  • Power to weight ratio on the bike : • Suzuki GSXR 1100 Power...
    How I reduced the weight on this MC : • Suzuki GSXR 1100 Weigh...
    Fly by at high speed with this Gixxer : • Suzuki GSXR 1100 Fly B...
    The old stock exhuast was removed this year and a full titanium akrapovic 4-2-1 exhust system was installed.
    The old stock Suzuki 4-2-2 full exhaust weigh 17,1 kg
    The new Acrapovik 4-2-1 full sport exhaust weight 5,5kg
    That is a weight saving of 11.6kg!!!
    Converted to pounds that is 25.57 of pure weight savings!!!
    Also this year I installed a new Shido Lithium Ion battery that only weigh 0,8kg
    Compared to my old lead acid battery that weight 4,3kg that is a weight saving of 3,5kg
    I made a video review of that battery that you can watch under my other videos
    Also this year i removed the tools pack from underneath the saddle and that saved me 0,9kg
    So the total weight savings this year is 16kg converted that is 35,27 pounds
    That is some serious savings for a bike!
    In this video i make a walkaround and display the bike and take some close up detail shots and also start up the mc .
    This the 1998 model year of the famous GSXR-1100 sportsbike .This was the final year the 1100 was in production and in 1999 the hayabusa was released and took over the flag as Suzukis big bore sport bike
    This is the GU75C version of the 1100 r which was produced between 93-98 . The Earlier bikes produced between 86-92 goes by the name GU75A and GU75B
    When I was a kid back in the 90s this was my dream sports bike
    So in the spring of 2017 this fine example came up for sale with just one owner before me who bought it new back in the spring of 1999 so the motorcycle stood on the showroom floor for over a year before it was purchased. It now have 22450km on the clock or translated to miles that is 13950 miles. When I saw the bike on the internet adverts I bought it straight up becuase I been searching for over 2 years for a completely stock Gsx r 1100r with low milage.
    After i got it I changed the engine oil and oilfilter , sparkplugs , airfilter , coolant fluid , brakefluid, fluid for the clutch and replaced the grips to Suzuki GSX-R 1100 stock oem grips.
    This machine was sold new in Sweden so it´s the powerful european spec on this bike with the 40mm carburetors and unrestricted motor
    This Gsx1100r have a 1074cc water cooled inline 4 cylinder , DOHC , TSCC , 16 valve engine producing 156 hp and 117 nm of torque. 1993 was the first year this engine was watercooled / Liquid cooled and it was pretty much the same engine for 1993 wp , 1994 wr , 1995 ws , 1996 wt , 1997 wv and 1998 ww except in 1995 the changed the cams and som other parts to make the motor more powerful. The earlier years 1986 G ( GU74A ) , 1987 H , 1988 J , 1989 K , 1990 L ,1991 M and 1992 N the engine in this bike was air and oil cooled . This 98 bike weight is 221 kilo dry. It´s a very powerful motorcycle that will
    still hang with most of the modern bikes

    Looks like it just left the factory. It's huge compared to other sports bikes, but it is what it makes it fascinating. In an example, an Honda Fireblade or a Kawa ZX-7 of the same era, compared to this, it's like a Porsche 911 compared to a Lamborghini Diablo.

      Thank you! The bike is in mint condition for sure. I collect low milage gsxr 1100s from 1995-1998 in great conditition with few previous owners. I been scaning the ads here in Sweden since 2015 and only come a cross 2 really nice bikes. This one and my other 1995 gsxr 1100 that you can se a video of in my chanel. I like the looks of the 1100s and the classic 90s styling with the graphics and all. Then it is a great machine to ride aswell that is comfortable to ride for a sport bike and also the engine is a gem.

    Beautiful bike I currently own a ZZR1200 and I am jealous only thing that puts me off GSXR is the extreme riding position so... I will be buying a Bandit 1200 to experience THAT engine. Granted not as powerful but still get to experience G's engine and gearbox

    • @CarsAndMotorcycles
      @CarsAndMotorcycles  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thx man! The Gsxr 1100 is by todays standards a sport touring bike with its ridning position. I used to own a Yamaha R1 - 2003 model and the gsxr 1100 is way moore comfortable then that bike. If recommend you to try a Gsxr 1100 and i bet you will be suprised how comfortable it is compared to the modern sportsbikes. Look for the 1995 - 1998 model becuase in 1995 Suzuki made the last improvements to the bike and one of those things was to make the bike moore comfortable by lowering the footpegs and so on. The 1200 bandit uses the air / oil cooled engine from the old gsxr 1100 bikes pre 1993 and that engine is not as powerful as the later ones with the watercooled engines even when its unrestricted. So look for a nice condition gsxr 1100 bike year model 1995 - 1998 is my advise.. These bikes are also a good investment for the future becuase the value will go up year after year. Im a real gsxr 1100 enhusiast and on my chanel you can se moore videos of my 1995 gsxr 1100 and also of this 1998 model everything from dyno videos to flybys and weight reduction clips of the bike. Have a nice day!

    • @carlgill5946
      @carlgill5946 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look at how the tread curves on the back tire then look at the front and you'll see why I thought that it's on backwards. It seems as if when it's Rollin through water it would push the water in an opposite direction than the back tire. If im wrong though I'm wrong..

    • @CarsAndMotorcycles
      @CarsAndMotorcycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on the condition and milage. I own 2 gsxr 1100 bikes. This 1998 and also a 1995 model that you can see on my chanel. I have been searching for low milage bikes in great condition here in Sweden since 2015 and so far only found these 2. But back to your question. If you have a bike with low milage in great condition I would put it at 4000 euro or moore today. But these bikes are going up in value so its wise to keep them. Tell me about your bike.

    • @Big1_
      @Big1_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsAndMotorcycles but its a 1100, its like a small car engine, and 55.000 is not much for a 1100 engine, in my opinion. My bandit 400 1992 has 50.000 and runs perfect reaching near 200 kmh with only 56hp. i live in spain

    • @CarsAndMotorcycles
      @CarsAndMotorcycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Survivalist You cant compare the 1100 gsxr engine with a car engine. The gsxr engine is so Much more powerful so its important in my opinion that i have low milage on it. Do you have the 40 mm carburetors on the 1100 in spain? In Sweden it have but in the USA they have the 36 mm carburetors that is not as powerful.
