Are These the BEST Buffalo Wings of All Time?

- On this episode of 20 Dollar Chef, we hit the road to Buffalo to eat America's best wings and drink some ice cold Labatt Blue.
Bar-Bill has been around since the '70s. They keep it simple and consistent. If the food isn't good enough this local hot spot is also known for its "Mug Club." Mug Club is when a customer buys a personalized mug for $50 bucks and you get $1 drafts for life. You then drink from your mug every time you come and pony up to their bar. For those who make this their bar of choice, that's a steal.
I really enjoyed the attention to detail this bar has when it comes to the wings. Never frozen, never over sauced, and brought out immediately by the cooks. If you've ever worked in a restaurant you'd know this isn't something most places do. This eliminates your food from sitting in a window getting shitty. I tasted all of their sauces and these guys should keep these recipes under lock and key. They are as close to perfect as a group of wing sauces can be.
The Labatt Blue was flowing and ice cold. As I sat there eating some of the greatest wings in the U.S washing it down with such a delicious beer, I just felt like everything was right in the world. If I lived anywhere near that place I'd be a proud member of the mug club trying my best to crush $1 beers. Most likely you'd see me there as much as the staff.
The Beef on Wecks is not to be slept on. They have the fresh horsey ready to rock and I fell in love. All I need are 2 solid menu items and some cold-ass Labatt blue and I'm the happiest man alive.
Thanks to the Labatt Blue team and Jon with Bar-Bill! I can't wait to get back and tear this place up again.

I live in Texas, but this place looks like heaven on Earth. If I lived in Buffalo, I’d be one of the regulars with my Labatt Blue mug, Bills jersey with the hoodie underneath, bellied up to the bar, eating the best wings in the USA, drinking the best beer in the world, from across the river in Canada. If I lived there, Id literally look for an apartment within walking distance. My number one bucket list restaurant, and it’s not even close, is Bar Bill.
The place lives up to the hype too. The vibe in there was fantastic, the crowd was so fun and friendly, and the wings n beef on weck were both something i could eat daily!
The fact that this dude doesn’t have a 24 hour show that follows his life is sad. Guy is hilarious. His shows are so relaxed, informative, and humor is sprinkled in. Keep up good work!

I grew up in WNY but had never eaten at Bar-Bill. While I was home visiting this past week, I went to the one in Clarence and wow! I got the "hot" wings, after being warned that they are hotter than most in the area. No problem! I love hot food! Probably too hot for the average person. The sauce is amazing! Sticks to the wings nicely instead of completely soaking in or running off. So far, these are the best wings I've had! Period! The beef of weck was incredible, too! I will be back!!

@@moodmusic4life I haven't lived in WNY since 1980. Never heard of Bar-Bill until a few years ago and my visits are usually short. Don't have time to drive an hour+ to E. Aurora. Food "should" be that same anyway, right?

Next time you're in Buffalo, try Elmo's(get the double dip cajun medium), Nine Eleven Tavern and Mulberry Italian Ristorante(weird to get wings here, but trust me).
These three, plus Bar Bill, are Buffalo's Mount Rushmore of wings IMO.
I went to Bar Bill North and had the Beef On Weck and it was Outright FABULOUS!! Melt In Your Mouth Tender Roast Beef!!

Apples and Oranges. Both Bar Bill and Nine Eleven are excellent. I'd throw Elmo's in that pack too.
Labbatt is still in business? Did they sponsor this? I haven't seen anything from them since the 90s, when they made "Ice", "Dry", and even "Dry Ice" beer. Not a single ad, anywhere. You also must know that these guys were not the "original" wing place in Buffalo...that was the Anchor bar.
Yeah and Anchor is trash tourist food.

I was born and raised in Buffalo New York labatt beer chicken wings and blue cheese run through my veins in my opinion anchor bar has the best wings however and you can forget about the beef on wek and of course the Buffalo bills

Why would anyone dip a spicy wing into blue cheese, or anything dairy related? That literally drops the heat of it. What's the point of eating it?
No blue cheese, ever. Wings as spicy as they can make it, and LOTS of sauce on them...the only way to eat them.
