@Solid Snake I would have to strongly disagree. Maybe it's because of what I stated before of having the difference of all of the visual and audio enhancements. Not only am I enjoying rewatching it, but I'm actually excited before each episode. I don't mean to sound like an audio/visual snob, but I'm actually amazed at the difference of what I'm seeing and hearing. It offers more entertainment value that I would have expected. It interesting to watch it again and certain things more sense the second time around. Again, I'm fortunate to have a very cool setup to watch it in and I would highly recommend it to anyone for the first time or to purchase for a rewatch after upgrading your home theatre system. Just for reference and comparison, I absolutely love any movie about aviation and I'm a huge Top Gun fan. I purchased and watched the 4k since I hadn't seen it in several years (early nineties) and I got nothing out of a movie that involved something that I'm passionate about. Maybe I watched it so many times before had something to do with it. GoT immediately captured me and I could not turn away as if I'm watching it for the first time again. This has made me more interested to check others watching it for the second time to see reactions. OK, I'm an A/V nerd geeking out and I'm done with my rant!

This is actually one of the rare occurrences where the ending is SO BAD that the majority of the fans actually try not even to think about it anymore. Ive never seen a trend die so freaking fast. Far from great, sadly.
No matter what everyone thinks about the finale & final season, Game Of Thrones will always & forever be one of my favorite shows of all time until I die, until my very last days on Earth, and until the end of the world
I'm sure I'll get this at some point when the memory of Season 8 has faded enough for me to attempt watching it again -- that's going to be a LONG while from now though. If it pops up during a Black Friday or Prime Day for 80 bucks at some point, maybe.
Great review and absolutely spot on! I first watched GoT on HBO with my current setup, LG OLED and full Dolby Atmos 11.1. Even though it was without the current enhancements, I still loved the series. After purchasing season 1 on 4K blu-ray, I was wondering if it would offer the same replay value. It has exceeded my expectations by far between Dolby Vison, HDR and Dolby Atmos. I find myself listening to the theme song at times instead of skipping it! This TH-cam channel is good about providing spoiler free reviews and I just wrote this after replying to someone who hadn't watched GoT. I watch these reviews at times normally prior to a purchase or to see others opinions after I've watched a movie/series. Nice to see Films At Home provide quality content as usual. My entire series arrives later today and I am stoked to experience it again. I hope you all enjoy it for the first or second time around!

I got mine yesterday and then got home and saw that the outer steel case was damaged so I had to return it and luckily they had one more that was undamaged, unfortunately the digital code only redeems HD which would have been nice if that was listed somewhere before purchase.
Years I've waited for this release. I refrained from binging the show because I want a supreme box set like this... can't wait for s first time experience with game of thrones

Oh man, thanks for the reminder! I picked up Season 8 on 4k and only watched one episode and decided I NEEDED to have the whole series in 4k. I stopped watching in anticipation for the box set and I can't wait to do a full run through.
It's actually upscaled 4K nothing new if you have a high-end player like an OPPO or Panasonic's top of line. Well Dolby Vision but that's not the intended colour depth for the show as it was aired in SDR not HDR.
I bought the Blu-ray Collectors edition for the 1080p in May not knowing about this 4k set. Ended up buying the box set 4k too so now I have 2 sets. The design and box of the 1080p one is beautiful though.

I would absolutely understand that the 4K version of the series would look a lot better than HBO GO, but the problem is I already got the limited collector's edition on Blu Ray for $250. Im still unsure about spending $200 again for the only upgrades are the higher bitrate, and the HDR as the Blu Ray discs already has Dolby Atmos. Plus I really didn't like how the show ended
Yeah, I heard a lot (not most) people bi*ched about the ending. However, the 4k version is worth it, for me, IF the price is severely dropped. If you have a good TV, you will get to see all the things you couldn't see via Rec.709 color space.
@@AscendedSaiyan3 it's all upscaled 4K content the rendering of CG down to the filming is all mastered below 4K so what the intended output is closer to Blu-ray quality even the SDR is the intended output that matches the Original broadcast vision.
@@Tidbitkid Resolution and color space are two very different things. The bigger leap in PQ, this generation, is in HDR and color space (Rec. 2020 vs. Rec. 709). The difference between 2k and 4k is smaller.

Been buying these on blu ray since the show has been airing and picked up season 8 on 4K ..wouldn’t mind this, but can’t justify the $200 upgrade, great review.

The Blu-ray of the first 3 films are early Blu-ray/HD-DVD released encodings and mastering. So the UHD set even though the first 4 films out of 5 are upscaled 4K discs the mastering is modern vs early early Blu-ray mastering.
I've watched the series on previously on HBO and it's amazing. I'm watching season one on 4K blu-ray and the replay value is off the charts . Just a bit of advice; I'd probably stop watching review videos if I were you. This is such an incredible series/experience that it's not worth taking a chance on any spoilers from possible reviewers and/or comments section.
@@BradShaw1690 I agree with you Brad The Walking Dead and it's spin-off series Fear of the Walking Dead will never have a 4K release. I don't mind the slight gritiness in the Blu-Ray's picture quality. It fits with the atmosphere of show.

Correct it's upscaled 4K not native so the tangability factor of this release to upgrade is very low other the Dolby Vision HDR which the show run has an intended SDR airing. Better off using the money to invest in a high-end player that does awesome SDR to HDR conversions and Upscaling.
@@Tidbitkid I've got a Panasonic 820 and an lg oled so I'm fine for upscaling. I owned season 1&8 on 4k but also had the 1-8 Blu-ray box set I compared them I couldn't really tell any difference
I got lucky and scored the BluRay set during the recent Amazon Prime days for under $100 (CDN) ! I was totally stunned by the quality of the image ! I honestly can’t imagine it looking much better on 4K. I have about 100 4K discs and 800 or so BluRays which I mention because I don’t want you all thinking I don’t know WTF I’m talking about LOL. The picture is fantastic on both LED and OLED. The BluRay set also includes the Dolby Atmos tracks and the digital codes. It also has an option to enable an in episode guide. The guide lets you see bios of the characters who are on screen as well as details on the location and history pertinent to the episode. I thought this would be gimmicky but it’s surprisingly well executed. If anyone has access to both the 4K and the BluRay, I’d love to know if you think the upgrade to 4K is worth it. (in which case my BluRay set will end up under the Christmas Tree for someone else !)

Agreed. The 4K edition do not bring much to the table in terms of upgrades compared to regular blu-ray. It's uspscaled 4K. I heard the HDR alone is worth it and most scenes which looked kinda dark on blu ray definitely benefit from it. I also wanna buy the set cause I've never watched a single episode but obviously the show is a cultural phenomenon and I want the best pictures quality since I can play 4k Blu-rays on my PS5.
Thanks for this comment. I also bought the complete series special packaging set back when it originally came out on blu ray. At the time it was about $230. So that's obviously not something I would want to purchase again in 4k if the upgrade is minimal. If the picture quality is almost as good as the 4k and it has atmos I'll stick with my blu ray set
I purchased the GAME OF THRONES 4k STEELBOOK/CASE. I don’t think I need to put down another $200 on the same thing. I believe the steelbooks are just the same disks from that collection but in steelbook and case.
You care more about the packaging that the content of the disk.... I own the blu rays and the first season in 4k. There is absolutely no comparison in video or audio. I can tell you now that when I'm watching the show I am not watching the packaging, I am watching the picture quality and clarity and enjoying the audio quality. 5.1 blu ray vs atmos audio. No contest. 4k hdr. 1080p sdr...
Jeff ... I went to purchase this box set in Michigan at Best Buy today and I was able to get one, but I had to ask for it. My concern was as I rushed back to the 4k and blu-ray section, to my amazement, I found 7 rows of EMPTY shelves! I asked what was going on and was informed that Best Buy was going to "online" sales only and that their stores are going to stop selling them on site in their stores. As a collector this is bad news. I was told that this was not just their store, others are doing the same thing. Would be interested in your thoughts. Love your channel.
Just finished watching the entire 4K GOT Boxed Set. I have a defective Season Six, Disk #3 which won't even boot to the menu. How do you get a replacement disk from Warner Brothers?

Compare season 8 blu-ray screenshot to this 4k. It surely wasn't that bad as original episode stream on TV that premiere night. There's no point comparing those shots of long night episode to old tv stream capture. What's the difference between blu-ray release?
I love going back to tv shows every few years and rewatch my favorites. I enjoyed game of thrones, the ending didnt bother me. Thing is, a lot of the BEST moments in game of thrones are based around betrayal, shocking reveals, or unexpected sudden deaths. I feel like i "personally" will have trouble watching it knowing all those moments before they come. 5-10 years from now when i've forgotten most of that stuff maybe.
When it comes to Season 8, the show was already letting me down a bunch, and I expected it wasn't going to be great. So I more or less just appreciated 8 on a technical level, and it's bloody marvelous. I think I will buy this eventually. GOT has more good than bad overall, and I can at least sit back and enjoy the visual and audible experience of season 8

Why didnt you compare bluray vs 4k bluray, atmos is also available on bluray , and did they fix the great battle in season 8 because i got it last year on 4k bluray and it was disappointing
I already own the steel books of the entire series (In the UK) where the series 8 was 4k and the others HD, I do not think it is worth buying yet another copy; However, as was stated if you have only ever seen it on TV via streaming (or 720p via sat) then I would jump at getting this.

No. It's upscaled 4K every season. Invest if you haven't in a high-end UHD Disc player like Panasonic's or if your a Craigslist hunter an OPPO 203/205 but the Panny top of the line is better. The upscaling and SDR to HDR converter features really bring new viewing experience on existing content you own already and into the future.

I want to get this, I really do. I've only been able to find the collection on Best Buy and Amazon though, and both share the same negative reviews. There's a ton of reviews out there complaining about the DVDs not being supported in their region (mainly the US) or it just not actually being in 4k format.

For those of you that pre-ordered the steelbook collection if you're expecting a 4k digital code you'll be sorely disappointed! I already owned all eight seasons on VUDU in HD I only bought it mainly to get the code thinking it would redeem in 4k somewhere whether it be movies anywhere or voodoo and it doesn't it just gave me two sets of eight seasons in HD now ugh! If I had known the digital code didn't redeem in 4k I wouldn't have bought it. I mean having them in 4k and Atmos on physical media is fine but most of my media is digital and I don't want to have to go update a new 4K player just to watch game of thrones on physical disc now.
Ive seen multiple Amazon reviews of this box set that say there is a disc that has Seinfeld episodes instead of GoT episodes. Any truth to this? I've also read that there was a season that was missing episodes. Any way you can confirm or deny this before I make this $250 purchase?
I guess, like the other 4K sets, this will be missing the preview of the episodes option? I always like watching a preview of the next episode after watching an episode and they have left it off all 4K sets.
Watched your review and now own two sets of game of thrones but the difference is astronomical. The Blu-ray I purchased a while ago literally looked like the broadcast which I got over 1080i satellite, but this 4K I feel like they're filming in my room, grainless, bright, excellent black contrast so I can see the details in the dark finally, And there's a lot of dark scenes in GOT. Can hardly wait to watch it again and catch the long night episode I just don't want to spoil it and go straight to that episode for a test with the X900H. I just know it'll be worth the wait going through the series again it'll be like the first time!
If the end didn’t crush my heart I would shell out the money for this. The first 6 seasons are the best TV ever in my opinion, but it’s soured knowing where it leads. But that’s just me
@@cobain2261 yeah, it was going down hill for awhile, but I think it was still salvageable even through season 7 as long as they finished strong, which is the opposite of what happened; season 8 is just about entirely irredeemable. Maybe the first two episodes S8 could be made to be viable, but from third episode on out it is arguably the biggest fail in TV history.
Just watched this now. That one looks horrible compared to the one we got in Australia. The colour of the border is horrible and each disc case being all black.
Watching GAME OF THRONES (season 1) in 4K on my 32" Samsung monitor is breathtaking. The sound is crystal clear on the headphone, you hear every detail and you see every detail. It makes you appreciate the art of film making, how the sound moves, the nuances. It is mesmerizing. Upscale 4K is not the same.
Pro-tip this is a upscaled 4k release so if you own the Blu-rays your not missing much especially if you have a great player that does upscaling or a tv that does it well.
Digital does are region locked in Canada!! It even says on the back of the box set “THIS COPYRIGHTED PRODUCT IS AUTHORIZED FOR SALE OR RENTAL FOR PRIVATE HOME USE IN THE USA AND CANADA ONLY. DIGITAL CODE OFFER TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Code subject to expiration by 12/31/2022. Consumer must be age of consent, reside in the USA or Canada and register for a digital service provider account” Most times when a digital code doesn’t work or is region locked I email the manufacturer and they send new codes but Warner Bros said “The digital code included with this box set is for purchases in U.S. only and not available in Canada. Therefore, we are not able to provide you with a code.” Fairly upset to be honest! Buyer’s beware! When I’m down in the USA next month I will try to redeem them but not getting my hopes up
The last battle in season 8 against the dead was ridiculous. All the history they used on prior battles got thrown out the window on this. It still was good, but after how much effort they put into the battle of the bastards, then this battle with everyone outside the castle walls fighting an enemy that doesn't stop and with arrows made out of the shards, yet barely use them. Overall I enjoyed the entire show, all 8 seasons.
I somewhat agree. But remember, they only had several days to prepare before the dead arrived. Winterfell is a small castle, they couldn't keep everyone inside. The Unsullied and Dothraki were to keep the dead back as much as they could until the Night King arrived. So Dany and Jon could fight and kill him. Could have been better, but was decent.
I'm still waiting for Xena warrior princess to get blu-ray release. But I'd love bones, eureka, warehouse 13 though the special effects won't be worth the upgrade

Hey I got a question I just bought a oled TV and the atmos sound bar its the LG SN9YG 5.1.2 by meridian the demo i heard was amazing and I know its not a real surround sound to some people but my movie room is just for me and not huge so for a 15x15 room it should be good right? I haven't opened it yet ive been waiting and debating if I should keep it or not.. please help me out or make a video on atmos surround sound and what is good and what to stay away from.. also before people here say a sound bar for a surround sound system well yeah I dont need the crazy stuff and its a $1k sound bar so its not junk.. Should seek audioholics on TH-cam for better audio questions and information. Most soundbars that are modern will have a calibration microphone to give better DSP to mimic Atmos like sound but most things are better then tv speakers.

So excited to get this. I skipped getting 300 , beetlejuice, and the goonies on 4K, so I could save and get the steel book collection.
I bought the Blu-ray Collectors edition for the 1080p in May not knowing about this 4k set. Ended up buying the box set 4k too so now I have 2 sets. The design and box of the 1080p one is beautiful though.

WOW! I love GOT . Yeah the 8th season was rushed but still an amazing show!!!! I'm dropping the $200 for my home theater - ooooohhhhh yeah!
I would absolutely understand that the 4K version of the series would look a lot better than HBO GO, but the problem is I already got the limited collector's edition on Blu Ray for $250. Im still unsure about spending $200 again for the only upgrades are the higher bitrate, and the HDR as the Blu Ray discs already has Dolby Atmos. Plus I really didn't like how the show ended
Yeah, I heard a lot (not most) people bi*ched about the ending. However, the 4k version is worth it, for me, IF the price is severely dropped. If you have a good TV, you will get to see all the things you couldn't see via Rec.709 color space.
@@AscendedSaiyan3 it's all upscaled 4K content the rendering of CG down to the filming is all mastered below 4K so what the intended output is closer to Blu-ray quality even the SDR is the intended output that matches the Original broadcast vision.
@@Tidbitkid Resolution and color space are two very different things. The bigger leap in PQ, this generation, is in HDR and color space (Rec. 2020 vs. Rec. 709). The difference between 2k and 4k is smaller.

@@Tidbitkid some is in native 4k near the end of the series starting around 6/7 actually. They used a 6k dragon elite camera.
Its technically 3.2 k for the first few seasons but still an upgrade from 1080p.
Hopefully they bring out a box without the last two seasons.

Been buying these on blu ray since the show has been airing and picked up season 8 on 4K ..wouldn’t mind this, but can’t justify the $200 upgrade, great review.

The Blu-ray of the first 3 films are early Blu-ray/HD-DVD released encodings and mastering. So the UHD set even though the first 4 films out of 5 are upscaled 4K discs the mastering is modern vs early early Blu-ray mastering.
I have never seen Game of Thrones, can't wait to see it in 4k.
I've watched the series on previously on HBO and it's amazing. I'm watching season one on 4K blu-ray and the replay value is off the charts . Just a bit of advice; I'd probably stop watching review videos if I were you. This is such an incredible series/experience that it's not worth taking a chance on any spoilers from possible reviewers and/or comments section.

Correct it's upscaled 4K not native so the tangability factor of this release to upgrade is very low other the Dolby Vision HDR which the show run has an intended SDR airing. Better off using the money to invest in a high-end player that does awesome SDR to HDR conversions and Upscaling.
@@Tidbitkid I've got a Panasonic 820 and an lg oled so I'm fine for upscaling. I owned season 1&8 on 4k but also had the 1-8 Blu-ray box set I compared them I couldn't really tell any difference
I'd really like to buy this but after the last season and especially episode I just can't.
I got lucky and scored the BluRay set during the recent Amazon Prime days for under $100 (CDN) ! I was totally stunned by the quality of the image ! I honestly can’t imagine it looking much better on 4K. I have about 100 4K discs and 800 or so BluRays which I mention because I don’t want you all thinking I don’t know WTF I’m talking about LOL. The picture is fantastic on both LED and OLED. The BluRay set also includes the Dolby Atmos tracks and the digital codes. It also has an option to enable an in episode guide. The guide lets you see bios of the characters who are on screen as well as details on the location and history pertinent to the episode. I thought this would be gimmicky but it’s surprisingly well executed. If anyone has access to both the 4K and the BluRay, I’d love to know if you think the upgrade to 4K is worth it. (in which case my BluRay set will end up under the Christmas Tree for someone else !)

Agreed. The 4K edition do not bring much to the table in terms of upgrades compared to regular blu-ray. It's uspscaled 4K. I have all eight seasons on blu-ray, and probably will not upgrade it to 4K:

I heard the HDR alone is worth it and most scenes which looked kinda dark on blu ray definitely benefit from it. I also wanna buy the set cause I've never watched a single episode but obviously the show is a cultural phenomenon and I want the best pictures quality since I can play 4k Blu-rays on my PS5.
Thanks for this comment. I also bought the complete series special packaging set back when it originally came out on blu ray. At the time it was about $230. So that's obviously not something I would want to purchase again in 4k if the upgrade is minimal. If the picture quality is almost as good as the 4k and it has atmos I'll stick with my blu ray set

I own the blu rays and the first season in 4k. There is absolutely no comparison in video or audio. I can tell you now that when I'm watching the show I am not watching the packaging, I am watching the picture quality and clarity and enjoying the audio quality.

Jeff ... I went to purchase this box set in Michigan at Best Buy today and I was able to get one, but I had to ask for it. My concern was as I rushed back to the 4k and blu-ray section, to my amazement, I found 7 rows of EMPTY shelves! I asked what was going on and was informed that Best Buy was going to "online" sales only and that their stores are going to stop selling them on site in their stores. As a collector this is bad news. I was told that this was not just their store, others are doing the same thing. Would be interested in your thoughts. Love your channel.

Compare season 8 blu-ray screenshot to this 4k. It surely wasn't that bad as original episode stream on TV that premiere night. There's no point comparing those shots of long night episode to old tv stream capture. What's the difference between blu-ray release?
I love going back to tv shows every few years and rewatch my favorites. I enjoyed game of thrones, the ending didnt bother me. Thing is, a lot of the BEST moments in game of thrones are based around betrayal, shocking reveals, or unexpected sudden deaths. I feel like i "personally" will have trouble watching it knowing all those moments before they come.
5-10 years from now when i've forgotten most of that stuff maybe.
Won't be picking this up ,but Westworld S03 and Chernobyl are a must own for me.
IMO simply the best tv show of all time. Just make sure you watch in sequence.

When it comes to Season 8, the show was already letting me down a bunch, and I expected it wasn't going to be great.
So I more or less just appreciated 8 on a technical level, and it's bloody marvelous.
I think I will buy this eventually.
GOT has more good than bad overall, and I can at least sit back and enjoy the visual and audible experience of season 8

With the Bluray 4K version you’ll get HDR and Dolby Atmos. As long as you can take advantage of these features, you should totally go for it.

I already own the steel books of the entire series (In the UK) where the series 8 was 4k and the others HD, I do not think it is worth buying yet another copy; However, as was stated if you have only ever seen it on TV via streaming (or 720p via sat) then I would jump at getting this.

No. It's upscaled 4K every season. Invest if you haven't in a high-end UHD Disc player like Panasonic's or if your a Craigslist hunter an OPPO 203/205 but the Panny top of the line is better. The upscaling and SDR to HDR converter features really bring new viewing experience on existing content you own already and into the future.

Wow that screenshot is amazing. Am rewatching season 1 on hbo Max streaming 4k and dolby vision and its nice. Butt! A big butt haha I did notice a lot of pixelated shots in steaming on hbo max. Am big fan of physical media. I got to have this set. Physical media is eating up my bank account 😂 walmart has it on sale for 130 right now. Incase anybody is looking for this set.

I want to get this, I really do. I've only been able to find the collection on Best Buy and Amazon though, and both share the same negative reviews. There's a ton of reviews out there complaining about the DVDs not being supported in their region (mainly the US) or it just not actually being in 4k format.

GoT was mastered at 1080p. You are paying extra for an upscale and marketing BS.
For those of you that pre-ordered the steelbook collection if you're expecting a 4k digital code you'll be sorely disappointed! I already owned all eight seasons on VUDU in HD I only bought it mainly to get the code thinking it would redeem in 4k somewhere whether it be movies anywhere or voodoo and it doesn't it just gave me two sets of eight seasons in HD now ugh! If I had known the digital code didn't redeem in 4k I wouldn't have bought it. I mean having them in 4k and Atmos on physical media is fine but most of my media is digital and I don't want to have to go update a new 4K player just to watch game of thrones on physical disc now.
You need to be set up for Atmos/DTS:X , you make it sound like if you only have tv speakers or sound bar or 2.1 its going to blow your mind! Its not.
Ive seen multiple Amazon reviews of this box set that say there is a disc that has Seinfeld episodes instead of GoT episodes. Any truth to this? I've also read that there was a season that was missing episodes. Any way you can confirm or deny this before I make this $250 purchase?

Watched your review and now own two sets of game of thrones but the difference is astronomical. The Blu-ray I purchased a while ago literally looked like the broadcast which I got over 1080i satellite, but this 4K I feel like they're filming in my room, grainless, bright, excellent black contrast so I can see the details in the dark finally, And there's a lot of dark scenes in GOT. Can hardly wait to watch it again and catch the long night episode I just don't want to spoil it and go straight to that episode for a test with the X900H. I just know it'll be worth the wait going through the series again it'll be like the first time!

It started going downhill in season 5 at least. The show still had its moments, but season 7 and 8 were really bad.
@@cobain2261 yeah, it was going down hill for awhile, but I think it was still salvageable even through season 7 as long as they finished strong, which is the opposite of what happened; season 8 is just about entirely irredeemable. Maybe the first two episodes S8 could be made to be viable, but from third episode on out it is arguably the biggest fail in TV history.
Just watched this now. That one looks horrible compared to the one we got in Australia. The colour of the border is horrible and each disc case being all black.

Watching GAME OF THRONES (season 1) in 4K on my 32" Samsung monitor is breathtaking. The sound is crystal clear on the headphone, you hear every detail and you see every detail. It makes you appreciate the art of film making, how the sound moves, the nuances. It is mesmerizing. Upscale 4K is not the same.
This release is not native 4K but rather upscaled for the UHD Disc for every season.
Well is the long night episode problems with dark artifacts pixelation going wild tooich darkness erc are they gone ?

The last battle in season 8 against the dead was ridiculous. All the history they used on prior battles got thrown out the window on this. It still was good, but after how much effort they put into the battle of the bastards, then this battle with everyone outside the castle walls fighting an enemy that doesn't stop and with arrows made out of the shards, yet barely use them. Overall I enjoyed the entire show, all 8 seasons.
I somewhat agree. But remember, they only had several days to prepare before the dead arrived. Winterfell is a small castle, they couldn't keep everyone inside. The Unsullied and Dothraki were to keep the dead back as much as they could until the Night King arrived. So Dany and Jon could fight and kill him. Could have been better, but was decent.
I'm still waiting for Xena warrior princess to get blu-ray release. But I'd love bones, eureka, warehouse 13 though the special effects won't be worth the upgrade

Hey I got a question I just bought a oled TV and the atmos sound bar its the LG SN9YG 5.1.2 by meridian the demo i heard was amazing and I know its not a real surround sound to some people but my movie room is just for me and not huge so for a 15x15 room it should be good right? I haven't opened it yet ive been waiting and debating if I should keep it or not.. please help me out or make a video on atmos surround sound and what is good and what to stay away from.. also before people here say a sound bar for a surround sound system well yeah I dont need the crazy stuff and its a $1k sound bar so its not junk.. Should seek audioholics on TH-cam for better audio questions and information. Most soundbars that are modern will have a calibration microphone to give better DSP to mimic Atmos like sound but most things are better then tv speakers.
