I knew nothing about the plumbing but with the help of the video, I am able replace my faucet in 5 minutes. Lucky that I have chosen Delta, a product of great quality and easy installation. As an engineer, I think the engineer of Delta deserve a pay raise. Without the budget and time on a plumber, I can spend more on the faucet itself. My wife and I would like to say thank you! I am sure this is NOT the last Delta product at my home.
Hello Wayne. Thank you for your review of your Delta product! We are happy to hear about your experience. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us again. -Carrie
Delta's written installation instructions are HORRIBLE! I will look at these videos and make a hybrid installation, since my Delta Touch2O pull-down kitchen faucet didn't come with the foam piece mentioned early in this video. There is a similar-looking plastic ring, but it's never mentioned in the installation guide. Also the install guide does not even list all the different parts that come with the faucet! They want to save pennies by making 1 installation guide for 25 different faucets. What do expect for $300?
Hello John, Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced. Most of our Maintenance and Installation guides are universal and can be used for different faucets including yours. Since the guides can be used for different faucets, all parts mentioned will not apply to your faucet. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Feel free to reach back out with any further questions or concerns. -Kelley
Yep instructions are so bad that you don't know if you are missing parts or are supposed to mix and match the instructions with those parts that are included. For example, on page 4 of the instructions, we need and have parts 1 through 6, but don't have the parts for steps 7 and 8. We only have the parts shown on one of the diagrams of the previous page. We bought model #: 19962Z-SSD-DST and plan on returning it to the store. Any company that does this bad doesn't deserve the revenue!
@@deltafaucetDelta, I will NEVER buy your products again after today. Bought your faucet and the instructions are lackluster and HORRIBLE! Make unique instructions for EVERY model.
Not only are their instructions terrible, they got rid of braided steel water supply lines, which were MUCH easier to connect than PEX, but probably cost a few cents more. The tubes come with rubber rings at the end, but they also supply nylon washers and tell you NOT to use the rubber ones! But the nylon ones don't fit and they don't supply instructions or a clear video to explain. Delta used to be so good, but like Boeing, all that seems to matter is the bottom line.
Agreed. Worst instructions I've ever seen. I have parts with my faucet that aren't in this video. They are shown in the manual, but the drawing is terrible and there's nothing written about them. Who knows, but I will never buy another Delta product again.
Thank you for this video. My Delta Trinsic 9159-DST came without a part list and were otherwise very cryptic. The video has different parts than mine but at least shows the concepts which allowed me to eventually figure out the process. Outside the figuring out, this is a 30 minutes install. But the figuring out took me a couple of hours.
Same, spent a half hour trying to figure out why my install did not come with a foam washer at the beginning. Eventually found out mine came with a tiny black washer that the written instructions completely skipped over. Thanks you for the help!
The instructions that came with faucet have to be the worst I’ve seen with generic equipment with no list of parts and many of the parts in the instructions don’t correspond with the faucet. If they’re not going to give specific instructions and parts list they should at minimum give a QR code or link with specifics. I’ve installed several faucets and this was very easy, but I had to watch the video to understand the parts. You can do better Delta!
Hello Goldwinger, Thanks for contacting us. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with your installation guide. Our maintenance and installation guides are universal guides, to be used with multiple faucets. We apologize again for the trouble this may have caused. -Kelley
@@deltafaucet All other faucets brands I’ve bought had specific instructions with a parts list. Is it really that difficult to have model instructions and parts list instructions or a link? I guarantee who have schematics with parts from design engineers.
Good and clear video! The only addition I would add is with braze-on shut-off valves its a good idea to hold the valve body with a wrench while tightening the line. This can prevent stressing the soldered joint.
Installed the Charmaine model last week and used the 3-hole base plate (three holes in the sink). This model has the same mounting nut for the faucet as shown in the video. I hand-tightened it and then tightened the screws just as demonstrated here but the whole faucet is slightly wobbly. I have no way to do more than hand-tighten the nut, and I'm almost afraid of crimping the base plate if I did. Anyone else have the same issue? Is mounting the faucet on the baseplate instead of directly on the sink just inherently wobbly?
Excellent video, very helpful. How to fix dripping water out of Delta faucet? I did replace its cartridge but it continues dripping out of the faucet head. Please advise. Thanks
Mine looks different. There is no foam gasket, no washer, and there’s a weird square plastic piece. The included instructions don’t show all the parts.
I just purchased the Delta Marca Model # 19780Z-BLSD-DST. Want to do a single hole installation It doesn't come with the sticky gasket. A Q&A answer states to just attach to a single hole installation. But doesn't say if I should silicone it. There are gaskets in the box but there is no part image and description to let me know if I even have all the parts. I cannot for express my disappointment on how useless the manual is. Can you help please.
Hi Sapienrex, Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! A gasket should be included. The purpose of this gasket is to prevent water from outside the faucet from seeping under the base of the faucet and going under the deck into the cabinet. Silicone can also be used and many pro installers use silicone instead of a gasket. Hello Orit, Thank you for reaching out! We are happy to assist. The CHARMAINE™ Metal Lever Handle Kit MODEL#: RP82233RB requires an 1/8" Allen wrench to remove the RP72998 screw. Great video.....but a kitchen sink with no garbage disposal....that makes it look so much simplier! Also, instructions mention cutting the supply lines to length and not twisting them.
Totally agree with you on all you said. HORRIBLE instructions indeed! We just bought and installed a Delta kitchen faucet an hour ago. Missing parts and parts not even mentioned in the instructions. There was no foam disk for to make the gasket. 😢 Delta, you can do better! Written instructions were not the best. It appeared that we were missing a few parts, the video made the parts clear as to what we were really looking for. I wish they would cover everything that’s included in the box.

This would be even better if you included instructions for the escutchen, specifically whether it's a best practice to use silicone. Good job anyway, though this needs to be updated since the parts are different. Really awful how poorly written the instructions are that came with the faucet. Assumed Delta would have figured this out by now.

Written instructions are THE WORST. Best to go with the video although the video shows some different parts (hose weight and white gasket). Also, connect pullout hose BEFORE you turn on faucet to clear out air.
Fail. Despite what they said in the video and me having a very similar Delta faucet, mine came with different parts everywhere. And forget the instructions that came with it. Worst I have ever seen.

Nice video. Now tell me how to do this if I have 3 holes. I think I might be able to make the parts fit if I use my Dremel with a sanding drum. Your printed instructions suck! Instead of putting three languages on one sheet, make three sheets. It might cost you another 2 cents to do so, but I paid $180 for this faucet. Another 5 cents to get clear instructions would not lose you a sale. I would suggest hiring an average, non-professional, DIY homeowner to install your products and address their problems. I have been a professional contractor. If I have problems following your instructions, many other people will, too. The plastic piece that fits over the threaded brass tube doesn't fit over the tube.
