I was going to pull the trigger on the k drill so glad this video popped up on my feed… definitely going with the strikemaster now… thanks a TON!!!
Your welcome!! You’ll love the LF! Far superior than the KDrill
Oh wow. That thing cuts like butter. Not even close. How much do they go for? I clicked on the link but Amazon is sold out. Thanks. Great demonstration, winner is Josh.
The LF is $200. The KDrill is $250ish!! You pay more for a slower drill that will get less holes per charge.
I like that the k drill can be used for redrilling, and I should not go through as many blades. light flight speed is impressive for sure
They are good a re drilling. The LF does good as well
I have the lite flite, that thing drill fast and cut ice like butter... best auger I owned
Agreed
Looks like I'm headed to sebago bait to get me a new lite flite , I am (was) a kdrill guy, thanks for the review
I’m confident you’ll like the LF better. I have not seen or heard of one person switch and regret it!!
I think this just made the discussion for me. Heading to dicks sporting goods tomorrow to pick the 8" lite-flite Lazer up. I was considering the kdrill but after seeing this I'm going the other way. Now I just have to wait for some ice.
You won’t regret the LF. Best on the market!!
Big difference 👍🍻
Night and Day!!
I think tips is grinded with a different degrees. That's why it's faster. Greetings
Definitely makes sense
@@precisionanglingYT thanks for your answer. TBH ....they are both very fast.... compared to my drill 🤣
Great review buddy... would be glad to see more of this stuff! Thanks in advance my friend
the liteflite is so impressive.
Best on the market!!
@@precisionanglingYT I want one soo bad!!
Is the strike master good for 20 inches of ice
I’ve cut over 30” with no problem.
Hey I have a rigid hammer drive with 800lbs of torque but it came with only 2.0 Ah batteries. I have 6 of them and I have the 6 inch strikemaster. You think I’ll be ok with that combo for max 10 inches and a few holes a day? I don’t go crazy with moving when I’m on the I e
If you have the 6” SM LF, I’d think you’d be fine. Don’t hold me to it tho. The 800lbs is on the lower end of the preferred range. I’ve seen several other 800lb ranges running 6-8” augers!!
@@precisionanglingYT awesome. What were the specs of your drill from model to battery
Way faster. I haven’t tried the 85 kdrill. Looks like a pig here. Interesting how much faster it is.
Night and Day difference!!
I think the real question here is …. When are the 3 of you maine-iacs going to do a video together?? You.. Maine trout whisperer.. Joe Holland … don’t get no bettah than that!!!
@@Ryan-rx8ie I’m down. Overnight on the ice?
So, are the drills the same RPM and torque?
Different brand. Similar torque ratings. My octane is 1300 in lb. Joes Milwaukee is 1200.
How does the LF hold up to dirty ice?
Cant say I have experience drilling in dirty ice. But if your on dirty river ice, id give the advantage to the K Drill
@@precisionanglingYT have you spent time on the ice where the top layer is wind blown with sand deposits on it? If so how have the blades held up?
Lazers are the quickest dulling of all auger types. K drill is a chipper with will last longer than quite a few sets of lazers or the flat shavers. But there slower.
K drill all the way
Team Eskimo Pistol Bit
Probably a little closer than the LF
@@precisionanglingYT very close. Tad slower. But much smoother on breakthrough and lighter too. Cheaper replacement blades on the pistol and they last a bit longer in dirty ice but still dull quick.
K drlll cuts 8.5 inch hole Lite Flite only 8 so not completely apples to apples....
Definitely not apples to apples!! More messing around than anything
