SOLID VIDEO! I knew about holding the button for 3 seconds or so to get the pairing mode activated. I'm so glad that someone took the time to make this video for all the other customers that own these headphones. I spent quite a bit of time frustrated before I figured out what your video is here to teach everyone! Nice work!
I'm happy I could help!
... Yeah I also hate being frustrated about not having knowledge that I think _should_ have been made commonplace
I’ve had it for a few weeks now and I was about to give up on the transmitter pairing, then I found this video and I’m so thankful for it. Thank you.

i got a gen 2 max for ps5 but it wont wanna pair at all tried different things but sadly enough nothing at all, and if i try to update firmware i get a notification 'please connect additional components' and both of my usb ports are working oh andddd... its brandnew pls help
Are you trying to connect a PlayStation MAX to the Xbox? If that's the case it's never going to work, both modes on the MAX for PlayStation are HID, regular USB protocol. The Xbox only reads its own protocol.
The PlayStation MAX doesn't have any special pairing system, it's automatic. I would suggest trying to power on both units at roughly the same time. You usually have a better chance at getting them to pair if the cycles are pretty close to syncing up.
I'd also suggest plugging the transmitter into some other USB port (doesn't even need a data connection to pair), so if you have a USB power outlet you can still pair to a headset, you just won't get audio to pass til you move the transmitter.
Also try not using a USB hub if possible, they can be wonky with power regulation.
@@Kage_Okami no i try to connect my ps5
so idk why but it works on my pc but on my xbox i paired it was solid and i still wasnt able to hear anything. I have the turtle beach stealth 600 usb the fully white color way but idk whats going on.On the start up guide it doesnt say how to connect it to xbox only pc, nintendo, mac, and ps5
You have a stealth 600 USB for PlayStation. They are different and that would explain your symptoms.
my transmitter and headset are paired (red when mic muted) but it’s not connecting to the xbox so i still can’t hear anything out of the headset. any tips?
If you're on a MAX and you're in USB mode, your Xbox can't process any of the data. Make sure you're in Xbox mode on the transmitter.
Xboxes don't read USB protocol, they read a different kind of protocol.
@@Kage_Okami not max regular stealth’s
@@jay_boss.302 If you have a windows 10 or 11 machine and you connect the transmitter and pair to the headset, do they appear as "Xbox controller" and pass audio?
If they do the port(s) on your Xbox might be going...
When I connect them my lights are blue not green. I bought it specifically for Xbox. Does it mean that the one I have is meant for PlayStation?
That certainly sounds like it. Did you buy a Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX or USB for Xbox? The name is important
You’re a life saver thank you so much !!!!!!!!!
I do what I can!
my headset and everything is connected to my xbox series s but my tv audio won’t come out of my headset, any advice?
Is your headset connected to the transmitter? If the transmitter is plugged in it will reroute audio, but it won't play anything if it's not paired.
Also make sure your volume wheels aren't muted. (The top one is game audio!)
Such a help thanks😊
you're welcome!!
AND GOOD LUCK IN THE WACKY RACES!
Are the 600 Gen 2 Max not compatible with the 360? I can pair my headset but get no sound
The Xbox Wireless from 360 is different than the Xbox Wireless that the One and Series consoles use. It probably can't send/receive information.
What is my usb for the headset only says PS - PC ?? I have an Xbox and I cannot figure out how to connect my headset
You cannot use that on an Xbox. You need a headset with an Xbox wireless mode to have it work on an Xbox.
You need to buy a MAX for Xbox, but what you have is a MAX for PlayStation.
Mine still randomly switches off after about a minute even though it’s been on charge for an hour. Any help?
That unfortunately sounds like some kind of battery issue, don't think that pairing is your problem.. You'll probably have to contact support about that, sorry!
THIS VIDEO WAS SO HELPFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! GREAT CONTENT KEEP IT UP MAN
Thanks!! And glad I could help too!
I have a question: my usb(not max) is blinking blue and my headset is breathing green. Can they still connect?
If it's blinking blue that sounds like the transmitter you're trying to connect to is for a PlayStation headset but your headset is for the Xbox... That's my guess anyway
@@Kage_Okami so would I not be able to connect it to my xbox? My light is blue
@@jonathanfesler8501 correct, the PlayStation 600 USB and MAX only function with USB protocol -- BOTH modes on the MAX are USB protocol and therefore an Xbox cannot send/receive any meaningful data across them.
Us same exact headphones but for some reason they just wont connect to my xbox works just fine for my ps5 just not xbox and its weird because their the same ones you use i just dont understand
If you have a playstation 600 USB it *WILL NOT* work on the Xbox.
You *NEED* an XBOX 600 Gen 2 _MAX_ if you want to use it on both consoles. Remember to flip the switch between USB and Xbox mode for PlayStation use and Xbox mode, respectively.
If you bought a PlayStation 600 Gen 2 MAX it _also_ won't work on the Xbox, it has two modes that read in USB protocol. Why they decided to do this, no one will ever know...
Thank you so much!!! I was able to still connect with my usb being teal and headset black but thank you!!!
Oh that's super interesting! Good to know!!
Thank you so much 👍
You're very welcome!
I have the head set gen 2 not max but I lost the usb can I buy another usb instead of the head set and will it work?
As long as you get the same model's USB transmitter it should work!
Hey there my usb part of my headset just stays read is there any fix??
If it stays red you're either not getting (enough) power or your firmware is bunged. I would say try another USB port/device and see if it still comes up red.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to talk to support!
I tried holding the power button down for it to do the boop boop so it can breath and it’s not doing anything
Hmm, you might have to contact support
Do you know how to fix it if the headset pairs but it doesnt transmit audio?
Are you using a USB for playstation on your Xbox? Or a USB for Xbox on your playstation? In those situations the headset cannot exchange any data with the console because the USB protocols are different.
If you want to buy one headset and use it on both consoles, you're going to *specifically need* a MAX for Xbox, which has a switch that will allow you to change the USB protocol modes.
The MAX for PlayStation reads in regular USB protocol in BOTH modes, so it still won't work on your Xbox.
@@Kage_Okami sorry I should have provided more info. So I have the stealth 600 max PlayStation version and have been using it on ps5. They were great until yesterday when they stopped pairing. After much googling and youtubing I got them to pair however no audio is transmitted to the headset even after hooking them to my PC and updating them. I have tried both USB and ps on the dongle yet nothing works.
@@GamerJoe85 does your computer recognize both the headset and transmitter as their proper devices when they're connected via USB? sounds like there's still an information transfer issue?
Mine is connected to my ps5 and both are solid green but I cant change microphone on controller to headset?
If you have a 600 gen 2 USB for Xbox it will never work on your PS5. The Xbox USB protocol is different than a standard USB device's, the PS5 cannot read it.
@Kage_Okami Thanks 😊 yeah figured so just using a hands free till I can get a decent headset.

I have S600 Gen2P, when I connect with my cell phone's Bluetooth, they don't connect, they appear in the Bluetooth, will it be a factory problem or do I have to restart them? somebody help me please
Turtle Beach 600 series headphones DO NOT have classic BT, they will never be able to play audio over a BT connection.
I have tried to connect my headset multiple times because my transmitter just goes to a red breathing mode, pls help because my headset is brand new
Red breathing on the transmitter means your headset and transmitter are connected but your headset is muted. It sounds like you've already succeeded!
How do you pair the USB with a replacement transmitter
As long as the model is the same the pairing process is the same!
If you have a different model's transmitter it won't work
I just figured how to pair them if they are different colors. It's the same process it just takes really long to connect just be patient
How long does it take bc I got a new headset that’s black but the usb is white and the headset doesn’t pair it just turns off after a while
My headset just has a red light and it doesn’t make a sound when I try turn it off or on
That sounds like the battery is dead or the firmware is bunged

Mine poured but Xbox isn’t showing that it’s connected and there is no sound
Do you have a PlayStation headset?
Also are you playing call of duty? There's a glitch right now where your headset will register as a controller until you disconnect and reconnect every time
Unrelated but does anyone's head set break after using it for a while? I've gone though 3 now and they keep breaking from fatigue
Cracking near the arm joint? I've definitely had that happen before...
@@Kage_Okami Yeah it really sucks too because its the most stressed part and super glue doe not work
@@dannydeko331 I've seen people try tape and glue, but yeah... you almost need to re-melt the whole arm together, which... Let's face it, nobody is going to do lol.
This must be for just the USB versions because my headset has native connectivity to xbox so it recognizes it as another controller when it connects
As a controller? It shouldn't show up as a controller in devices, it should show up as a headset.
Thanks 👍🏿
Thanks bro
no prob!
My USB is flashing purple but my headset is flashing blue. I used the headset for about a month or so just fine, and now it is having issues. I have the Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB…
Purple usually means it can't get out of boot up (which is red), my best guess is that either the USB port or the transmitter may be damaged.
Bro you are the best I love you so much 🎉thank you 💋💋
I just got my headset today. Love the sound but when i turn my mic on i hear everything going on around me. How do i turn the mic monitoring all the way down. It's not working when i do it on the headset.
Do you have a USB or a MAX?
If you're on a USB you'll have to use the app to change your mic monitor volume.
If you're on a MAX, switch it to PC Mode and then move the top dial, which will now be Mic Monitor.
@@Kage_Okamiwhat do you mean by PC mode ?
@@marvinserrano5482 if you're on a MAX your transmitter has a switch. Sorry, I said PC mode but your transmitter will say USB instead of PC because TB is dumb sometimes
Where can I get that thing so I can Bluetooth my headset to my Xbox?
Bluetooth? Mmm that won't work with a 600 gen 1 or 2, they don't have bluetooth
My hedset won't do the breathing thing
Okay so I have the stealth 600 Gen 2 USB Xbox it's black and green I ordered the replacement thing cuz I got the headset used but they didn't have the transmitter they took the serial number from it and send me the correct one or supposedly mine doesn't have a switch for USB or Xbox there's no switch on my transmitter at all. And when I plug it into the Xbox it's not lighting up there's no like there's a spot where it should have a light but there is no light and I know that USB works because it works for everything else.
The USB version shouldn't have a switch because it only runs in Xbox mode, so that part at least checks out.
Does your Xbox have multiple USB ports? I would say try a different port first. And if you're using a USB hub, try a different hub and then remove the hub and go directly into the Xbox.
On other devices when you plug in the transmitter, what color does it light up? Blue or green?
@@Kage_Okamifor me it only lights up blue… plz help lol?
@@bxuder3010 blue? Sounds like you have a PlayStation headset
My usb transmitter is solid red. I have contacted PlayStation, Best Buy, and Turtle Beach and they are all telling me to reset the headset and it still doesn’t work.
If your transmitter is solid red it's not booting properly. If it does the same thing in every USB port on other devices it's the transmitter that's broken.
My stick doesn’t even light up, have any idea why?
Hey the hedset color on mine is just completely red, cant hear or speak on it or anything
The headset LED is solid red? Or you have a red MAX?
If the headset LED is solid red that means it's charging, and the charging LED behaviors take precedence over other behaviors. If it's plugged in to charge, try removing the USB cable and then checking your lights!
@@Kage_Okami I have attempted to charge it to no avail, it’s still just red and unresponsive. I am honestly very confused.
@@user-gc4oj1th4h Sounds like you gotta talk to support...
The USB doesn't have any light at all coming from it, like it won't turn on
You probably have to contact support for that, if you've made sure it's not just on that one USB port
Thanks a lot man
Glad I could help!
The light on my headset stays red and doesn’t change by the on button
That sounds like a battery problem, either your headset isn't charged or the battery isn't taking the charge.
Dude Thanks so much I was confused but you made my day.
Happy to help!! I hate not knowing how my tech works and the company itself not helping me too hahaha
Mine workd perfect but my mic doesnt work and i Just got the Headset today
Are you trying to play call of duty? There's a call of duty bug with a bunch of headsets where it registers wireless headsets as controllers, until you disconnect and reconnect them after the game is open. Super weird bug
What if the usb isn’t lit up when plugged into Xbox?
That sounds like something is wrong with the port or the transmitter itself. Try plugging it into another port on something else or even a wall USB socket to see if it ever powers on. If it doesn't you'll probably have to contact support.
How do I get it to still hear sound with mic muted
... what?
The mic muting is independent of the incoming volume which you control via the wheels.
What should I do my usb dose not turn on
Try it in a different port, then on a different device! Make sure it's the dongle and not the console/port first :)
How do you fix it so you can talk I can hear but it won’t let me talk
Does your mic not unmute anymore? You have to physically lower and raise it (lowered all the way is unmuted)
Same issue.
anyone know why my transmitter led doesn’t have any light coming out?
Did you try it in a different USB port? And then on a different device? It's possible it's broken but you won't know til you plug it in somewhere else!
@@Kage_OkamiI know the USB port where the transmitter is connected is receiving power. So I plugged the transmitter in a different USB port and it still didn’t show any light coming out.
@@losangels8655 try on another device, if it still doesn't light up it's broken

Happens to the best of us, glad I could help though!
For some reason when I plug in the transmitter, it doesn’t blind green. It stays gray, does that mean it’s broken?
Gray? Oh, like it doesn't light up at all? I would say try a different port first, and then another device -- but it does sound like it's not getting power/not the right amount of power to start up

Mine solid blue on Xbox but wont connect anyone got any tips
blue means you're on a playstation headset. Your LEDs should be green.
The Xbox cannot read regular USB (HID) protocol. They'll connect because you're powering the transmitter, but they'll never pass audio.
Transmitter is a constant red everytime I plug it in
That means your transmitter isn't booting correctly. Either the USB port is damaged or the pins are damaged
My transmitter light won't turn on when I plug it into the Xbox?😢 Why?
Check it in a different USB port, and then on a different device and see if the same thing is happening! That'll tell you if it's the transmitter or your port/device.
