Nowadays an update for the japanese client would be an update for all clients, there's no different versions like in the past. What language is displayed and what features are enabled depends on the settings of the console, but the files for every supported language are present in all builds. A friend of mine buys regularly from Japan and most games has English or even Italian (our own language) already in the cartridge. There's no reason for Nintendo to release new cars for F-Zero 99 only in Japan, it would happen just for a matter of publishing rights, but the cars in BS F-Zero 2 are Nintendo's own.

Thank goodness I get to try out these courses in F-ZERO 99, but the music from Sand Storm l and ll are replaced with Sand Ocean theme, it fits these two courses better instead of the Fire Field and Death Wind music, both Sand Storm ll and Silence ll are swapped since Silence ll is last course of the Ace League, including Big Blue ll and Sand Storm l, since Sand Storm l is the second course while Big Blue ll is the third
the blue thunder is almost identical to the blue falcon but has better accel max speed , grip but worse defense, the luna bomber is the fastest but has the worse grip, its defense is mid tier, the green amazone is the lightest machine, has mediocre grip, but the worse defense of the game and the fire scorpio is akin to the fire stingray the lowest accel but with better max speed and excellent grip

Supposedly, there are files within F-Zero 99 that indicate that they will eventually bring the BS F-Zero 2 courses to the game... Hopefully they do!

Still find it odd that the vehicles look semi realistic.
It's like they sit between the vehicles of the first F-Zero and the ones in F-Zero Maximum Velocity.
Sadly they didn't make a full game on cartridge out of this. I would have bought it.

Are the machines modified or is just the O.G ones with changed sprites? Looks faster than blue falcon
The machines in the satellaview games are all different. Can't say i know why they changed them, but it'd be cool to see them again
