Curse of the Moon is a really good ClassicVania, Ritual of the Night is a freaking amazing Metroidvania. : )

Castlevania was one of the franchise popular for its music; why is it a surprise? It's a testament to a time when videogame music were VIDEOGAME music and not trying to be some epic forgettable orchestral that blends into the background.
This sounds like the intro theme to a late 80s/early 90s TV show. Like, I can literally envision the cast members' names and faces being shown while this song plays.
I'll be honest, my least favorite thing about this game is Wind's quests. They were vague in terms of objective and sometimes cryptic with requirements. But what made them worth it was getting to hear Invitation of a Crazed Moon every time I went back. I love this piece so much.
For those saying this could be a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure opening. Fun fact in POR while playing as Jonathan if you held up on the d-pad long enough Jonathan would do one of Jonathan Joestar's poses.

I love you Charlotte Aulin. :] I consider this her track, because she's all I played as. Jonathan's track I consider to be Victorian Fear, the first painting world track. Jonathan was actually really cool. He had awesome animations, the weapons were tight and top notch, the skill tree was super fun, and he looked like a badass. But... Charlotte.
If anyone here played Yakuza, I can imagine Jonathan dancing in the disco with this in the background. And yes, I am including the Kiryu kneel-and-point pose.

The start song of the first Castlevania that I play. The concept of a castle with terrorific monsters comander for the most famous vampire create the prejudice that it is a terror game. But it's lively and energetic music erase the fear.
