It’s sort of amazing that Breguet doesn’t get more love, given their historical significance. I really like the look of this watch, especially once I saw the dial up close. The date window is a bit awkward but I don’t mind it too much and it wouldn’t put me off buying the watch if I was in the market for one. Breguet needs to step up their marketing because only enthusiasts have heard of them.
I’m aware of Breguet’s history with the Type XX watch, and with their previous versions. This 2057 is for me a very appealing fresh take on this, both due to the dial and case design, and the new movement.
I really like the idea of a discreet friction bezel like this on any watch. Barely noticeable on a daily basis but is there if you need to track something. Sole bad thing about this watch is the date window - well done, badly placed.
Bought the Type 20 military on impulse and then regretted buying it! Discovered the bezel was off-centre and not aligned with 12 o'clock, an annoying noise coming from the I think the rotor, leather on strap coming undone across the spring bar area! Overall quality and and finish for a 20k watch is shockingly poor! Btw, I sent my watch in to Breguet and received dreadful service from. I'll be selling my Breguet and never go near the brand! Be warned!
The date is offensive! I had my credit card out the moment i saw it. And shoved it right back in my wallet when I saw the stupid date. That watch doesn’t need a date. Shouldn’t have a date. And if it did, it certainly shouldn’t be there!!! Sigh. I will wait for them to come out with a version without the date. Oh. And the original type XX was 38.5mm. The one war pilots flew with. So don’t tell me that we need a giant 42mm version. We need to respect the history and keep it under 40mm.
What do you think of the Breguet Type 20 2057? How does it stand up to an IWC Pilot Chronograph and Breitling Navitimer?

They are part of swatch group so they should have the resources. I hope swatch invests more in Breguet in the coming years

Absolutely love this watch, I wish the date was more refined.
Nice video mate 🥃
Thank you!

Dont know why but i love it, despite the date placement
That date is squashed there like it was an after thought, yikes!!!!

That execution of the date is horrible, especially with the Swiss Made lettering beneath it. They messed this one up.
the date window ruins the watch
No the original and the last model were both 39mm they should have kept it that size
Interesting that you didn't mention the date window at all. This is extremely annoying and doesn't actually make any model truly vintage.
