We didnt even start yet, but when we look back. I think this will be "the Covid Season". Unless someone "new" winns the [Covid] title. Then it'll be the fist title of... Charles, Max or maybe Seb the first Ferrari title since 08
Diamond Dog yeah say what you will but Schumacher could be a absolute prick some times Great driver wasn’t always a prick but getting pissed off at DC when he’s the one who ruined his own race or wrecking people out to win Not cool at all
i have a request, REDBULL HEAR ME OUT!. theres been alot of talk about an f1 car having so much downforce it can stick to the ceiling if driven so. REDBULL you guys have pulled off some amazing stuff in the past and ive been a fan for a while especially since you have honda power lol. anyway please consider the challenge. MAKE AN F1 CAR RIDE ON A CEILING!!!!!!
What do you mean, "no tire choice"? Each team will have two sets of Hard, three sets of Medium, and eight sets of Soft, to use as and when they see fit.
they should use an RC car to hand out the trophies, or something like that. I remember that on rugby, they used an RC renault duster to take the kicking tee(dont know how it is called) out on the field
Autosport wanted to thank you for the support. I have good news as well just found out my lymph node is clear which means I have officially beaten cancer! I don’t know if you’ll see this but I was so impressed when you responded I wanted to thank you.
Do they have any plans in place for teams leaving the grid after the formation lap begins? I was surprised to hear that there are detailed plans in place for other aspects of forming up the grid, but nothing about how as many as 400 people are supposed to return to the pit lane through narrow entrance-ways in under five minutes, without coming into close contact. Did I miss something? Also doesn't 40 still seem like a huge number of people for each team to have on the grid? Couldn't they manage with closer to 20?
The extended time (from 3 minutes to 5) is supposed to enable most team personnel to leave the grid, so that they will not be all sharing the same entry/exit places. But as you said, it still sounds like a lot of people in small space at the same time.
@@CrazyBikerGuy I'm not very picky on presenters, but her voice sounds nice. Makes it slightly more interesting to listen to than listening to other Autosport reporters, I think...
Cars coming out of their garages to go right to the formation lap? It will be interesting to see who is first to screw it up in the pits. Wouldnt it be easier to just eliminate the entourage allowed when the grid lines up?
Some of these rules might be not totally bad, they might teach F1 it can do the same things with less money and time wasted in enormous, glitzy infrastructures. Races back in the 1980s almost looked like an hippie gathering, but none complained since you still had the "Fab Four" battling wheel-to-wheel while "wrestling" their 1,000 HP turbo monsters.
"4 months since any of these 2020 cars properly tested...the on track action could be better than ever" - well, all of the cars were leaving the track :-p
The reason why hè said IT would taken twice as long as before is: they havent been able to take it appart and build it all up again because the engine's were sealed.
They should bring the trophies out with a Boston Robotics quadraped, or would that draw attention to the post-apocalyptic vibe? This could be the sport's escape from the grid-/trophy-girl debate!
Have they considered doing the cardboard cutout people like they do for football? It makes the stands look full even though They're only one dimensional pictures
False negatives are a possibility, plus if the testing is every 5 days a lot could happen in between those tests. It makes sense to be as cautious as possible.
If they decided to start a race like NASCAR & INDY CAR than F1 have shot themselves in the foot. The start from the start make the race. Jump starts & top teams starting from the back make the beginning the the race fun the watch with the top 5 fighting for 1st during the first 2 to 3 laps.
I actually quite like the idea of no guests at the races. Be nice to to pan to some annoying celebrity's face while good a good race move is happening. Hopefully the camera's can just focus in the racing for a change ✌
i feel bad for kimi. all this social distancing is going to be tough for him.
He was social distancing before it was cool lol

Nice to see a pic from Charlie Whiting! RIP Charlie!
Imagine a custom Boston Dynamics SPOT "robot dog" giving the trophies to the winner, how cool that could be 😲
We need this
Boston Dynamics also has humanoid robot called Atlas.
I like the style of the video. Nice job Jess and Autosport!
Thanks Patrick!
Some of the background music sounds like a phone vibration and its doing my head in.
Hey - thanks for the feedback, we'll bear this in mind for the next vid 👍
@@AutosportOfficial Could you tell us what the name of the song is starting at 5:20? Thanks in advance
As much as I enjoy all the myriad details about F1, it’s the action on the track that holds the most interest for me.
Is that Jess?! Oh man it's good to have you doing these videos!
The weirdest change is gonna be the lack of a podium
Jess is awesome.
Jesse is awesome too ❤️
At least with reduced personnel it's less people that have to hear Hamilton bleating on about his tyres having 'gone'...

Lets already start the season i need a shot of f1 desperately. I have withdrawal symptoms.
I am most looking forward to seeing how DAS works and if it turns out to be a competitive advantage or not.
Can't wait. Tyre allocation might throw a pigeon into the cats.

It's like Formula One is becoming more like esports rather than the other way round. It's good that we can have a championship
Yay, Jess!!!
Yay, Nicocal 04! ❤️
I have had a test: The event is completely dangerless and doesnt hurt
having no tire choice will be the biggest factor in this season
What do you mean, "no tire choice"? Each team will have two sets of Hard, three sets of Medium, and eight sets of Soft, to use as and when they see fit.
So! When do we start?
they should use an RC car to hand out the trophies, or something like that. I remember that on rugby, they used an RC renault duster to take the kicking tee(dont know how it is called) out on the field
What does it matter what we think? As long as F1 does all they can to start racing again.
I'm beyond excited!
Anyone know the song that starts at 5:20? Thanks
I’ve now had three covid 19 tests thanks to cancer treatment. They suck. I feel sorry for the F1 teams in this respect.
That can't be fun at all, but hope you're doing ok

I think it would be a better idea to maybe do the sim option over running in person. If that's not possible, then maybe not at all. Just my opinion

How many seconds gap between cars is viable under social distancing guidelines?
Well at least the huge gaps between the cars that normally occur in every race will be a good thing.
Cars coming out of their garages to go right to the formation lap? It will be interesting to see who is first to screw it up in the pits. Wouldnt it be easier to just eliminate the entourage allowed when the grid lines up?
Just go from pit to formation lap. No need for a busy grid.

Thanks... No thanks for the insult
I think that most of these new protocols will stay / or we'll see back from 2022 onward because of cost cap.
may be, the lap formation could start from pitlane, and thus the people will not move from their garages...
At least the camera man won't suddenly cut to the crowd when something exciting happens.

Will drivers have to pass eachother in 2m distance when racing?
There are some security concerns for Zoom.
Microsoft Teams or Cisco WebEx should be better choices.

The biggest change is that the drivers will have to keep the cars 2 meters apart.
Let's just go racing already before we get shut down again.

It seems a bit overkill honestly, esp if everyone has to test negative to begin with before the event to even be allowed in.
