As a former hooters girls this is very validating lol. The amount of times I had to convince my family that people actually came there for the food not just the girls.
I once went to a tilted kilt, best food I have ever had, is hooters food pretty good?
I prefer Hooters over Tilted Kilt. But my ex husband and I used to alway go to Hooters for wings and fried pickles even with our baby girl. Good customer service and the ladies usually knew not to try flirting when I'm sitting right there. We were there for the flavor because it was MY favorite place.

@@scarlett8782 i have a friend who works there and she gets good tips but sometimes there’s male regulars that will just come in for hours just bc they’re lonely and to talk. they tip well, but still not as much as you would get for turning the table over several times and it can be like every shift

the reason wingstop ranch is better is because there’s a lot of mayo in it, so there’s more fat. If you were wanting to make the ranch at home it’s just hidden valley seasoning, 2 quarts of buttermilk and a quart of mayo

@@Reality76981 Eeeeeh, based on what he's said in podcasts about hair growth and the pics he's posted on IG, I think it's more likely he filmed this before the wedding in Greece and across a few different days, possibly several apart. You can even see a difference in Chris's beard.

In Texas there’s a wing place called Pluckers and I wish you guys could have tried those cause those are literally the best wings and they have a famous spicy lemon pepper that is delicious!! Along with other unique flavors.

@@JewishGay yeah. My favorite wing chain easily. The dry wings are super crispy, and usually the sauce is plentiful, and the hot sauce is great.
I'm not sure what wingstreet they went to but I used to work at Pizza Hut and the wings were terrible. This was like a universally held opinion at both stores I worked at. Same with Papa John's, but theirs were passable

I love that they snuck Sam and Jonathan into this. They know what we want. It was worth sticking around to the end.
I've worked at Domino's and have seen the process of making wings in multiple pizza fastfood places. They come in precooked, frozen and packaged in plastic. They go through the oven once, not even well cooked just put through the oven so it's warm. Before that it's been refrigerated for at least a week and it's not even properly cooked. So I can honestly understand that they're not the best taste.
honestly, put this video in a time capsule for when the restaurant's are long gone and chickens are extinct
as a former Papa John's employee, I can say with authority that the wings are made terribly. they're preproportioned by prep cooks in store so they thaw out then get refrozen, contributing to that weird texture. they're run through the oven once on a sheet of aluminum foil, no turning or anything. straight from the oven into a cardboard box. there is no tossing of sauce, it gets poured on top and then it's considered done. so yes, it IS a true disgrace.
When I worked there we would make them better just for us. Run them through once, sauce them, shake it up, and then run them through the oven a second time. It cooked the sauce into the wings and made them edible. Though. The flavor of the chicken can only be saved so much, it's just not quality chicken.
I thought it was funny that they thought they would be tossed at a pizza place. We never tossed it at dominos. Literally just poured it on top

So, I work for a company that makes the roasted wings PJ uses, and the char on the wings comes from us. They're actually really good when we get to try them at the factory. Frankly, we make chicken for a lot of the chain companies, including some of the other chains you tried in this video....

Gummy wings are the result of over brining, not frying, bad or No dredging, and hot storage. Combine those things and you basically get chicken gum.

I have had those before from "The Papa" YEARS ago and it turns out, they haven't changed one bit. Still gummy and horrible. I was never impressed by Papa Johns in general to begin with.
I can not handle gummy chicken 🤢. By far the nastiest texture to me, next to rubbery shrimp and beef fat.

My experience with Hooters was the sauce was all oil and no flavor. Maybe they weren't prepared correctly. My go to delivery wings are Pizza Hut.
I love spice so much but I always end up getting the mild wings from Pizza Hut because that sauce is so good!!!! I can’t even describe it. I want to be smothered in it

I kinda wish they had made a "Thighstop" order. Wingstop is experimenting with thighs due to the mentioned wing shortage. The thighs are better than the wings in my opinion.
This is what I've been saying. Bdubs has thr best sauce, wingstop has a good meaty chicken but lackluster sauce but the ranch and fries are amazing but hooters has a good classic bar wing feel and a decent sauce. Overall bdubs has such good sauce and so many options I will keep going to bdubs

Before even watching this i knew Domino's and Papa Johns would be low on the list because their wings are baked and not fried.
But even worse their not prepped for baking, so they come out like soggy chicken.
If yer gonna bake yer wings, toss em in some baking powder and let em rest for a bit, then bake.
Doing this helps draw out the moisture and gives you a "crispy" texture.

@@KatieTirrell - Yea, if you want a REALLY basic blend do some seasoning salt, black pepper, and baking powder. (all yer doing is making a home made "shake n bake"
Drop em all in a zip top bag and shake em up.
What I do is pop them on a baking sheet and let them set up in the fridge for a bit. (an hr) then bake at 400 for 40-50 min (oven temps can be fickle) flipping once.
Also you can use this tech not just for wings, but for quarters/legs/ect.

Just a heads up for all...Always ask for your wings to be put through the oven twice if ordering from a pizza place. Except pizza hut bc they do actually fry there wings.

This made me pull out the Frank's red hot Buffalo sauce and I'm not mad about it.
It truly doesn’t get any better than Wingstop ranch. Their veggies are sold separate but they are stop notch so I get three orders of them haha. Super sweet carrots and crisp celery.

Chanello's has pretty good wings. Domino's is trying to rip you off, Pizza Hut is acceptable, and Papa Johns are huge but gross.

They started wrapping them in baking paper, they were smaller than your thumb WITH BONE, soggy (like how they are gummy but breaded no matter what) and a total ripoff. And yes, I got food poisoning TWICE. All of this alerted me (and the town) that the old owner retired and sold it to someone who either didn't know what they were doing or didn't gaf
@@pixiestxNyomouf I stopped working at Domino's a couple years ago and none of those are new problems. Some stores use parchment paper instead of aluminum foil during the baking process but that's super lazy and ugly to stuff that in the box. The size of the wings depends on the commissary and the store has no control but they are sooo tiny now. The wings really need to be put through the oven longer to be fully cooked.

My grandmother bakes her wings in the convection oven, getting them nice and crispy whilst assuring they're cooked all the way through. Then she takes her butter-hotsauce mixture and tosses the wings until they're all coated.

singaporean here who loves wingstop! there’s one near my campus and i’d eat it as a treat every end of the week. wingstop introduced me to ranch and i’m in love with that sauce :)
Yall should've gotten the Lousiana rub at wingstop. That is a great dry rub to get and Keith the spice level isn't that bad. I also have a weak tongue and I keep reaching for them.
