  • It is estimated that you have a one in 315,856 chance of pulling one of the rarest rookie cards for a modern Hall of Famer, the Frank Thomas 1990 Topps card without his name printed on the front.
Mark Dupray tells us about the blackless error cards. Then Mark and Phillies pitcher Matt Strahm go through more packs where the no name Frank Thomas card was found, and they come up with some amazing finds.
This story will make you go back through your 1990 Topps baseball card collection in search of some of the most valuable cards of the junk wax era.

Awesome information about 1990 topps cards! It wasn’t clear though what type of pack your guest pulled the Blackless card from when he lived in Japan, wac pack, rack pack, or cello pack? Also, how did you get a box of cards that just happened to have Blackless cards in it that had never been searched?
