SONY OKOSUN a terminé sa carrière comme pasteur evangéliste. il composait maintenant des chansons réligieuses.il est décédé à l'age de 61 ans le 25 mai 2008 des suites d'un cancer du colon dans un hopital de WASHINGTON(USA).Avec sa disparition le NIGERIA en particulier(son pays d'origine)et l'AFRIQUE en général perdent un grand Homme de la culture musicale.
