Holy shit this guy is smart. This whole time I thought SHEIN was just some sweat factory shop that my sister like to buy from. This guy completely shifted my mind about supply chains, fashion, and business. Much respect.
This Donald Tang, OMG, did the host find out how much he lost and took away investors money when he former Hollywood media company. Anyone did due diligence of his past. Tons of public records, search for affidavits. Good lord 🤯🤦♀️
love or hate shein, you really can't deny their rise to business stardom. very valuable listening to one of their most public executives on how they achieved it.
Gist of Donald Tang's Wisdom: Don't dwell on the past, keep making decisions, be nice to the people around you, stay focused and stay happy (both are first things first choices), choose purpose > happiness, admit your weaknesses, and use you time and money as tools not resources. Keep on doing things. Thats it. It's all love.
Tang was about to share something on why consumer electronics (and other non apparel categories) left a learning and he couldn't finish the thought... missed to capture his learning there
@@arzuvialde exactly! This could have been a great interview! He missed out on a lot of great questions and insights on what it takes, why, and how? I think the host needs to find out the why behind this channel. Said it before, and I’ll say it again, it seems too generic.
As I’m sitting at the sewing machine altering my SHEIN jeans bc 1. I’m broke and all I can afford for now 2. Why send them all the way back. 3. I actually enjoy it and feel a connection to those who worked so hard on them to begin with
Unpopular opinion given the comments: I find it annoying that Donald never answer any question directly and instead just regurgitate business nonsense and sound bytes. I learned nothing from this interview.
@alterego157 haha I laughed. Never heard so much bs. It's a sweatshop and they want public capital and exits. If you think there's a way to get goods cheaper you forget how many below minimum wage workers there are
@@marcusandatlas844 Actually you’re 100% it’s annoying that he didn’t capture real questions and divulge deeper in the interview. Waste of great interviewee!
After watching this for 2 mins I see why this channel ratios to subscriber are extremely low. This guy interviewing style is like a cheap buffet. Nothing authentic, questions and dialogues are all over the place, and doesn’t go deep. Viewers want to know the thought process and mindset of a dishwasher becoming a multimillionaire by building a large empire. What a waste of guest. This could have been a great interview. The host should watch guys like Patrick Bet David, Joe Rogan and Theo Von, get some pointers.
@@20VC Nah I wouldn’t say all that but why didn’t you listen to what he was saying? Aren’t you curious of what made someone at that success caliber tick? I don’t know.. interview seems too generic. Then again, entrepreneurs and businesses might not be your interest and you’re just doing this as part of the social trend 🤷🏼♂️

Well it is very cheap
i see stolen designs from lowkey artists and brands constantly
@@howardh6857what's wrong with cheap?
He is also better dressed than the interviewer.

"it doesn't rhyme very well. It just doesn't make sense." This guy is a classy speaker, sometimes poetic. Great interview.

Money helped them to do that.

I know I'm going to love this episode! Thanks so much for getting such a great guest Harry
One of the top 3 modern consumer business thinkers alive. Amazing.
Really enjoyed this conversation. Keep bringing that heat guys.
Awesome interview. Big ups to the chairman for interacting with the public like this 👍🏾

GOLD! Luck comes but may never come if you didn't work hard. Your luck is directly proportionate to your hardwork. Shein Boss!
Donald Tang is on a another level of ecom genius
Nice interview. Love it 😊
Awesome episode, Harry!
The guests truly are top notch!
Harry could you maybe get Pedro Arnt here? Ex Mercadolibre CFO, current CEO od dLocal.
First time here on this channel. I loved this interview. I learned a lot from this interview.

What a fantastic interview Harry...

I enjoyed this interview very much..... I learnt alot. Thank you for sharing
Wow. Very insightful discussion from Donald Tang. Amazing episode.
One of the best interviews I have ever watched.
This guys way of operations is giving bezos vibes which is great
These are inspiring stories!!
Was it Newport Seafood or Trieu Chau Restaurant that he worked at in Santa Ana, Ca?
I can’t get over the impact on the environment. It’s not all just about money.
Nice Video!
This man is an alien . I learnt nothing about the business
😂😂😂
a very wise man
Amazing. Reminds me of Joe Tsai of Alibaba.
How do I buy stock in Shein?
Omg I so love this guy.
I love Shein ✨

I agree, maybe he's good at business but not very good at communicating how he does business.
Yeah...
"Why do you want to IPO?"
- "Because transparency"
I believe you bro. I knew you were driven by desire for more transparency 🤣

You don't have the level of his mind. Others understand. 😊
Отличная связка, как всегда.
Would you agree that you are viewed as the low-cost provider? NO, WE SELL DREAMS!
Very good CEO speak in general. I'm sure none of the stake holders will be upset with this interview.
very annoying to see the clothes of the host, very unprofessional and disrespectful towards the guest ironically a clothing company.
This man is FUNNY!!!! 😂
LFG SHEIN
Some customers are receiving scipoions and dead cocorochs 😮

Hate his company but respecting the business mind. Why not using it for something positive in the world?
But you love Amazon right?
Transparency is a required .... excuse me! He must be joking. Is he aware he works for SheIn
I think he can afford a better suit
He bought it on SHEIN 😂
This setup is bad. The table is too low and you have to bend down when talking which looks pretty bad.
