I prefer Hooters over Tilted Kilt. But my ex husband and I used to alway go to Hooters for wings and fried pickles even with our baby girl. Good customer service and the ladies usually knew not to try flirting when I'm sitting right there. We were there for the flavor because it was MY favorite place.

the reason wingstop ranch is better is because there’s a lot of mayo in it, so there’s more fat. If you were wanting to make the ranch at home it’s just hidden valley seasoning, 2 quarts of buttermilk and a quart of mayo

as a former Papa John's employee, I can say with authority that the wings are made terribly. they're preproportioned by prep cooks in store so they thaw out then get refrozen, contributing to that weird texture. they're run through the oven once on a sheet of aluminum foil, no turning or anything. straight from the oven into a cardboard box. there is no tossing of sauce, it gets poured on top and then it's considered done. so yes, it IS a true disgrace.
When I worked there we would make them better just for us. Run them through once, sauce them, shake it up, and then run them through the oven a second time. It cooked the sauce into the wings and made them edible. Though. The flavor of the chicken can only be saved so much, it's just not quality chicken.
I want to see Keith do Buffalo Wings in Buffalo, NY next time he's on a tour. Duff's & Anchor Bar top the list and there are other popular wing places. He could get fans to suggest good places for wings too. It would be a lot of pizza places I bet... most pizza places have decent wings.
In Texas there’s a wing place called Pluckers and I wish you guys could have tried those cause those are literally the best wings and they have a famous spicy lemon pepper that is delicious!! Along with other unique flavors.

Before even watching this i knew Domino's and Papa Johns would be low on the list because their wings are baked and not fried. But even worse their not prepped for baking, so they come out like soggy chicken. If yer gonna bake yer wings, toss em in some baking powder and let em rest for a bit, then bake. Doing this helps draw out the moisture and gives you a "crispy" texture.

(all yer doing is making a home made "shake n bake" Drop em all in a zip top bag and shake em up. What I do is pop them on a baking sheet and let them set up in the fridge for a bit. (an hr) then bake at 400 for 40-50 min (oven temps can be fickle) flipping once. Also you can use this tech not just for wings, but for quarters/legs/ect.

Some stores use parchment paper instead of aluminum foil during the baking process but that's super lazy and ugly to stuff that in the box. The size of the wings depends on the commissary and the store has no control but they are sooo tiny now. The wings really need to be put through the oven longer to be fully cooked.

Chanello's has pretty good wings. Domino's is trying to rip you off, Pizza Hut is acceptable, and Papa Johns are huge but gross.
@@toril9787 domino's passes me off, atleast the one in my twon. They started wrapping them in baking paper, they were smaller than your thumb WITH BONE, soggy (like how they are gummy but breaded no matter what) and a total ripoff. And yes, I got food poisoning TWICE. All of this alerted me (and the town) that the old owner retired and sold it to someone who either didn't know what they were doing or didn't gaf
@@pixiestxNyomouf I stopped working at Domino's a couple years ago and none of those are new problems. Some stores use parchment paper instead of aluminum foil during the baking process but that's super lazy and ugly to stuff that in the box. The size of the wings depends on the commissary and the store has no control but they are sooo tiny now. The wings really need to be put through the oven longer to be fully cooked.

Wingstop is my favorite wing chain by far. Their ranch is unmatched. Their flavors are wonderful and unique. They have great fries (get them well done) and sides.

My grandmother bakes her wings in the convection oven, getting them nice and crispy whilst assuring they're cooked all the way through. Then she takes her butter-hotsauce mixture and tosses the wings until they're all coated.

Just a heads up for all...Always ask for your wings to be put through the oven twice if ordering from a pizza place. Except pizza hut bc they do actually fry there wings.
