I know it's an old vid, Brendan, but I'm so glad you enjoyed the castle, my clan's. For me the best shot is from the car park at high tide. or if you take the high road (I feel a song coming on) there's a viewpoint. The main reason for shooting from that side is the castle has open space behind, rather than the hills - gives it a bit of separation. Greta vid as always.
The Castle of the movie Highlander, you got better and more dramatic light than I got last year. Had blue sky and no clouds. You will like the Isle of Skye.
Hello. New subscriber here. Recently returned from a trip in Scotland. I fell in love with the Scottish Highlands (esp. Isle of Skye) - absolutely beautiful landscapes
Brendan you don't need a campground in Scotland, you can camp nearly anywhere you want there. Yes there are some areas off limits but for the most part it's wide open. We spent 2 months traveling around Scotland and camping every single night and we had some of the most awesome 5 star views you can imagine. Such a beautiful place. Love Scotland and will return to see more. Oh and you may want to pick up a couple midge nets for your heads if you're heading to Isle of Skye. Enjoy! Cheers and Peeeace! :-)
Thank you for sharing, love your Vlogs. Just curious when you are on the laptop what is Jodie doing on her's. Is she working for you or for something else ???
Graham Bridgeman-Clarke I would love to know the same! Asked on the Facebook post about it but haven't seen a reply yet. Will have to know at least a couple of days in advanced so I can make arrangements
Did you experience any ghosts at the Castle? When I lived in England for two years there were some places that were very haunted and I lived in a house with a ghost that loved to slam all the doors shut. Looks like fun. Thank You for taking us with you.
Actually loved it. I tell people that I think it must be the best value vehicle I've driven. I'm in a different model rental car every month, and this was one of the best.
Try and see Kilchurn Castle on your way back down - it can be seen on a slightly longer route from Glencoe down to the central belt. Its like Eilean Donan but better

No need for midge nets, just walk around with your mouth open. The trick is to try and eat more of them than they eat of you.
*insert Thomas Heaton's accent here* ABSOLUTELY STUNNIN'!
Loved the photographs from the castle, mate. So sick. Blue hour looked legit.
So Cool ... ty for sharing

Wales has some super castles too. Are you still looking to do a meet up in London this weekend?
Graham Bridgeman-Clarke I would love to know the same! Asked on the Facebook post about it but haven't seen a reply yet. Will have to know at least a couple of days in advanced so I can make arrangements
The meet up is still happening. I'll be posting in the event on FB shortly.
Cheers Brendan

How did you like the 3008? I drove mine over 24,000 miles in the first year. Not to Eilean tho 🥴

my grandad played the pipes when they reopened eilean castle in the 1930s
No one ever shows the inside of this castle. Is it closed to the public?
Do you realise you are wearing your hat backwards? If so why?
