Same, I absolutely love this movie but Bane should’ve had a deep bad ass voice to make it way better. Based on the comics I don’t think this was his voice lol
An interesting contrast between this and the beginning of The Dark Knight: Joker's hired guns in the heist from the previous movie are so disloyal they kill each other for a bigger share of the loot. Bane's men are so loyal they are willing to die for the cause at any moment. Two very different threats.

@@lifegoeson1007I think he's saying people mostly remember Heath Ledger's Joker more than Bane despite Tom Hardy also doing a good job in this role. He wasn't comparing the two.
@@user-vr5zk9ox8d I have no issues with Batman nor Bane's voice in general but it's edited too loud in this scene at the very least. Due to the background noise you shouldn't be able to hear his voice so clearly/crisply.
Zhi Kang Shao For realism purposes sure, but then you wouldn’t be able to hear what they’re saying which would be slightly counterproductive. So, what they had done as an alternative was change the camera angle for cinematography effect. To make it appear like Bane was right up in the camera, as if he was talking to the viewer and as if we were right in the action. If you notice during 2:35 and 4:18 the camera angle changes from third person to first person. This serves a couple of reasons: It gives a sense of verbal distance. The closer the angle to Bane, the louder he appears, and also directly serves for the purpose when he is talking in very few scenes to deliver a more impactful experience. The closer the camera is to Bane it draws the attention to him so his lines demand authority. The other reason is central gravity; while there is chaos happening around Bane, it takes us more in depth of the scene. It allows us to feel as if we are right in the action and also delivers better facial ability to Tom Hardy as he can only express through his eyes and much more through non verbals as we cannot see a majority of his face. It makes Bane a lot scarier as we can see how calm he is and the control that he has. Anyways, just saying that movies usually have explanations for small details like that and serve purposes.
I really love how the soldier for Bane doesn't fight against Bane's order, but accepts it as he wants to see the fires burn. Bane may be a criminal, but he treated his men with respect.
@@ayanjit9196 Maybe. But that soldier smiled, so that to me speaks volumes that Bane treated them like men instead of expendable. (Even though they were.)

I know some find Bane's voice problematic, but I find it suits Bane well. The contrast between his voice's polite, jovial nature...that sometimes sounded gentle and so rational that directly contrasted with the sheer brutality and cold ruthlessness of Bane's actions...it just downright unsettled me. Just brilliant.
I think some of it is a problem with distribution. He sounded like crap when I caught the movie in my cheap local theater. But now I'm watching this scene at home with some fancy headphones, and he sounds spectacular. It's distorted in such a way that you can barely understand it on cheap audio gear.
the voice isn't the issue, it's the mixing and adr/inconsistency. there are times when it feels like hardy changes recording booths in the middle of a scene and sometimes it's near-incomprehensible. sometimes, like in this scene, it feels far too loud and clear compared to gillen's dialogue

CIA has a history of being morally bankrupt bunglers who have done more harm to the world than every major terrorist group combined. Because they're directly responsible for creating at least half of them.
Imagine if little finger was just like “nah I don’t have time for them it’s a security risk and shit” and doesn’t let them in the plane. That would be a “written and directed by George Lucas” moments
What was he replying to? Always wondered; does he mean that he is a big guy compared to not but not necessarily some others, that it'd be painful for him or both?

Russ Haight are we started the fire
He accepted it so easily. Shows how much influence Bane has.
King Greed Nah, I think it’s iconic. People that have issues with bane’s voice are the same people that don’t like Bale’s Batman voice.
@@user-vr5zk9ox8d I have no issues with Batman nor Bane's voice in general but it's edited too loud in this scene at the very least. Due to the background noise you shouldn't be able to hear his voice so clearly/crisply.
Zhi Kang Shao
For realism purposes sure, but then you wouldn’t be able to hear what they’re saying which would be slightly counterproductive.
So, what they had done as an alternative was change the camera angle for cinematography effect. To make it appear like Bane was right up in the camera, as if he was talking to the viewer and as if we were right in the action. If you notice during 2:35 and 4:18 the camera angle changes from third person to first person. This serves a couple of reasons:
It gives a sense of verbal distance.
Anyone else think Putin was watching this and gave him the idea how to get rid of the Wagner group guy lol
I really love how the soldier for Bane doesn't fight against Bane's order, but accepts it as he wants to see the fires burn. Bane may be a criminal, but he treated his men with respect.
Or he might be afraid of a worse death in the hands of Bane.
@@ayanjit9196 Maybe. But that soldier smiled, so that to me speaks volumes that Bane treated them like men instead of expendable. (Even though they were.)
I don't recall if they were ex-members of the League of Shadows, or perhaps just indoctrinated into the ideals of the League carried on by Talia and Bane.
@@briang.2218 Regardless. I think that Bane was a respectable man to his men.
"Well perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane." Damn that's an awesome first line
It's perfect because it shows that bane isn't stupid and he knows they were doing that for a scare tactic
Because the others weren't blind folded... And they won't know for surcia killed ..maybe they will think the height wasn't enough to Kil..maybe they can fall in a water body and survive ..or maybe they had a parachute.... CIA didn't body check them
Plot twist, he can see through the mask.
@@kungflupenguin1067 I mean, out of mercy ? if you die from the shot it's less scary than falling down the plane. You don't have to be an asshole even if you feel like you have to execute someone
If I were in a position where I would absolutely have to kill someone throwing them but I could shoot them before ijn a lethal way, I probably would do it out of mercy
@@jalonglover4488 probably, but he is facing the other direction.
@@meh6502 To me that voice sounds an awful lot like Patrick Stewart; certainly Capt. Picard's speech pattern. Just an observation.
I love his voice. I got a Pringles can just to say "of course" just like him!
I think some of it is a problem with distribution. He sounded like crap when I caught the movie in my cheap local theater. But now I'm watching this scene at home with some fancy headphones, and he sounds spectacular. It's distorted in such a way that you can barely understand it on cheap audio gear.
I loved it. A couple times it sounded silly. That's it. Almost the entire movie it was perfect
the voice isn't the issue, it's the mixing and adr/inconsistency. there are times when it feels like hardy changes recording booths in the middle of a scene and sometimes it's near-incomprehensible. sometimes, like in this scene, it feels far too loud and clear compared to gillen's dialogue
"They work for the mercenary, the masked man."
"Bane?"
"Yes that's me-- aww fuck."

I love how realistic this scene is. Down to the gentle breeze blowing through their hair as they are hanging from a flying airplane.

What I loved most about this trilogy is the fact how no one has super powers, they’re just using advance poison, insane, or just worked out.
That's why it's more relatable and so is Batman
Yeah Nolan went with a more realistic approach. Everything is relatable and stuff that can actually happen
yeah but this would never work out. That top plane would have crashed as well dragging that dead weight. Also who flies a large plane that low to the ground

I found you again
You definitely been watching some Batman clips like me don't you?
Why do I find you in every comment section?
Well that CIA officer is known to have run a brothel. He gets his way in the agency by having alot of 'info'. Perhaps the agency only trust him with lower tier squads.

Bane's mercenaries: Start shooting the soldiers inside
The remaining soldiers: Drop their weapons, spin around and start beating the tied up people in the back
Honestly Iron Man 1, Spider-man 2, Logan and Joker are much better than The Dark Knight.
I mean TDK is cool with some cool dialogues but the characters are all shallow in Nolan movies.
Nolan better make character driven films like Prestige again instead of making one-dimensional character driven films with plot holes.
