Love your adventures. When my husband and I went to Scotland for the first time. We met one of the local pipers on the Mile and bought drinks for him and his girlfriend. When they found out it was our 40th anniversary we all hiked up to Arthur's Seat and the piper played a tune for us as we sat on one of the boulders looking out over Edinburgh at sunset.. Thanks Yvonne! I definitely had a hard time with those names but thanks for your kind suggestions and advice! I need them!! And I’ll have to take up your offer when I’m in Edinburgh!!
There’s some great places in Scotland to go to, one which most likely wouldn’t come up in most searches is lochindorb, which is north of grantown, it is a Loch with (a now though to be artificially created) island in it which has the ruins of a castle which used to be the seat of a a man who later became known as “the wolf of badenoch” who is known for burning down Elgin cathedral amongst other things, you do need a boat or kayak of some sort to get out to the island but it’s a nice place to go even if you don’t have that, from there you can also travel down to aviemore and the Cairngorms which also has some fantastic scenery and places to visit
I'm loving this video you should embrace the terrible pronunciation we love that no one can pronounce our place names try for example Milngavie (mil-ghy) or Ecclefechan
Thank you I really enjoyed that - your pronounciations were hysterical but well done for trying and when you said you thought Scotland was flat - it made me giigle - keep your eyes and your heart open and you will enjoy this wonderful planet -thanks again - job well done

Next time! :)
If you want a night out and some fun, go to Glasgow
I have to go back!
More like if you want to be stabbed lol
Scotland is incredible :) nice shots:)
Such a magical land!
I love Scotland. Such a beautiful place. Greetings from Bulgaria.
It's such a special place! That's awesome you live in Bulgaria! I was there last summer in Varna!
Edinbro, Glen-feenan vee-aduct, holyrod park, loch la-mond HAHAHAHA!! Good effort though
Ross M84 I definitely had a hard time 😅 are you from Scotland?
@@RyanShirley yeah, I'm from Scotland. It was a good effort, I love people trying to pronounce our place names 😂
glasscow was the one that got me
I was hoping he would visit Buachaille Etive Mor in Glen Coe. 🤣🤣
Should really check out Schiehallion and Auchterarder 😉 to be fair I know fellow Scots that struggle with place names 😂
I've visited over 100 countries. Scotland is Number 1.
That's why I now live there.
Dang, I'm jealous you live there!
Great vid sir.
Phonetic pronunciation of some of the places named - Edinburra, Glazgo, Holyrude, GlenFinnin.
Thanks man for the help with pronunciations! It was tough! Are you from Scotland?
Yep 👍
Or Glezga if ye bide in Aiberdeen. 😉😂
Haha like other Scots I was correcting pronunciations but it's a good video.
You've missed some really good places but Skye is absolutely stunning. Need a good amount of time up there to do everything.
Edin-bo-ro.... Mkay!!
COME TO FALKIRK!
Graham McKenzie Stunning but the rubbish is disgusting.
Scotland is such a beautiful and free land
Its one amazing place!
Loch Limond is where you might find the elusive Limmy. The Limmy is a rare beast, which legend has no business in Yoker.
Is the Limmy like the Loch Ness Monster?
Scotland is such a beautiful country, your travel videos and drone footage are honestly the best on this app, I have the post notifications on
Thanks so much friend! Where are you from?
@@RyanShirley I'm from county Waterford in Ireland but I live in the UK, and I love both countries so much, I'm really hoping for a video on Indian, Pakistan and Nepal though, I love these countries and their beautiful cultures
I loved ur passion for my country but had to laugh at the amount of times you apologised in case u'd pronounced areas wrong........but didn't with Edinburgh or Glasgow which you couldn't have pronounced more wrong if ud tried 💙 Edinburgh is pronounced Edin....burrah or Edin...bruh or the toon as we call it here 👍& Glasgow is Glazz...go!
If ur ever in Edinburgh again, I'll give you a tour of the top 10 best pubs, live bands, a pint of tennents & Scottish banter....can't beat it. Fab vid & as I said, ur love of Scotland will always be returned tenfold 🏴🏴 💙 🏴🏴
Thanks Yvonne! I definitely had a hard time with those names but thanks for your kind suggestions and advice! I need them!! And I’ll have to take up your offer when I’m in Edinburgh!!

‘I didn’t know scotland had just big mountains i thought it was pretty flat’
‘Glasscow’
‘Edinburrow’
🤪
Only the highest mountain on this land mass
"Edinbro"
Gimme five
Haha yes!
I like to thank you for making this video. It makes my future planning to Scotland much easier.
Aye!! I’m so glad I could help :)
Love this video so much but as someone from Scotland it was hard to listen to you pronouncing some of these words 😂😂
Same lisa
Hard for me to listen to that backgound music! Why not some soft Celtic sounds??
@@lynnquillen4813 no thank you, wait do you mean the football team or Keltic music (still spelt celtic just so you can tell what I'm talking about)
@@Kaid2710 ????
@@lynnquillen4813 Celtic is a football team, it has music. Celtic (Pronojnced Keltic) is traditional Scottish things
Passion and enthusiasm for beautiful landscapes. What's not to like! Well done.
Thanks so much friend! Its hard not to fall in love with scotland! Where are you from?
@@RyanShirley Scotland, originally :-D
I'm loving this video
you should embrace the terrible pronunciation
we love that no one can pronounce our place names
try for example Milngavie (mil-ghy)
or Ecclefechan
Richard Boyle I live near milngavie, its a ridiculous name to be fair.
Thank you I really enjoyed that - your pronounciations were hysterical but well done for trying and when you said you thought Scotland was flat - it made me giigle - keep your eyes and your heart open and you will enjoy this wonderful planet -thanks again - job well done

Pretty sure he has it correct in the video. EdinburUH
Ryan Shirley always shocks me how it’s hard for people to say Burgh haha. But honestly man really loved the video actually made me wanna head back home. And yeah I’m from Edinburgh :)
Ezra Friedman lol well I am Scottish so I think I know if it’s said right.
Scotland is magical. Thank you for sharing one of our favorite countries to visit.
It truly felt like a scene from a movie! I hope you can visit soon :)
Edinburgh is a city also it’s pronounced ehh din brr uuu h
Close enough, don't say EdinBruh to a scot tho, it'll trigger us.

My family came from Kilmarnock. I am not pure scot, because I was born in America, but I can speak Scottish, and I have visited there over 5 times. Erase yér heends fer Scotland!
Marcheski TV I’m from Dundonald which is only a few miles from Kilmarnock.
Omg. You are murdering the names of all the sites. I really recommend you watch some Scotland videos to learn the correct pronuciations. 😜
I definitely screwed them up! My bad. Are you from Scotland?
Ryan Shirley I am from Scotland and you did murder the names but I’m not bothered because you did scotland a service. Great vid
@@RyanShirley who cares if you never pronounced properly man, your not from here so fair play for trying.
Am American, moved to edinburgh in 1987 and never looked back. Your enthusiasm touches me with nostalgia for the same wonder (and shite pronunciation! :-) I felt when I first arrived. I live on Calton Hill and yet despite being right in the thick of it for many years, frequently I am still awestruck as I walk down Princes Street and look up,to the castle or many of the other eye candies dotted throughout my adopted city and country - still the most beautiful in the world. Thanks.
This is one of my favorite comments I've ever gotten, I think thats so cool you moved there and you understand what its like to see everything for the first time and the difficult translations. I'm jealous you live in Calton hill, its hard to beat the magic of that city.
@@RyanShirley flew in with my motorcycle, landed in prestwick on the west coast. I will never forget that first jaw dropping moment as I entered edinburgh at the west end of princes street and looked up at the castle and gardens. It was like real life Middle Earth…! I live mostly in Prague now, but still have my flat on calton hill; sadly can’t shuttle between the two frequently as I used to thanks to COVID. The Hebrides are my favourite and also I highly recommend the Isle of Man. If u get back to edinburgh give me a shout and can offer the apartment.
