This song was a huge hit in Ghana. I was in Accra for about three months in 1975 and almost on every hour, GBC radio stations were playing it. Of course, this was before Sonny's militant days, musically, I mean. Sonny had the touch even from the beginning.

@emma15437 I think you are right that it was around 1974. It was a small plate with "Mercy" on the reverse side. He later went on to release "O'Jesu" and "Living Music" which were LPs.

Perry Ernest wrote and sang the song, however, Sonny Okosun is the artiste on record at the label that released the track- EMI.
