Juste is mad overlooked. Grandson of Simon Belmont. Grandfather of Richter Belmont. Got his own castlevania adventure despite not being alive during a typical dracula resurrection every century. His theme song is literally "successor of fate"

@@nickramos5614 Leon fought Walter Bernhard and Death with little to no former training and experience with hunting the night because he’s the pioneer of that tradition.
Juste fought all kinds of things and was so powerful he always had the vampire killer at full power. He’s also one of the if not the only Belmont to take on the threat of Dracula even though it wasn’t supposed to happen during his lifetime.
Cant put my finger on it but for some reason, try as I might, I just could never get into HoD like I did the other Igavanias.

@@lightningandodinify I’d prefer a full remake. They need to figure out castlevania in 3D. As much as my rose tinted glasses help me on enjoying the game, I know if it wasn’t castlevania I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it.
@@LeUberTroll I definitely think it should be remade as well. I think the story is fine, but the combat certainly should accommodate modern spacing-based visceral action systems like the FromSoftware games, albeit with a greater display of superhuman prowess.

Simon's theme is the best, this soundtrack gives goosebumps and it sounds perfect for a vampire/monster game like Castlevania

The entire Super Castlevania 4 OST is front to back bangers.
All of the other themes feel like we're fighting Eldritch Abominations and waking horrors. Simon's theme feels like those things are fighting us.

I love Leon’s theme so much, the song says a whole lot with a single word/lyric spoken.
It sounds like a man who got in over his head to rescue the love of his life, not feeling strong enough to save her, and in the end having to make the ultimate sacrifice of losing his love to actually save her, and many many others from suffering the same fate as her, and taking all that pain from her loss to give him the power and strength the man needs to overcome the endless night, slay the very powerful ancient vampire who took his woman from him, and lastly overcome Death itself with hope, faith, courage, determination and heart.
Trevor’s theme basically tells you that the man praying at the holy cross is the successor/descendant of Leon the legendary vampire hunter, and he’s here to keep a promise to his ancestor and slay the man/vampire lord who cost his ancestor everything he cared about and continue to keep that promise through his family’s legacy going forward.
God give me strength, I must set out to hunt down and slay Count Dracula and save the countryside from his reign of terror.
Simon’s theme vampire killer is basically the continuation of the legendary rivalry between Belmont and Count Dracula, this time a new determined, courageous and strong Belmont walks into Dracula’s Castle by himself to confront Dracula with no fear in his heart.
Bloody Tears is basically Simon exploring the countryside and battling all of Dracula’s minions who still linger around and wishing to try to resurrect him, and while doing that, Simon also has to destroy the curse that Dracula put on him.
Simon’s Theme from SC IV is basically praising the great legend that is Simon Belmont, one of the greatest Belmonts and Vampire Killers in history, and that legend will live on to be respected by humanity and feared by demons, vampires and all other types of creatures who cause evil.

Julius is heart of fire.
A man realizing his true purpose and strength, charging into the heart of darkness and defeating it head on.
In Julius’ case, he reclaimed his memories once he found the Vampire Killer whip and knew he was the one who ended the 1000 year reign of terror, he knows now that great evil has returned and now has to make sure he has enough power left to vanquish it for good, and by his judgment of Soma, hopes that the new friend he made, can find his inner strength and fight the darkness himself, because if he can’t or won’t, Julius will be there.
I feel the same when listening to the themes of each Belmont. I love how you described the ones mentioned to a T. It really hit the nail on the head about them. But what I love about the games is how you learn not just about the characters or getting to know them but you learn something very profound and deep from them. What do you think of Christopher, Juste and Richter's themes?
@@MotherNature101 Richter’s theme gives off the feeling of him being proud of who he is and marches to Dracula’s Castle with great pride as he battles through the Count’s horde of dark evil creatures in order to save the woman he loves.
Juste’s theme gives of the feeling of him knowing that he is the next Successor of good, and it is his fate to go out and hunt down demonic evil creatures, & with his courage he sets out with his friend Maxim to find out what attacked him, kidnapped their childhood friend Lydie and made Maxim lose his memory.
Christopher’s theme gives off the feeling of him having great courage and venturing to Count Dracula’s Castle to confront him, he does know he is related to the ancestor who has battled Dracula before & slayed him, only he doesn’t make it the source of his identity, in fact he doesn’t want to shout it from the rooftops to let the world know.
Soleyu Belmont the son of Christopher uses New Messiah as his theme in my opinion, and it makes me feel like he knows who he is related too, and knows of his ancestor’s great history, along with his father’s achievements, and that makes him embrace who he is, and even though he isn’t ready to be the next Belmont because of his ego, he still accepts his fate and believes that he is ready to surpass his own father and resurrect Count Dracula so he can slay the count himself thinking he is ready to do so, when in reality he is far from being ready.
@jerrym1218 Nice description of them. The Belmonts are interesting, and they take their job seriously. But each of them have been through something regarding them and the era they were in. But they always kick ass and take names every time, even if it isn't the big bad bad Dracula. They know evil comes in many forms, and they are not fooled. I love them so much in my favorite series to play, and it always have replay value. 😄
Christopher the most underrated in theme, lore and game.
Its one of the best pieces of music on the gb.... but the game is crap. Especially compared to Belmont's revenge

@@theyuki-fay-multiverse9086 Julius is way younger, and besides Sorrow games have very different art styles (Ayami Kojima or generic animu?) Kojima's art is hard to convey in a 8-16bit rendition of the series and I know I wouldn't want the other one in a Castlevania game anymore. Art looks closer to Castlevania III which the game takes big influence from (older NES rather than PSX and beyond era.)

It's SO difficult to pick a favorite from all these great games, but if I'd have to choose it would be Richter's Theme. - It's just so energetic and has all of these subtleties .
However, looking more generally then Bloody Tears, Vampire Killer, Wicked Child as well as Beginning are also masterpieces!
Heck! Most pieces of Castlevania music are masterpieces.... eargasm!

Leon's theme has a beautiful incorporation of Dracula's theme from Castlevania IV and I love it.
Julius's theme reminds me a lot of Zero's theme from Mega Man X
Groovy beats and heavy guitar have always been the heart of Castlevania music for me. The game's story is a very serious subject, but the contrast between it and the music is part of what makes it so unique and unforgettable as a franchise. I could whip monsters and vampires to these bangers for all eternity.

Special mention for Christopher his feels underrated
I barely can put on words how I feel the first time I fought Julius, I mean, wasn't the first time that the player fights a Belmont, but being the reincarnation of Dracula and a young boy who wouldn't stand a chance if it wasn't for his dark powers, epic!
When Julius used the Grand Cross and there's a build-up to the attack, and then he finally unleashed it destroying parts of the castle in the background, I knew shit just got real. I remember that in my head I was thinking "I'm outmatched, what the hell am I gonna do?!"
Julius is a monster man

Imo lament of innocence was a pretty decent castlevania game but I think symphony of the night was the best castlevania game, I also think Julius was the best belmont but I respect your opinion, leon is pretty cool after all he did start this cycle

@@alonsomunoz4096 Lament es definitivamente el que mejor AMBIENTACIÓN TÉTRICA tiene. Casi ningún Castlevania tiene ese toque hasta casi de terror como Lament sí, y por eso me encanta mucho el juego. Jugarlo de madrugada con las luces apagadas a mis 11 años fue de las mejores experiencias que tuve, especialmente el subterráneo del Templo, el segundo piso de los Jardines y del Teatro, miedo y suspenso al Mil!!!

I don't know why but for some reason Leon's theme is always in my head. Ever since I have played Lament of the innocence . It comes to my mind all the time I'm gaming it doesn't even matter what game I'm playing . Or if I'm by myself and I've played Castlevania 1 and 2 Simon's quest . I think about it even more than Blood tears And that is the most famous Castlevania song ever

Not sure why you didn't go with the Curse of Darkness theme for Trevor; It's one of the sweetest boss battle tunes ever.
Love Leon's though, and his game - both the PS2 games tragically undersold despite being highly reviewed. You can feel the emotion behind LoI though.
Because that would be Trevor's second theme, and actually, most Castlevania characters have also like a second theme (example: Alucard with Tragic Prince, Soma with The Pinnacle in Dawn, etc) witch most of the time is the top floor stage and is supposed to be the second most epic memorable theme of the game.

I'll never forget the SFC version where, when you fight Dracula and reduces his HP to 1/3... the entire thing pauses and the background music shifts from something sinister to Simon's theme which was the very first theme of the game...Oh the feels.
Every one of these is epic enough on its own right though.

Ironic that Leon's theme occurs at the very ending of his battle against Walter, while all of his descendants' themes occurs at the beginning of their battle against Mathias/Dracula. Except Julius Belmont, but considering his amnesia until 2035, that's understandable.

I always consider Vampire Killer Simon's actual theme the same way that the beginning is Trevor's theme even though Curse of Darkness introduces Trevor's theme

Interesting that the song of Simon the beginning sounds very similar to Buffy the vampire slayer intro, guess Joss Whedon is a fan of Castlevania, that explained the mash up between Blade the vampire slayer, and the clan Belmont.
Ojalá pudieras subir las escenes de cómo el castillo se derrumba al final de cada juego, ya fuera en orden del primer Castlevania lanzado hasta el más nuevo, o en orden cronológico. Esas secuencias siempre fueron épicas y muy icónicas.
