It also calls back to a little joke from the first movie, where they had to order 10,000 new ones because the original batch of 10k was defective. It demonstrates that Bane is so strong he breaks even the "up to spec" ones.
Always found it interesting how Bane sort of pauses for a second or two when Batman says the "gang of psychopaths" line. Banes mindset is frightening as hell! As I was watching this in the theater , that line about being born in darkness and the light being blinding gave me the chills.
It is interesting to note that Hardy's acting work is mostly a voice acting, his voice is phenomenal, we know that his body is a lie, he is much smaller than his opponent and much less massive than he appears on screen, but his voice carries everything...it never cheats, in his voice is concentrated all the strength of the character.
Everytime bane spins back and punches at batman with a sort of nasally growl always gets me, there was so much intensity in that punch and it took him one punch to send batman reeling.
Batman has never faced an opponent this skilled in combat, which made the fight scenes w/ Bane very underwhelming for me personally as fantastic as his lines are, this should have been the movie where Nolan makes Batman shine as a warrior in hand to hand combat punching and kicking , like he's saying 'forget all that pay attention to all the cinema I'm giving you', which is much appreciated but... I wanted to see Batman fight, Mr. Nolan lol
Bats has to get his ass whooped in order for him winning the fight at the end to feel significant, especially given that Bane is a brawler. Joker beat up Bats mentally, they never fought cause that’s not what Joker does. But if the main villain is a fighter, you can’t just have Batman walk up, beat his ass the first time they meet, and walk away. Gotta show why he’s a threat
I remember seeing this on opening night and even though I knew that Bane would beat Batman and break his back, that this was still very unsettling to watch 😅.

Tom hardy played a hell of a role and bulked up big time to play bane! What a amazing actor he is
Banes mindset is frightening as hell!
Wow, I've never seen Batman get fukd up like that
I love reciting this - “Ahhhh you think darkness is your Allie!…”
The dialogue is cool but it is too obvious how the audio was tweaked to be louder and clearer here. The whole movie suffers from it.
‘Your spirit, or your body’ moment is my favourite moment in the trilogy
This alone makes the movie…never understood when people didn’t like this one
Maybe it was not being able to understand what was being said throughout most of the movie.
@@Solider7 i remember the first viewing had a rough mix on it but still lol
The greatest trilogy ever made.
when the boss is getting attacked and the goons just watch you know you are in deep shit.
But he had already defeated Ra's Al Ghul and the ninjas of the League of Shadows. Ra's Al Ghul was also a good opponent whom Batman defeated
My favorite part is when Batman is getting his ass beat and he throws his little party snappers at Bane 😅🤣😂🤣😅
This might have been the one time Batman shoulda reneged on his one rule. Just one bullet to the shin a la terminator 2, and the movie would be over.
0:08-how did Bane hear Batman😂?
The real question here is how didn’t Batman see Bane
I remember seeing this on opening night and even though I knew that Bane would beat Batman and break his back, that this was still very unsettling to watch 😅.
