It’s still wild to me that you heard that kid say that somehow. Side note: I noticed a repeating theme of bad paint schemes from the 47 this year and in recent years.
Eric: Not enough cheese. GIVE ME MORE CHEESE!!! I want it all over the car. JTG with Sara Lee bread: Alright. We raise you a whole loaf of bread. Eric: TOO MUCH BREAD!!!!
As someone who works in graphic arts (even interned with RCR), I've had to do my fair share of horrible artwork for customers who don't know the first thing about art. It sucks when you spend time on artwork that looks awesome only to have the customer ask you to shoehorn some other crap that looks horrible. That's the design they usually go with too. I imagine sponsors are subject to the same... lapses in aesthetic judgement. Especially when there are more than one being prominently featured.
The Stealth Bomber McDonald’s scheme eventually grew up but I definitely agree it was a step down from last year’s scheme. Hopefully next year’s design is able to capture some of the magic of the 2022 scheme.
The design room at 23-11: -You know how out restaurants are boring corporate gray? Let’s make a NASCAR livery based off that! Let’s make our moving build bored GRAY!!!
Eric I would love to see you do videos for Xfinity and trucks. I want to know what your favorite and non favorite paint schemes were from this year in those series
Next time a race is going to fall on April the first, can we get a race where every team designs and runs the ugliest scheme possible? I'm not even sure advertisers would hate the idea. It'd certainly be talked about
Bottom of the heap this year for me would be... 3. William Byron's HP Z scheme from the Roval; 2. Bubba Wallace's McDonald's scheme; 1. the LMC No.42 Sunseeker Resorts scheme driven by Noah Gragson. All have one thing in common - drab, ugly, lifeless, CORPORATE grey. Also, nice reference to one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes!
@ericestepp I thought of the out of the groove car in Darlington was good looking one because I got my name on the car 2 I seen it in person it was one the best schemes at Darlington not the best scheme but for me it’s a top 3 for sure
Eric your video can only make my day better I had a long day at school and was sick the past 3 days so I have a ton of work to make up can’t get any worse then that
Eric talking paint schemes and I’m here for it. The fact that people get paid to design these is even more frustrating. The #23 McDonald’s car is pure garbage
I had this same issue. Actually waiting on the belt to arrive. I take the dryer apart every year to vacuum it and clean all the lint out and then replace my vent tubing too so when mine just clicked I disassembled it and bam, no belt. I’m glad it was simple to fix.
You're reactions are absolutely hilarious to me. This is the funniest video of yours I've seen. I agree with all of the choices and reasons behind them. Great video!
Most of these schemes you mentioned did end up on my least favorite paint schemes list because of how hideous they look, but one scheme that you mentioned that I don’t mind that made it to my favorites this year is Chase Briscoe’s MVP car. Some of the rest I didn’t include since it’s only 1 per number/driver, but I do agree with one of the poor designs and questionable stuff on the car like Ryan Preece’s car with the QR code. 😂
To be fair, Food 4 Less is pretty strict about their branding, (worked with them for a charity event,) and it is NOT Velveeta yellow. They would never have allowed it to be adjusted to match
Honestly, you showed a clip last week how kyle busch had 15 schemes this year. So with JTG, you gotta like the creativity. Cause they run almost a different scheme every week. So they bound to have a few off ones. JTG has some dedicated partners and the gonna do what they can to make sure all of them represented.
I'm surprised you didn't have the Byron Z HP car from the Roval race, I think it was definitely way worse than the white Relay car he ran. Man, Byron had some awesome schemes this year, but then a couple of absolute let-downs...
5:46 Kind of related: Anyone else get super annoyed by commercials/ads/etc. that have QR codes up for less than a second? I rarely scan QR codes, but if I wanted to, I wouldn't even be able to bring my phone up fast enough to scan it before it's gone!
Stenhouse Jr's paint schemes always disappoint every year. Like can Stenhouse and his team do something to stop making it to the top 10 worst paint schemes.
The Ricky Stenhouse Irish Spring/Kroger schemes are always hideous. That would be my #1. I intentionally shop at any grocery store other than Kroger and use any soap other than Irish Spring because of how dumb that car looks.
I would totally put the hamburglar car in my list of top schemes of the year. I love that and the grimace, too. I also don't mind the gray McDonald's scheme as much.
My top 5 worst schemes: 1.) Kyle Busch Lenovo 2.) Petty GMS 42 Sunseekers 3.) William Byron Jr. Relay 4.) Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Kroger 5.) Martin Truex Jr. Auto Owners & Reser’s
I do like the idea Abba Coliseum type race for the class I wouldn't be opposed to one of the tracks that are not used today in NASCAR such as Rockingham but I do like the idea of them building a track inside a colosseum no matter which Colosseum it is and take it everywhere where there's not a track already
I respect your opinion on the Hamburglar paint scheme, and I have to agree with the McDonald’s primary scheme, it should be red, white and yellow, not gray. That scheme does not make me want to get a Big Mac, it makes me want to go eat something else.
Allmendingers Celsius paint scheme needs some work. It's so incredibly boring and it looks like something someone might quickly make in Forza a few minutes before their race starts. It needs more color!
My least favorite paint scheme this year was easily Almirola's #10 at Bristol. The one where the front half was Smithfield and the back half was IHOP. It looks like they had two separate wraps, cut them in half and Frankensteined them together right down the middle. Ick!
I agreed with #9 Bubba. But should have been higher. It’s like hey the front and hood look awesome, let’s go home. Perhaps the guys that designed Bubba’s front and hood should get with the #47 Valveeda guys and work together on a car.
It never fails: You can guarantee every year, at least ONE JTG Daughtery scheme will be on the list.
I need to look at all of these videos to confirm or deny this
Which I don’t understand tbh, they have some of the best schemes every year, at least imo.
@@smunger69i mean they run a new paint scheme just about every weekend so there's atleast 1 dud in the batch
And somehow they'll have a scheme in the top 10!
@@thatpaintschemeguy8 I guess that’s fair lol
It's crazy to me how somebody drew these, showed them to everyone required to approve a scheme, and nobody said no
I wonder the same thing, especially marketing people at the sponsors!
It’s still wild to me that you heard that kid say that somehow.
Side note: I noticed a repeating theme of bad paint schemes from the 47 this year and in recent years.
hello danald
Imagine hearing a little kid verbally sh*tting on a car that you’re a part of.
Eric: Not enough cheese. GIVE ME MORE CHEESE!!! I want it all over the car.
JTG with Sara Lee bread: Alright. We raise you a whole loaf of bread.
Eric: TOO MUCH BREAD!!!!
Lol
Omg, so hilarious 😂
I like the Out of the Groove scheme it just reminds me of a summer sunset
That bubba Wallace McDonald’s car is basically how modern McDonald’s architecture look like gray and lifeless
I love that you invoked Krabby O'Monday's lol
william byron really had some mid paint schemes that’s were sus for oss scanning…
The Z sponsored car that he ran on the Charlotte Roval is the first scheme that comes to mind. 😭
the talladega fall scheme was 100% a cheated car 💀

6:11 needs to be clipped in Eric estepp history
9:43 I honestly really like this, the dark red specialy.
Just a thought on the Truex car: the aqua stripe is probably a tribute to Sherry. Other than that, totally agree with the list 😅
The Phoenix 2 version of split DeWalt/Rheem was worse because they kept added in the red on the side making it less cohesive
The Stealth Bomber McDonald’s scheme eventually grew up but I definitely agree it was a step down from last year’s scheme. Hopefully next year’s design is able to capture some of the magic of the 2022 scheme.
To be fair, McDonald's restaurants look like that gray corporate look.
We must fight back
@@EricEstepp You have my sword.

Lmao… “If you’re gonna cover the car in cheese… cover the car in cheese” 😂😂😂
1:54 I think the SB episode your looking for is Season 4 Episode 5 Segment 1 titled "Selling Out"
Eric I would love to see you do videos for Xfinity and trucks. I want to know what your favorite and non favorite paint schemes were from this year in those series
Imagine that Joey Logano ran the bread paint scheme, slice bread will have a whole new meaning.
Next time a race is going to fall on April the first, can we get a race where every team designs and runs the ugliest scheme possible? I'm not even sure advertisers would hate the idea. It'd certainly be talked about
Plain white car. Comic Sans number. Times New Roman sponsor logo
@@DepravedCoTApologist 😂 exactly. neon pink on the top, piss yellow on the bottom, TV static everywhere in between.
Kroger should have dominated the entire top 10, frankly, cause the hood on Stenhouse's car tends to ruin almost any scheme because of it. XD
Yup
Sometimes
they very often changed its color this year
3:34 RCR Morgan and Morgan definitely should be on this list
I like that car tbh
That Byron Relay car looks like one of those bleak Maxim Magazine cars you would’ve seen from BK Racing in the mid 2010s
Frankly McDonald's these days is all about modernization, which unfortunately involves making most of their restaurants grey buildings
Byron pods, Larson black and blue Darlington and Reddick Carolina blue were my favorites.
Honorable mention : the Aric Almirola Smithfield/IHOP paint scheme
Bottom of the heap this year for me would be... 3. William Byron's HP Z scheme from the Roval; 2. Bubba Wallace's McDonald's scheme; 1. the LMC No.42 Sunseeker Resorts scheme driven by Noah Gragson. Lol, we actually like Truex's Reser's car from this year. The blue stripe looks cool on the car.
I actually like the 2023 McDonald's car... it looks like the actual restaurants do now.
Eric your video can only make my day better I had a long day at school and was sick the past 3 days so I have a ton of work to make up can’t get any worse then that

10:10 ive always loved this car just for how fugly the car is and yes it was improved this year
I had this same issue. Actually waiting on the belt to arrive. I take the dryer apart every year to vacuum it and clean all the lint out and then replace my vent tubing too so when mine just clicked I disassembled it and bam, no belt. I’m glad it was simple to fix.
The Velveeta car was a huge disappointment. Could have been a masterpiece
Agreed
I really love your channel. I really enjoy watching your paint scheme videos, especially when you do the Darlington schemes
Maybe I'm biased as a Truex fan, but I loved the Reser's scheme he dominated and won Loudon in. Definitely pain to see it make this list
Yeah, the one he won New Hampshire in this year wasn't that bad either.
It's great that you got sponsored on a racecar. Impressive.
I think you meant sesame seeds, not poppy seeds on the M's car two years ago. ;)
The Hamburgular car was fire
Yessir my day always gets better when Eric uploads
The first one that comes to mind is Christopher Bell's final 4 car
Pretty sure most of these violate §20-2.1-C: “Cars must be neat appearing.” Especially the Hamburglar car.
You're reactions are absolutely hilarious to me. This is the funniest video of yours I've seen. I agree with all of the choices and reasons behind them. Great video!
Honestly I feel like all the resers fine foods cars will always look bad
Reasons companies are leaving nascar
Too expensive ❌❌❌
Fear that they might end up on Eric’s least favorite paint scheme video ✅✅✅
William Byron Z by HP gets the award for most tonedeaf scheme of the year.
I think i would have put the Hamburglar car on my top 10 Best schemes lol.

I'm kinda shocked that Byron's Z HP sponsored car wasn't in this list. I feel like that scheme was much worse than the hamburglar car.
Same, a lot worse than the white Relay car too imo. The Relay car at least had some colour, the HP car was just basically flat white and grey lol
@@CXY888 Plus, the pink window net and the yellow playoff banner on the car made the scheme look 10x worse. 😂
I feel like it's just too plain and that's it
The cars have been wrapped for 10+ years, when do we stop calling them "paint schemes"?
Geez.. i completely disagree with 9 AND 10. I liked both of those schemes 💀 Bubba's looked modern, and Bell's looked futuristic
9 is genuinely awful, gray is a horrible base color
Fun episode! good to see the good the bad and the ugly!
Harvick plain ass green hunts Brothers Pizza was soo bad
Fly high Hamburglar 🫡
when i first say the bubble wallace mcdonald’s scheme he was running a back up car so i thought maybe the team didn’t have time to finish wrapping it

I love the hamburgler car!
Someone forgot about William Byron’s charlotte roval car
I just hated how the stripes just above the Toyota logo and the ones on the hood don’t match, drives me nuts
First no bread wraps and then COVER IT IN CHEESE!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm surprised you didn't have the Byron Z HP car from the Roval race, I think it was definitely way worse than the white Relay car he ran. Man, Byron had some awesome schemes this year, but then a couple of absolute let-downs...
Forreal. I’m a fan of his and I hated the pods scheme the most.
im very happy im not the only person to despise that Hamburglar car,. it looks unsponsored almost. and bro the dude is off-center on the car.
The Bubba Wallace Mcdonalds one just looks like their buildings, just modern and dead 😂
Speedy cash is honestly in my top 10 favorites. I really like green and black together and the red completes it
