Question of the DAY~ Are you using blue light protection? Are you using blue light filters for your devices or blue light glasses?

In the past, I had some smartphones whose screens were too harsh on my eyes... I used to apply some blue filters available in the Google PlayStore (Android).
Since 2016 I have a LG V10 (it was the brand flagship). The rear camera performance is outstandingly great.
Plus, the screen is very gentle to my eyes!
Its auto-brightness works really well and it doesn't seem to cause me any discomfort...
I'm really positively impressed with it, overall!
I mean not all smartphone screens are identical!
I'm not saying that LG is better than other brands.
I'm saying that some smartphone screens are more comfortable to the eyes. We should test the products wisely, before buying them!
Thank you for all the very informative videos you have been sharing here!
I'm sure many people still need to apply blue filters, because I noticed that some screens are really harsh to the eyes.

@@DoctorEyeHealth Even then some screens can't dim enough the backlight, even when it's regulated to 0 (zero)!
That's why it's still important to apply blue filters to many models of smartphones!
I'm sure your recommendations are always great!
I have been subscribing your channel since the last months and I can say that all your videos are very informative with lots of knowledge and they're well explained as well!

Can you do a video on pigment on the sclera of the eye? I have a brown yellowish spot on the white of my left eye near my iris and it developed when I was younger. It’s always bothered me and my eye doctor said its normal since it’s just extra melanin and posses no risk, but I heard that you can get it removed for cosmetic reasons? Do you think that’s a harmless idea or risky?

    • @DoctorEyeHealth

That would be a great subject to cover, I can try and schedule a whole series on eye spots and such. From your description is does sound like your doctor diagnosed you with some type of racial melanosis. Not too sure about the removal of it though. I suppose there is a procedure for everything. I will look into it a bit more and see if I can make a video on the subject.

That wasn’t a review though, that was a plug. It was more “here’s this one brand that I know I like and here are the good features” as opposed to an objective review of a product you aren’t familiar with or an objective review comparing it to other, similar products.
Leaves me with a bunch of questions about the product. Like, do the computer screens come in a non-privacy version? Why does the phone screen protector have a purple sheen? Among others...
Also, there are companies that make blue light filtering lenses that don’t have a yellow hue to them and there are some companies that offer the blue light filter as a feature for Rx lenses, that’s probably worth mentioning.
C’mon, doc. You can do better.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth

Thanks for the input. Its good to hear that type of feedback. I will be sure to try and see what I can do for future videos. More or less I found out about the screen protector and thought it was a good option for an alternative to blue light glasses and thought people would like to know about it. To answer your questions though, I think all computer filters have a privacy filter built in, not 100% sure about it. The purple sheen is likely a type of anti-reflective. But honestly I am not 100% sure how they actually make the protectors. Again, thank you for your input.
