Great Review, which one you think better outside the house, The Eufy SoloCam S340 or this 4G LTE S330, i live in the city in my area great Wifi Thanks George.
Thanks, George another great review. I’ve been watching you for a while and talk to you about a Wired system for my Home but wireless would be much easier for me at this time. Waiting for you to say this is the best thing since Tootsie Pops. Glad your health is really great now your new place looks awesome. ❤️🙏
Hi, thank you for all of your great reviews. I'm looking to install a wireless doorbell camera and wireless outdoor cameras, I'm trying to decide between reolink, eufy and tapo. What would you recommend?
You’re very welcome & thanks for watching! As far as Wi-Fi cameras, all three make an argument is my favorite. So you really can’t go wrong. I give the slight edge to Eufy.
Hi! Nice review. I currently have the orignal Ring spotlight battery cameras. They are decent for alerting me to the UPS fellow or other, but for facial recognition in the event of criminal activity, they are sorely lacking. What is the resolution of this camera and how would you say it compares to the 1080p of the Ring? What about detection range? And, do you need to subscribe to any monthly service or is everything stored on the SD card from which you can retrieve and download footage. Finally, what would you consider as a choice for a really high end wifi or cellular surveilance camera? Are there any options that record 24/7 you might recommend, with notifications?
George, We live in rural MT and have a large fenced yard for the pups. We're not concerned with strangers approaching (They'd have to low crawl 1000 meters before even getting close to our property line, and we're an open carry state) but we do have a blind spot in the fenced yard that we'd like to monitor so when the dogs are outside we make sure they not chasing gophers under the fence and running and bothering the cattle. Is this camera the one you'd recommend? Thanks for your input and videos
Hi George - thank you for doing all these reviews!! I am a long time Nest user, and would love to find an alternative. I am continuing to use my old Nest cams because 1) I don't want to switch to Google, and 2) the 24/7 recording option. Are you aware of any cameras that are indoor/outdoor and have a 24/7 option? I'm ok with paying for a subscription as long as I'm the only one doing the monitoring. I have tried out a couple of the solar Tapo cameras, and while I love their resolution compared to Nest, the detection is for crap. As it seems to be for most cameras...hence wanting to be able to check to see what the camera failed to detect and record. THanks again!
Thank you for a great review. When I read the comments to this video someone asks you which one you prefer, Eufy S330 or S340. What‘a the main reason for that? What’s the major drawback if you choose S330 instead of S340?
Hi George, I've been following your channel for some time now. Great content and good reviews. Thanks for your honesty. I have the Reolink version of this Eufy camera called the Reolink TrackMix LTE. It also uses the EIOT Club SIM card. Although EIOT claims they choose the best cellular service for the camera, you can chat with them and change the service to any of the majors. When I setup my camera, they chose T-Mobile for me, I had to change it to Verizon which was the better service provider for this particular camera. Question for you, I'd like to buy this Eufy, did this camera communicate via 4G with your storage unit door closed? If so would you mind saying which provider worked for you? I am moving my son soon and putting his things in storage. We will be putting in a camera and plugging that into a power station for added charge in case the internal battery goes dead without AC power. Thanks
Hey George, Can I just use one of my Verizon sim card that's already active on my Verizon account? Or does Eufy make you use the provided sim card and sign up with them?
Thank you for the comprehensive review for this camera. I bought this camera and I am planning to install it on a construction site. Is the micro 128GB SIM card capable of recording 24/7 which is my goal? Is there a specific setting for this or is a default setting? If so I imagine I can swap the SIM card and back up on an external HD as I want to preserve the footage on a monthly basis if possible. Any words of wisdom are appreciated.
After a ton of research we picked this camera because of the wifi / data options for a chunk of land we have wifi on while there but while down south for the winter we can use the data option. We have had it for 3 weeks now and have been having fun testing it.
I purchased an arlo go 2 after my original arlo go stopped working. The arlo go 2 requires a subscription to save and access cloud videos. I suspect that why my original one stopped connecting. The arlo go 2 only connects to Verizon and no WiFi option. Is this camera a good replacement?
Have you ever reviewed TPZ that zoom at least 30x? I just got the SV3C that has 36x… great but it’s not always user friendly and can just lose recording function. It’s expensive and big which is fine but anything else that’s better you’ve found? The initial field of view is also narrow and it loves to zoom in on my neighbors mailbox or the fire hydrant regardless what I do to the settings. Thanks
Literally been looking for something like this. Have a building in NYC but I don't live there or have internet there yet and wanted a camera to monitor the place. This should work I think.
@@GeorgeLangabeer It would be outside over the front door on a busy intersection in Brooklyn so should be fine. Do you have one of those vandal proof housings to put over it that you can recommend?
Thanks for a good review, Eufy has a good range of products. Would love to see a side-by-side with the Reolink Go PT, especially out in an open field or somewhere you can setup and leave for a week or so for a good comparison over time.
Excellent review! I really like the Eufy brand. I don’t agree with your comment about it being plastic. Pretty much every camera is plastic and if you had a metal camera outdoors it would rust, especially in FL. Look forward to more excellent reviews!
Thank you. I appreciate it. There are plenty of cameras that have industrial grade housings that are much better than plastic & wont rust. These brands just have people programmed to think this is the norm.
@@LloydJarvis The Eiot club card they provide is suppose to search for the best service near you. So, it could be AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile. We were going to put it on our Verizon plan but I think this is a better way to go.

I was always a bigger fan of Blow Pops. lol
Thanks so much for the great review George! Do you have a favorite outdoor wi-fi battery powered camera currently?
The Eufy S340 is my favorite.
Hi George - Thanks for the great review... One question - Does it only work during night (Darkness) with lights, or does the camera have IR as well ??
It has both color night vision and black & white IR options.

What if I currently live in Italy? I’m active military but stationed in Italy and we don’t have any of those cellphone companies.

You’re not going to find a good solar/battery camera that records 24/7 I’m afraid. It would drain the battery too quickly.

@@GeorgeLangabeer any tips for always on display for cctv. I’d like to use HomeKit but no support and there echo show.
You’d need a wired NVR system hooked up to a TV or monitor….for it to be reliable anyway.
@@GeorgeLangabeer ok I I’ve seen echo show with eufy camera work
Like I said, for it to be reliable…the smart display options are not reliable, especially with multiple cameras.

George Langabeer very neat Security camera and i like that it can do 4G as well very nice.
Yeah, the 4G is a great option. 👍🏻
When will eufy come out with the 4g external antenna for the s330 4g it has the port for one'
Do you know any hidden camera operated with batteries and can use eşim?

Hi, what is Your favorite wired wi-fi camera ?
Thanks for great video's
If you’re talking outdoors, sadly there’s not too many great options. But if I was to choose one, Google Nest has the best setup for being wired.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Thanks, yes it was for outdoor.
What if I'm thinking solar/battery ?
The Eufy SoloCam S340 is my favorite Solar Camera.
Pls could you comment on what is the current best wired security camera you would recommend ?
As in a wired NVR system? Or a wired WiFi camera?

A lot of people in the Apple home space for cameras don’t like eufy because of security reasons. I wonder if anything has changed.
Those issues were nearly two years ago & have been solved.
Does Eufy have an outdoor security camera that you doesn't require the solar panel? -Thanks
This camera is a battery camera. It doesn’t require the solar panel.
What do you think about UniFi cameras?
They are fine, but highly overrated and some models are not worth the price (in my opinion)…I’m sure I’ll anger a few Unifi snobs with that opinion. 😋
Do i understand the pricing correctly.. . 360 days for $ 30 if we feel 2 gig is sufficient
I love Eufy!
Me too!
Does it need the homebase 3 for it to work
No, it does not.
Would you use it for the exterior
Yes, it’s an outdoor camera.
Do you pay a monthly subscription for the cellular?
No, you renew it whenever you’re close to being out of data.
@@GeorgeLangabeer But you can use your own Sim card of your own plan right? AT&T
