    You missed the most magical place in Scotland, The Isle of Arran, aka ''Scotland in miniature''. Where the north has multiple like Munro Mountains, and the south has beautiful white sand beaches. Anyone visiting the island will not be disappointed.

    Thank you for showing off my country. I live up in Inverness (used to live in Fort William). I'm impressed you managed to pronounce the places right, but you still have trouble with "loch" lol (don't worry, even Scots have trouble with it sometimes). May I recommend going in April-June if you want the best months for festivals, weather and springtime? I'd also like to recommend some places I quite like that are smaller in scale but still lovely: Nairn (especially the beach), Glen Affric (one of the filming locations of Detective Pikachu), Route 500 (please keep it clean, lots of tourists litter), John o' Groats (puffins!), Glasgow (for the culture hotpot that it is), the general Gairloch area (Ullapool and Poolewe included). I'd like to give a soft mention to "The Whisky Trail" which is along the east in Moray towards Aberdeen (since you mentioned Harry Potter a lot in this video, Dufftown was also mentioned in Harry Potter which is also worth a sneaky visit for whisky) and a quick mention to House of Bruar along the A9 if you want to buy touristy stuff (care on the price, but it's top quality...also the small chip shop there sells lobster), it's also in an area that has lovely scenery and hiking spots. One last mention to the gorgeousness that is the Cairngorms which features skiing, Aviemore, Loch Morlich, the Highland Wildlife Park (they take good care of their animals) plenty nature trails and Rothiemurchus: a protected forest that is part of the last 1% of original ancient woodland.

      @@AHylianWarrior We were just there in April and May, and there are few, if any festivals. If people want festivals, then the summer months of June, July and August are festival time. The Highland Games in different areas are only scheduled in June and July,when they get most of the visitors.

    As a Lanarkshire lad and sometime Glaswegian, I hope you make it back one day to explore the west and south west as well as our islands. The Ayrshire coast is stunning and with its history of Rabbie Burns is well worth a visit. Glasgow is perhaps not as pretty as Edinburgh but if you dig deeper, it has a wee bit more soul with vibrant communities in the south side and west end.

    I don't want to be too much of a noodge, but a couple of small points:
    One would not ever say "Glencoe Valley" since Glen means Valley. So it is simply Glencoe or Glen Coe.
    One would not refer to Loch Ness or any other lochs as being Lakes. They are lochs.

    Ok .. so flying a drone in the UK, I guess specifically Scotland. Difficult? Risky? Typical? No big deal? I've had drones here in the states for years and pretty familiar with FAA rules and regulations. Currently using DJI Mini 3 Pro so it's under 250g. I see plenty of drone footage from the UK but I'm curious about the overall experience. I have a few apps I use currently but is there anything specific you recommend?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are some places you're not allowed to fly in Scotland (such as the Viaduct). But most other places in nature were fine. Check the country rules before going though, as it changes so quickly!

    Your pronunciation of places here was impeccable. We Scots get very annoyed with visitors mispronouncing words like Edinburgh.

    Haste ye back!

    Great video :) Can I ask you what type of jacket would you recommend for hiking in Scotland (beginning of April)?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a good wind + rain jacket! But we’d also recommend a winter coat.

    What’s your suggestion for traveling from Edinburgh to Glencoe? Is there a train that takes from point a to point b?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can probably get there by public transportation but it's going to take some time. There's a bus to Glencoe from Glasgow. So you need to first get to Glasgow by bus / train

    What a beautiful video!
    I was wondering how long did was the trip and how much did it cost you including the car rental and the accommodation?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว

      We spent a total of 14 days in Scotland. Probably between 2,500-3,000USD total for the both of us. Especially the car was expensive + gas. Also food and drinks, but we often just bought some ready-to-go meals in the supermarket. Accommodations we booked were around 60$ per night which is actually on the low end for Scotland!

    What mode of transportation do you recommend? Car or public transport?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Car! Public transport is harder if you want to get to the nature places. Public transportations is great inside the cities and between cities / towns.

    My dream travel is Scotland. With that said, I would need a rental. My concern is driving. I'm from the USA - and I don't know if I could drive safely on the other side. Seems silly, but to me it feels like an algebra problem. How challenging is it?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s a bit challenging indeed! We’re not going to lie… we were a bit nervous around the cities because there’s much more traffic and way too many roundabouts! But our strategy was to get out of the city as quickly as possible and get into nature (the roads were a lot more quiet). We got used to driving after a few days and visited the cities more at the end of our trip
