If you get a real SNES console ( *not* the SNES Mini one) and a device called "FXPAK Pro", you can actually play these Satellaview games on real hardware.
I thought this was a joke when I got a copy of it the cars look dumb and the tracks are the same as F01.

The tracks are so creative, we need them back along with the machines
this is a fan game, its not a nintendo game. its a hacked version of the original f-zero.
@@UrokLizardNo. those 5 Tracks are official Nintendo tracks. Brought as a DLC for the Satellaview wayyy back then. Please research before you spread misinformation in the internet.
They should have both of the BS editions re-released along with the original game.
I always wondered about the flashing cars that are about to explode. Don’t they have AAA or roadside assistance in the future.
I mean to be fair it IS a death race, they only have a problem with you if you’re trying to skip too much of the track, but exploding is fine

That's because it was. Maximum Velocity is basically F-Zero 3. And its a really good game to boot.
Too bad we will never properly see Forest I, Forest II, Forest III, Metal Fort I, and Metal Fort II-unless Nintendo can release the Satellaview games in some form, even with no music in Grand Prix 2 since we know that was removed for the licensed music that were aired during those weeks.

Esa era la idea, pero por limitantes del sistema no se pudo implementar, además Nintendo estaba más concentrado en el lanzamiento de N64 y por eso jamás hubo secuela en esta consola.

Yes, BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 only has "Ace League", which is actually a compilation of bonus tracks from the first game (BS F-Zero Grand Prix).
"BS F-Zero Grand Prix" (also released for Satellaview), has 4 leagues: Knight, Queen, King, Ace (all released individually).

F-Zero 2 was a Japan-exclusive for the Satellaview back in the day.
New tracks and additional content was released all the time, until the service was dropped.
Via satellite, data could be sent to the home console by using a special peripheral that allowed to receive data.
This data could be saved on special cartridges.
In the case of F-Zero 2, not all tracks have been found on cartridge and dumped, though gameplay footage of the missing tracks exist online.

I have a copy of it and even though I have beaten all the ranks from beginner to master the ace league remains as the only option/race whereas with the original f-zero game it had 3 different leagues.
