I've worked in both.
The resistance furnaces used in aluminum melting make the workplace hotter than ferrous melting

Why? What will these be used for?
The Alu rods are essentially "blanks" for the company that's ordered them, they'll then machine them down into what they need it for. Not sure about the rings though.
