Nice review Daz. At the first hotel, you did not pan down to see if the shower was a shower or a tub/shower combo. Being an old guy, I try to avoid the hotels that have a tub/shower combo due to the increased fall hazard in slippery tile Thai bathrooms. Other than that omission, I can't think of any other unanswered questions.

Great comment. I hate that also. Hotels and apartments need to stop doing that in 2022. Just rip the bath out. Only need a shower.
The hotels will say though that women with babies/ single mothers etc need to have a bath, maybe that's a point, just keep the bath and shower separate.

Although I'm no longer a regular on Soi 6, I stayed at the Blue Sky for two weeks in January of 2019 - the room was fine but if you were a late riser it was impossible to sleep in at that time - if the noisy "koo-ow" birds in the adjacent trees didn't wake you at daybreak, nearby heavy construction would finish the job after 0800. I imagine the construction is done by now but the birds are probably still hanging around. I never did eat there or use the pool.

You can take Soi 6 gals back to the hotel for ST though. The girls usually want a bit of extra money though, extra 500 baht or so. The hotels don't care if they are girl friendly hotels. That 1000+300 is still the going rate, as of early November 2022, but I only know about the Beach Rd end of Soi 6. The bars further up toward Second Rd may be charging more. I haven't been to the middle and second road end since 2019.

Sorry just new here but what’s on Soi 6 ? Is that the main area of Pattaya to go to ?

@@zacghent8564 it has a lot of bars. the girls are ( mostly) very friendly, but it's mostly an ST ( short time) area. A lot of the bars have rooms and bathroom/shower upstairs. Not everyone's cup of tea. Some of the girls there are happy to go LT also, bit the fee can be a bit hefty.

Soi 6/1 is just a dingy lane way that runs parallel to the main Soi 6. It is known for ladyboys. Soi 6 also has a few LB s but it's mostly ladies.
