Got mine 4 weeks ago, and I've been loving it, well worth the money considering nothing else like it exists.
But yeah I'm getting the 4090 when it releases in 4 days, my 2080Ti with a DP 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter isn't cutting it.
Do you think the monitor would have been better if it was glossy?

5:00 is not true. This display does not support multi streaming. You can only choose one HDMI input at a time to display. Anything else you want to display will need be through the built into the TV apps. You can not use thing as a replacement for multiple monitors.
Which is really dumb when the odyssey g9 super ultrawide can do that and came out before this. This might as well just be a tv then.
PCMIA connector is what you were looking for, later known as PC-Card. But looked more like an ultra wide SCSI connector to me.

That monitor supports 4 inputs! I would totally plug my speakers into the monitor instead of the tv because I can switch inputs for my speakers too!
Funny details is I recently bought that same Be Quiet system of yours in black. So now I know I would need to make space for it to stay visible, if I decided to buy the monitor :D
Makes me think of the displays I saw in Vegas with people who were playing those slot machines, huge tall displays that were curved.

What do you mean no one uses the headphone on the monitor? That's the easy way to get the audio out of a console. Connect it to the audio-in on the PC.

Last year in my calc class we had to determine the focal point for a curved surface, and we used a monitor to measure and verify it 😭

Hello i have same monitor and wana ask you somthing. While monitor is set to 165hz and game set on full screen if i alt+tab while gaming screen goes black for 3-4 sec or while i quit game also same. If i use window or bordless screen no issue , also if i change 165 hz to 120hz it does not have any problems ,
Also while i am using ark dial and going to game mode. , i can see HDR is off it must be on himself not ?

Because that panel size is small for TVs but large for monitors, at least relative to the existing markets (most users still on 24" to 27"), so panel makers will target the bleeding edge on mass market panels where they benefit from economies of scale and can recoup their costs/profit.
I personally want to see more higher spec 38" ultrawides for some of the immersion that Brett was getting here, but more practical size and viewing distance for normal desktop use.

but 2K mini Led is available to buy
but if want curved, SAMSUNG G8 neo 32" 4K 240hz HDR2000 10bit 1:1million contrast curved is available now to buy and its best monitor in those size range
In 49" Odessey G9 Neo is perfect (not neo version is cheaper and very good too but its not mini led it use very high quality VA panel with quantum dot all 240hz and very high contrast HDR 1000)
but neo version is HDR2000 and far better contrast and about 500 USD more expensive
even G8 Neo 32" is about 100 USD pricier than G9 49" none neo
in very large panels SAMSUNG ODYSSEY ARK 55" is perfect too but very expensive 3500 USD (not as much as Apple super expensive monitors)
with alot of features like built in OS
so u can use without any PC or console and play with geforce now, stadia, Xbox etc and alot of app it has,
has PIP (samsung G7, G8 , G9 all has it)
can see up to 4 diferent device same time with many mods to choose their positions

the max i got out of it was 120Hz
@@adolini92 What gpu do you have? 4K 144hz is possible with a 30 series card.
@@zackzeed I know people are getting the 165hz, but I believe you need to use HDMI 2.1.

i use the headphone port sometimes, to run to a portable speaker, so all the audio of your inputs, just route to 1 audio device. After you plug in all your devices, you gonna run 4 separate audio lines into a mixer? Don't bash some things Son, people like you got our headphone jack removed from phones.
The setup was a bit like watching a red setter build a model airplane. (Awesome)
So funny. I built mine together alone and while I wasn't fun. The evaluation was two people or one meat cutter(butcher)
do not buy that monitor, its a nightmare to use. you will regret it.

Has anyone seen 21:9 displays that are tv sized? Ive seen menu displays at some restaurants. But I had no luck finding a distributor that sold direct to consumer.

I have my headphones plugged into the monitor. And my mouse and keyboard, then when I switch PC I just plug the USB cable from the monitor into the other PC.

does not seem like a good monitor to me , it only has a pixel density of 80 pixels per square inch , this needs to be 5k at least , i have a 48 inch oled at 4k and still the ppi is too low .
technically, you are not suppose to keep the monitor so close. You are suppose to keep it at least 30 inches away. By not having it so close the DPI can be larger.
Should have ran a better game that could take advantage of the high refresh rate
If they combined this tech with the bendability of the Corsair monitor, that would be the endgame!

I just bought the Odyssey G7 27" 1000R (2021). Cost R10999, but damn I am impressed, and at 1440P the pixel density is just about perfect.
I'm not purchasing it because it's not 5k nor 8k.. what a waste.

Why would you spend 3,500$ on this when you could get an OLED LG tv for a good bit less money but comparable/better features? I'm legit asking, not being an ass but really curious if someone could explain it to me. I'm currently rocking an Odyssey G9 and a 48" LG OLED CX myself.
