I love the long version build - it allows you to show us so many techniques that you would never have time to do normally (nor would you remember. to do so). Seeing these methods is SO IMPORTANT to those who do not have much experience. It serves to bring them along on their journey toward decent woodworking. Thanks and please keep it up.

Totally agree. I also love to watch your techniques. I don't mind watching a 40 minute video because I learn from your tutelage Jon.
      Thanks for the build.
      p.s.
That festool chop saw is a beast! It goes through the hardwood like it's butter. Can you tell us your blade details and tooth pattern please?

I like the rabbited drawer front. I have an extremely old cypress pie safe and the drawer front was made that way w square nails to secure it. And it’s still hasn’t flinched after almost 200 yrs.

I loved this. Reminds me of the "old days" when you could actually learn something on TH-cam instead of just being "influenced". Your wall-mounted console inspired me to make a similar unit for myself and there are definitely some ideas in this project that will find their way into future projects of my own.

Finally a woodworker that uses the correct amount of glue. If you have properly square and flat surfaces then a bead is all you need, not gallons of it smothered on every surface.

Guess I’ll add my 2 cents for whats that worth. But love the in-depth detailed vid! Any vid can be too long, at any time length of time, if the info is not being relayed in a way that is concise and to the point. But yer teaching format really clicks with me. I’ve been binge watching yer vids lately and learning a ton. Building yer Japanese influenced bench now, with some minor tweaks. And decided I’m gonna build this after. Really appreciate it all!!
