I really like your videos. As I learn vatsim, I keep one of your timecode full flight videos queued in a browser to review and stay ahead of my communications during a flight.
Great vid man. Here's a tip you can add there, in the FMS route page you do not need to specify airway to airway intersections; in your case inputting UN873 on L2 and UP729 on L3, the FMS would automatically populate JUIST on R2. Most quality add-ons support this, as do the real birds. It is a considerable time saver. Thanks for the great work! And maybe a visit to Lisbon? who knows ;D safe flying!
Thanks! Thanks for the tip, didn't know that haha. It can save some time, and no doubt that the PMDG 737 simulates this as well :). Never been to Lisbon before, not in real life or in the sim haha, who knows! :)
Well, you're invited then. We will have an event in Funchal, Madeira by the end of the year. I would very much like to have you there somehow. Feel free, you're my guest there. But hey, no issue if you can't or don't feel like it.
Sir, your tutorials are amazing! I would like to ask you a couple of questions, when do we need to engage TOGA mode? How do you know when to extend and retract flaps? how to did you learn to fly PMDG 737? Can you make tutorals on PMDG aircrafts? Thank you for reading my comment:)
Thanks! You engage TOGA after advancing throttles to 40% and making sure all is stable. For the rest, make sure you read the manual and do the tutorial flight.
On departure the 737 NG will have a little 1 and an UP higher up on the speed display on the PFD. Flaps 1 at 1, flaps retract at UP. For landing, extend flaps whenever you want so long as you are under the speed limit for the notch you want to extend to.
THANK YOU! I'm a real-world instrument pilot but hopelessly intimidated by trying to learn to fly PMDG planes. This really helped me. I really appreciate it.
Great video series mate. I think this does a lot for people learning to fly in the simulator community. I have one small comment/correction to make. When applying full power at takeoff on a runway, you turn your yoke in the direction the wind is coming from, but the rudder is used based on what you see outside the window. You don't apply opposite rudder to aileron technique. That is more of a crosswind landing technique. Most propeller driven aircraft, will almost always need some right rudder initially, no matter what the wind is doing. Anyway.... That's a minor detail and it should not take away from the good job you're doing. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Yes I'm aware of the aileron input during takeoff. In this case however, I might have only provided a little bit of aileron input on my Saitek yoke which didn't translate to a visible movement of the yoke in the VC. And indeed I use the rudder pedals to stay on centerline, can' miss them in a good flightsim setup :)
AviationPro Sorry, just to be clear, I wasn't criticizing what you were doing. I would never do that. I was referring to what you were saying before you got on the runway about what to expect when there is crosswind.
I love the simplicity of your tutorial, it's the best that I have seen out there. However, is it possible that you can do an extensive tutorial on VOR?
Bro your courses are so in depth there is no one out there doing it like you thanks a lot man. Quick question. How do you get the fms to pop up in the center of screen like that? Is that a specific ability this 737 has?
I'm gonna ask you something, about the other video about PFPX. Is it possible in PFPX, to get different formats of dispatch plans like in Simbrief(LIDO, American Airlines etc) or is it all the generic same dispatch plan?
Nice job. I like that you do not fear diversions or hand flying. Was I seeing correctly that the aircraft was at flaps 1 during cruise? If so, then it is a bit interesting that you mention fuel burn monitoring at the beginning. These things happen and is exactly why 2 pilots are required to fly this aircraft in real life.
Thanks! As far as I know I only put down flaps 1 just before joining the ILS approach, during cruise they were up :). I didn’t actually fly this entire flight though ;)
Hi I am using X plane 11. What issues (if any) will I have using the standard nav data that comes with the SIM? Do I need to buy navigraph for nav updates?
For example, ATC might ask you to follow a SID or a STAR which has certain waypoints that you don't have, this will be a problem. Or you file a flight plan with a route that in the latest AIRAC cycle has been removed, and since ATC also uses latest AIRAC data this can give some trouble and is not very realistic. The older your AIRAC cycle, the more of such problems you will encounter ;)
Very nicely detailed, it's just a shame about the colour saturation for the talking head portions, it's way off and doesn't look natural. I'm impressed with the quality of the video otherwise.
Thank you! Yeah it's hard to get that right. Without that I look like a living corpse because of the amount of light through my windows. If I can get some studio-type lighting I should be able to improve on color and saturation etc., but for now I have to record during daylight and add some color when editing.

Just joined vatsim and am a bit overwhelmed. This video is perfect and is a huge relief! Thank you so much!
also, I can't seem to find this PMDG 737 for x plane 11. Can you help?
Glad you liked it, hope you will enjoy VATSIM! :)
The PMDG 737 is FSX and Prepar3D only
Benjamin Lowe, you don't need a 737 add on for X-Plane 11 because it's default 737 is already on PMDG level
@@beenlowe19 u should use the zibo 737, its free
I appreciate just how detailed it is.Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thanks!

been looking forward to this for about a week lol
Yes, had some exams to take care of, first things first! :)
Thank you!
Nice Pro! As always, very informative.
Thank you! :) Glad you liked it :)
I thank you, you really helped me to start with vatsim Great job.
You're welcome!
@@AviationPro for the communication radio, we do not need team speak ?

I love it refreshing all my memory
Hello, do you know how to enter the SIDS and STARs on the fly?

great video mate can we do a shared cockpit soon please
Thanks! Only for patrons I'm afraid.
Great job with this video!
+P Mac Thanks! :)
I thought it was always a left turn pattern. Is it different in EU?
Thank you 🙏 SOOoOooOoOooOoOooOoOooooOoOoOooOoOOOOOO much
What app do you use to control FMS on your ipad? (That one that show on the video's cover)
Virtual CDU (but their website is broken I believe)
What addons are you using? Terrain looks awesome! :o
ORBX FTX Global and Ultimate Terrain for the terrain part ;)
Do you have any discord?
Nope they work fine together :) FTX Global is for the textures only, Ultimate Terrain is more of a landclass product.
AviationPro okay. I just bought ftx global, ik ben Nederlands dus ik vroeg of je een discord server had waar ik op kon joinen :)
Am I blind or something? I am on a 737-800...where and how do I place all the information if I wanna use real life weather in the sim?
Is there any good iPad fmc that connects to PMDG aircraft and aerosoft Airbus fleet
Yes, Virtual Avionics, it's 20 bucks per aircraft type, but worth it :)
