or they themselves avoid publicizing it because they want to maintain an image of the idol being for everyone. It's very, very rare for idols to come out dating, more so if they're dating fellow idols.
Ofc I'm pretty sure they date secretly, but these kinds of rumors can usually make or break a career unless they're popular enough to withstand the backlash from fans turned antis.
If you wanna see 2 idols in a relationship, that'd be HyunA and Dawn. I think they're engaged now but they're cool people who went through all sorts of hurt trying to keep their relationship. Both HyunA and Dawn are amazing dancers and performers too so we get the juicy stories and the amazing choreos. Win-win 😊😊

Boy group Seventeen is largely self-choreographed, and since they are 13 members, they have some of the most intricate formations and transitions in the industry. I'd recommend watching their dance practice for Don't Wanna Cry, and if you vibe with them, their songs Home, Getting Closer, Very Nice, and Thanks all have super cool dances!

On the girl side, while Blackpink are very good, and while Lisa is probably one of if not the best female dancer in Kpop, their choreography is not the best. The best female group in Kpop with respect to dancing is probably Itzy. They are so in sync that every other group looks like a mess in comparison - not because they are bad, far from it, but because Itzy is just that good. MVs are great but their dance practices are legendary. And three (!) out of five members have been invited to Studio Choom’s Artist of the Month, which showcases the best dancers from the industry. There are other groups that are also very good at choreography: Loona, CLC, IZ*ONE and Dreamcatcher come to mind. And that’s not counting soloists.
I highly recommend checking out Everglow specifically their songs “LaDiDa” and “First” their songs and choreography go really hard and I know you’ll love them!

For a smashing large-group choreography, Lisa's "Money Dance Practice" (currently with around 75 million views) ( th-cam.com/video/fr-eHz87XoM/w-d-xo.html ) is a "must watch" (or at least "must think about watching") type of performance. (She also has the "Money Exclusive Performance Video" (currently around 535 million views) which is more like a music video and is fun to watch too. But the Money Dance Practice one focuses more clearly on just the choreography.
Lisa's "Lili's Film [The Movie]" dance video ( th-cam.com/video/vtRJZEHdu8M/w-d-xo.html ) on her own channel (Lilifilm Official ... "Lili" is one of Lisa's nicknames) is also a fun dance/choreography video, in which she dances with her friend and choreographer, Cheshir Ha, along with three other highly respected choreographers.
She has so many good performances but those two above are what I would pick for starters. There are also a lot of "focus cam" dance videos where you can see live performances of the group, but with the camera just focusing on a specific member.

Blackpink and BTS are the best of the best in Kpop and a great place to start your introduction into Kpop. But if your focus is dance only just concentrate on BTS and cherry pick from other groups. I love both groups but they offer different satisfactions. Kpop has a much different culture then what you are use to. If you really are interested in understanding it start by watching the Netflix documentary on Blackpink called LIGHT UP THE SKY. Then watch A BEGINERS GUIDE TO BTS. Once you start to understand the Asian culture then you can begin to understand how and why these groups are so successful. Good luck, I hope you have a journey into Kpop that you will enjoy.

Great reaction. Check out "Unhelpful Guide to Blackpink, 2019 version" to get to know the girls. There are many other very talented groups in Kpop, but none IMO match BTS or Blackpink. Think Beyonce, many other talented singers, but few come close to her talent and performances.

I’m a big fan of Blackpink! Along with BTS and other groups, I highly recommend you check out Enhypen, they are incredible dancers (especially Ni-ki), Go big or go home, fever and drunk-dazed are all quite insane choreography and it’s a sight to see.
I think it is also important to say that Ni-ki is soooo young and still sooooo good.

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. I am a BTS Army but love my Queens too. this is my fav song. Adore the Tomb Raider inspiration. Jennie sang 1st. Lisa was 2nd. Rose was the one with the clover leaf and in the car. Jisoo had the bow and arrow and was in water. I love their black side more but they have bops always. Jisoo is the visual and oldest of the group. She is also Miss Korea I think. Lisa is the 2nd rapper. Jennie my bias is the main rapper. She can sing and rap she fire. This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I appreciate you reacting to Blackpink and I really liked your reaction. I look forward to you checking out some more of their music (particularly the dance practice video for "Don't Know What To Do" which is arguably one of their best choreographies).
It would be cool to also see your perspective on other groups. One suggestion I have is "Secret Story of the Swan" by IZ*ONE. They were a temporary group formed through a reality competition show, meaning their contracts have expired and they disbanded, but they have some pretty amazing bangers and choreography that is just mindblowing with the numerous members that were in the group. They have two videos of "Secret Story of the Swan" on the Studio Choom TH-cam channel. One has (full focused) in the title which is where the camera is set back and doesn't move as much so you can see the full view of the group and the other has [BE ORIGINAL] which is where the camera does follow so you can see close-ups, facial expressions, etc. Whichever one you react to is fine 😊

About idols dating: Entertainment industry is very different in Korea. Companies' want to advertise idols as "perfect boyfriend/girlfriend". That way they can make more money on them. In order to do so, compenies create different platforms to allow fans to connect more with idols. And with all that, idols couldn't be seen as a possible "perfect gf/bf" if they were already in a relationship. That's why in kpop industry dating is rarely approved and idols often aren't even allowed to date. Sometimes idols are in relationships that they keep as a secret but their carreer could be in danger if the publicity found out.
And especially with huge groups like Blackpink and BTS, relationships would create huge scandals and create fanwars (which are already a trouble). That's why BTS members would probably never be in a relationship with Blackpink members.
Check out Pixy, a fairly new girl group who absolutely need more recognition for how good they are at everything. Killer choreographies.

Everyone who falls into Kpop learns more gradually and it can be difficult to keep up when there’s newer groups each day, but it’s an exciting journey. I have many favorite groups, such as BTS and Blackpink. I would love to see you look into my fav boygroup Monsta X. They have English tracks which I think you would enjoy like such as Who do you love?, or play it cool with Steve Aoki (mvs). They have a sexy, mature,energetic, confident vibe that pulls you in! Dance practices I can recommend is Jealousy, and Dramarama :) Beastmode ( a b-side track) dance practice is more recent and shows their unique side which Monsta x conquer

BLACKPINK is not conventional kpop, they are the evolution and revolution of kpop, their music is so international and avant-garde that it goes beyond all the traditional schemes established by kpop, BLACKPINK takes kpop to another level and mixes hip hop in their songs , edm, country, indian, pop, r&b etc and also their concerts look like ROCK concerts because they sing with their official live band, even the group is called BLACKPINK because it mixes two concepts.
*-BLACK:* rough, urban and sensual.
*- PINK:* cute & girly.
(Although 90% of their music is from the BLACK concept since they have a great urban influence).
BP style is really just the latest style from their producer Teddy Park, who was the producer for the previous YG girl group 2NE1. If you like BP, you'll like 2NE1.

I followed a similar path to yours into kpop and that's start at the best. I started with BTS and then Blackpink. I have added Stray Kidz recently and their dancing is amazing too.
You should react to Blackpink Dance Practice and by the way the one with bangs is Lisa and she is one of the best kpop dancer in industry she can literally pull ofd any type of dance, she have youtube where she post her dance its called Lilifilm.
