I have a storm door infront of my front door. I wonder in this Texas heat if this particular camera would be a good choice for me. Or I guess I would have to mount the camera to my storm door.
I didn’t get to test it in that kind of heat, so I can’t tell you 100% you’d be good. But it is rated up to 140 degrees. That’s about as good as it gets as far as high temperature ratings.
Are there any non-invasive apartment door cameras like this that work with HomeKit? Or any workaround options you could recommend?
You could use The Aqara G4 Doorbell, but you’d need to worry about the adhesive peeling the paint. The Eufy 2C could be used somewhere near the door, but you’d have a couple small screw holes. The perfect non-invasive HomeKit option doesn’t exist.
I would have liked the ability to store video locally on an SD card or NAS
Both would be great options. Especially for the price.
Does anyone know which UDP & TCP ports need to be opened on WiFi Routers for the App to find a DoorCam 2 or DoorCam 3 ? Worked out of the box using Cox internet supplied Wi-Fi router, but not on an Aircove Router (yes I turned off the VPN) I can't find any specs on ports. These work great, but support is lacking. Feel free to reach out to me, I will test and report results.

I’d worry about the install being a little flimsy on a thin storm door. Depends on the thickness of the door though.
I have mine on my storm door and it’s fine. Rocks a little but it works.
