Happy to help 😁👍. My sunglasses suffered a similar fate but were not able to be saved 😎😂

This is so helpful! My other problem is the top part of the headset is peeling as well on the outside but also the leather, I don’t mind the outside but the leather i find falls and leaves little bits, I expected better for such an expensive headset that only lasted a year, the audio is still working great, I don’t know if you have any tips on what I can do

Exactly what I needed! I'm going to be installing a headphone jack into me set, as some PC games have messed up audio when using this headset. I find it mildly annoying that they didn't just put a headphone jack into this thing by default. I know wireless is the future and stuff, but the option to use it wired should just be a no brainer, I doubt a headphone jack is going to be so expensive they cant add one. But I'm handy enough with a soldering iron I can do it myself so whatever.
All I needed was to figure out how to get to the screws without destroying the pads. I have a headphone amplifier I made out of the volume control board from a set of USB powered PC speakers, so I have plenty on power to push through these to get the proper sound. Volume was always my main complaint with this headset. By default too quiet for my liking, so I had been using software to increase the gain and force the sound to be louder. Now I can just crank the volume up on the amp and be good to go!

@@accessoryhouse Well, by no means am I a pro, but I have some experience with repairing headphones, soldering wires back on their pads, or adding headphone sockets to things (usually to jerry rig USB power to battery powered shavers or tap into a TV's speaker pins to make a DIY headphone amp in the TV). Sadly I spent some time incarcerated, and these are great skills to have to repair your own personal headphones or repair other inmates things in exchange for commissary goods, which we use as money for bartering.
The mod went off quite well! My work is never the prettiest to look at, but it's functional which matters most to me. I wired up left and right audio for the headset's drivers, and ground for both sides as well. I used a four point socket, so I could have wired up the microphone too, but I didn't see the point, as the couple of games that have wonky audio over the wireless (which is what inspired this mod) I never use the mic for so I didn't bother. The only issue now is that I get some crackly audio if I turn the volume too loud, but I that could be from all my jerry rigged cables and the DIY headphone amp. If I swapped to store bought stuff it would probably resolve itself, but I found the sweet spot of loudness with no crackle that works for me, so I'm content as is!

The inside leather on mine pull away from the glue every time I do this, I end up having to super glue it back. It's a small thing but super annoying. Pretty bad design on that part, they really should've designed a better way to remove the pads.

Same! One of mine is totally fine, but the other is peeling and is loose, I don’t get it tbh, and expected better quality

@@JlNXEDyou'd think for the price you paid for it, it would have been tightened fast with gold plated titanium

Would this be possible with the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Xbox ?

The 700 and 700 max are the same size ear pads?

I am not sure about that. I only have the 700 gen 2

Hey. Do you know how to fix the blinking white light on these? My headset turns on and off but makes a terrible spark noise?

Unfortunately I have not come across this issue. Sorry.
