I'm rebuilding the 01 model and i'm struggling so much with the long screw that holds the shockarm and the chainslider. Both nuts on each side of the shockarm are stuck. I've tried penetrating oil, torch, a breaker bar and an impacto wrench. Any help would be appreciated. Ty for your tutorials!
@@Fixyourdirtbike the bit at the bottom of the connecting arm to the linkage. Still feels like there is a little play in there. Better than it was but not ideal
There's no good way to remove the one bearing (the one with the shoulders). I eventually used wire cutters and a tiny screwdriver. Keep up the good work, you're videos are fast, clever, and spot on. Now, if you only did 50cc Cobra Sr. videos I'd stay glued to the channel!!!

Any chance you can show a 91 or newer cr500r linkage?
Dude, If I get my hands on a CR500 I'll buy a billboard.

Hi mate I did the linkage on my 98 cr250 today but I still have a very slight amount of play but not as bad as it was. Is this normal?
Which part still has play?
@@Fixyourdirtbike the bit at the bottom of the connecting arm to the linkage. Still feels like there is a little play in there. Better than it was but not ideal
Is the play side to side like it's missing a spacer, or up and down like its missing some needles in the bearing?
@@Fixyourdirtbike when I pull the back wheel up and down there is still a tiny bit of play
My 98 doesn’t have that roller at 4:32... I’m going to inspect the frame in a bit to see it got hacked off or something
Oh, yeah, you should definitely look into that. Without that roller, you can't get an accurate chain tension.
My bolt from the linkage won’t come out
Inch pounds?
it's 1/12th of a foot pound.
Having trouble with the bearings in the frame
Is the outer race stuck in the bore?
@@Fixyourdirtbike yeah man I finally got it at 2 am this morning it’s back together how can I send u pics

Those are on the 1998-2001 models.

Are you talking about the upper heim bearing?
