To me it would be interesting if it shows how a terrorist organization keeps on going after all of its founders have been wiped out, and could evolve to become a greater threat. Similar to real life. It could happen as part of multiple story lines happening at once. Maybe RR could ally with Black Freeza or another new villain. Or whoever is the villain in Daima. It'll be a challenge to the Dragon Ball creative team to make a more complex storyline than before.
Tbh the TOP ruined any and all potential for believable new opponents because it narrowed everything down to just a handful of what were supposedly the strongest beings in their respective universes. This makes me question most threats after that arc and even if so far they have justified these enemies, there's only so many times they can use the "oh, he was locked away /banished until now" trope. It's made the DB universe feel so small now. Back in the days of Z u would never know what galactic threats were out there while in super universe 7 is pretty much Freeza's territory. This is why I think the villains are starting to regress back to the low stakes, goofy villain of the week types we would see in OG DB.
To be fair...back in Z Frieza was said to be the "strongest in the universe" when that wasn't necessary to be said. As a result...the next threats had to be androids that weren't made yet or literal evil itself that was banished chronologically at the start of the series. Then GT came along and said "F consistency! We're going to space and there will be villains stronger than Frieza just because!". So in short...Z did an amazing genre twist by taking DBs fantasy and turning it into sci-fi and then squandered its potential very quickly by limiting the space scope to one all powerful emperor that was fought on one planet. Then GT decided to re-introduce the idea of space travel but screwed up the execution cause its GT (though I heard the Baby Saga is good...and heard that its technically the second half of the first saga anyways so...). Then Super introduced multiple universes...in an admitedly lazy way and then very quickly limited that potential with the ToP anyways. This here is the problem of rapid power scaling. It works great in the short term but is bad long term. One way or another you have to ruin believability to keep interest going or continue in a boring way. The solution is to either tell a shorter story with more dense themes (aka not just be as simple as overcoming obstacles) or tell a longer story that isn't presented so linearly. (The former be more like TTGL...the latter more like HxH!)
Introducing the tournament of power was a real deep cut for this series power scaling, could've put the entire moro, broly and granolah stuff and even more before getting the angels and zeno thing into scene
It does sound interesting. I mean, carmine may have a secret weapon that could give a challenge that will force teen gotenks to finally appear outside of dragonball heroes. Since this is the RR army, maybe we will get to see another android. Also having a new cell max wouldn't be far fetched. IT WAS CLEARLY STATED that what we saw was an incomplete version of cell max because magenta couldn't wait anymore.
I don't mind this slice of life stuff with Goten and Trunks. And i think there are others who could agree with me, even slightly. I'm down for it. It takes a break from big "serious" stories. Like you can't go "check out this new powerful frieza, whos been training for 10 years in another dimension, wonder how thats gonna go" and then hardcut to Trunks and Goten thing. And while i don't know how much I want frieza back yet, that's a huge thing to just leave there and not call any attention to it. It's just wonky.
I feel like this coming chapter is just there to give Goten some victories because He’s never gotten a solo victory in his life until this arc with the Elvis android and these RR grunts.
I feel like this might be setting up for an Android 21 Saga. Carmine being alive and wanting revenge against Dr. Hedo and the Z Fighters, Vomi being a former medical researcher and Hedo's grandmother, Carmine owning a pharmaceutical company where a medical researcher would work, a remnant of the Red Ribbon Army still being alive, the identity of Hedo's father, mother, and maternal grandparents being unrevealed, and an upcoming enemy that Goten and Trunks will be able to take part in defeating (so not Black Frieza level). Feels like ingredients for Android 21.
Why does anybody care about black frieza? Laziest character ever written, even more than Max Cell. He's just supremely talented and hates saiyans for no reason, and now he's the strongest again oh boo hoo he's so evil oh no retcons. I'm sorry Qaaman I love you but this rant is kind of showing the opposite of what you said. If we go by Dragon Ball rules and I mean real old school rules. Every arc ended with a setup for the next arc something that dropped in the Z portion of the series unfortunately. But recently if you go back to all the new Toyotaro arcs you'll notice he brought that back. So most likely like the previous arcs this chapter is just a segue into the next arc and honestly that should bring intrigue not groans. I also know Dragon Ball fans, I'm a fan since 1998 or so, and everytime especially since the internet age the fans complain before they even know what they're getting. Relax and wait how the story unfolds then you can judge it.
I really hope the next arc of the Dragonball Super manga is the End of Z arc. I really want to see the next generation of Dragon Team members take over. Goten, Trunks, Marron, Pan, Bra, Uub and Android 17’s kids are the future of Dragonball!
I think this extra chapter is just covering the loose ends and bookending the arc. THEN its over. That is it besides possibly setting up or teasing the actual next arc at the very end.

Super Heroes gave Goten and trunks more characterisation which they needed, added world building to an increasingly ignored Earth, and it was nice to get something more down to Earth. Remember the earlier statement we got about someone wanting to expand dragon ball to a wider audience. So far, we are still on something most fans consider boring in the manga and an event with news on Daima, and Sparking Zero isn't being livestreamed. 2024, is not off to a good start for dragon ball.
I'm in that percentage that just wants to hear a grown man rant about dragonball. I haven't actually watched anything dragonball related since the tournament of power (which i didn't like) and have mainly been following the series through your vids.
Toriyama is heavily involved with Daima right now, that's why the manga is stalling by retelling super hero,, He just hasn't had the time to come up with a new arc yet.
We're definitely gonna look fondly on this in a decade or two, just like how we look fondly at GT and the first arcs of Super now. But for now... This is being a real challenge.
I guess I must have the thickest patience in the world. I understand that the heads at the top are stalling. Heck even DB Daima to its own extent is stalling until we get to Black Frieza. In the meantime I just refresh with other things and come back later. It just makes everything go faster. When a chapter comes out I'm like *"Cool, whatever"* I don't let the impatience get to me, I hibernate and let my inner fan sleep dormant until the time comes. If you watched Cowboy the movie all the main characters were struggling to find the main villain. Spike just waited it out and said.... *"Good things come to those who wait"* 😎 That's how I've always approached it.

The shining star we were pointing to at the start of the movie adaptation and the Trunks+Goten prequel was that this was giving the team time to work on the real story. I'm kinda convinced that all of this is just filler to buy time until the next arc is decided on/planned out. Assuming it isn't just Daima. Or them seeing Super Hero Movies, Animes, and shows doing well. And trying to capitalize on the Super Hero craze.
I unironically think Carmine has a lot of potential for a new arc or even more. He could be used to canonize Android 13, 14, 15 and even 21 in a Superhero epilogue with Goten and Trunks or even in a brand new arc. He could also be used to tie in with Frieza, having him be an ally to Frienza somehow, maybe lending the Red Ribbon knowledge of androids to him in order to have OG73 back up and running. But alas chapter 101 came out and it wasted him.
Let’s hope this is just a one issue thing that ends up with us seeing older Gotenks. If not then it’ll be a massive disappointment. It would sorta be bad if it ends up with Gotenks but takes 5 months to finish.

care more about him than i do black frieza at this point(we all know he's just going to die again back into that hell tree as he'll never change deep down unless he actually gives up on going after the saiyans to just run his empire/needs to be by vegetas hands.) . as with the red ribbon army back in focus in a better handled way than just framing they could really go into not just potentially android 21/vomi but also just more of dr. gero's past and more androids learning from their mistakes with how they showed humans can catch up in their own ways which the series needs to go back to.(like having the z fighters go with goku to those other time chambers to progress enough to handle the bigger invasion frieza likely will bring.)

What ever comes at the end of these rabbit holes, BETTER BE WORTH IT! I wanna see an arc with black frieza or a new well written villain with no plot twist, they better be preparing for the best arc of the series
Remember the earlier statement we got about someone wanting to expand dragon ball to a wider audience. So far, we are still on something most fans consider boring in the manga and an event with news on Daima, and Sparking Zero isn't being livestreamed. 2024, is not off to a good start for dragon ball.
I'm in that percentage that just wants to hear a grown man rant about dragonball. I haven't actually watched anything dragonball related since the tournament of power (which i didn't like) and have mainly been following the series through your vids.
It sounds like they no longer even care about the community. That was already pretty apparent when they spent months rehashing a movie.

Toriyama is heavily involved with Daima right now, that's why the manga is stalling by retelling super hero,, He just hasn't had the time to come up with a new arc yet.
We're definitely gonna look fondly on this in a decade or two, just like how we look fondly at GT and the first arcs of Super now. But for now... This is being a real challenge.
I guess I must have the thickest patience in the world. I understand that the heads at the top are stalling. Heck even DB Daima to its own extent is stalling until we get to Black Frieza. In the meantime I just refresh with other things and come back later. It just makes everything go faster. When a chapter comes out I'm like *"Cool, whatever"* I don't let the impatience get to me, I hibernate and let my inner fan sleep dormant until the time comes.
If you watched Cowboy the movie all the main characters were struggling to find the main villain. Spike just waited it out and said.... *"Good things come to those who wait"* 😎

I've followed you for a very long time I discovery you around 8th or 9th grade/(I think) I definitely remember the timeline video when it was new but I gotta be honest the super hard negative opinions are getting old we know how good dragon ball was and nobody thinks super is the best but it's still fun your a great guy and I think I speak for everyone who supports you when I say I want to see you more but, in something your more positivity about. Everyone knows qaaman what makes you excited wherever you go I'll follow I'm positive you'll find success! I'm serious btw I'm a huge fan and respect your opinion and think you may be wasting your potential complaining about a manga/show that isn't changing. Maybe watch jjk or One piece or even just talk about local news it's obvious you don't care for db anymore but your a great TH-camr why complain when you got such a good personality and voice hopefully you see this

Edit: Wait ... The shining star we were pointing to at the start of the movie adaptation and the Trunks+Goten prequel was that this was giving the team time to work on the real story. It's over now and we're doing this? Maybe this is just what TTT wants to do...

Yep, I am done with the Red Ribbon and Super Hero. I would've liked to see what Frieza's been cooking, even something about Uub or even Broly to drum up hype. I'm just not interested in seeing Carmine again.

I'm kinda convinced that all of this is just filler to buy time until the next arc is decided on/planned out. Assuming it isn't just Daima.
Or them seeing Super Hero Movies, Animes, and shows doing well. And trying to capitalize on the Super Hero craze.
I unironically think Carmine has a lot of potential for a new arc or even more.
He could be used to canonize Android 13, 14, 15 and even 21 in a Superhero epilogue with Goten and Trunks or even in a brand new arc.
He could also be used to tie in with Frieza, having him be an ally to Frienza somehow, maybe lending the Red Ribbon knowledge of androids to him in order to have OG73 back up and running.
But alas chapter 101 came out and it wasted him.
Let’s hope this is just a one issue thing that ends up with us seeing older Gotenks. If not then it’ll be a massive disappointment. It would sorta be bad if it ends up with Gotenks but takes 5 months to finish.
I don't think they can think of new villian against ultra instinct level and what form you going to use to be better than UI , then how will you introduce vegito on top of that.. you need fusion lol

as with the red ribbon army back in focus in a better handled way than just framing they could really go into not just potentially android 21/vomi but also just more of dr. gero's past and more androids learning from their mistakes with how they showed humans can catch up in their own ways which the series needs to go back to.(like having the z fighters go with goku to those other time chambers to progress enough to handle the bigger invasion frieza likely will bring.)
