Hey, you actually did it.!! Didn’t really expect you to do a cover though because if I’m not mistaken you once said in a stream you’re not quite fond of the song.
A while back I commented on Juby's cover of this song that it "lacked soul." Something in her voice just wasn't there. She wasn't getting across the emotions behind the song like how she always does. Clearly that has nothing to do with the lyrics, because this blew me away.
To me, Juby's cover gave the impression of someone who no longer feels anything because of what they've been through; Numb. Meanwhile, Rachie's cover gave me more of the "I can't to accept this kind of reality" kind of vibe. I can't really say which one's better or which one is worse, since they strike me differently.
@@flyingeli1140 "No longer feeling anything" is ironically a very distinct feeling. If that was Juby's intention I don't think they did a good job of getting that across.
honestly, to me juby's covers focus mostly on translating and not the singing itself. it's heavily auto-tuned and sometimes the music takes over her voice. i don't think juby is that great at singing but since she's someone who has the most english covers on japanese/korean songs makes her popular as people want to hear the song in their own language.
the high notes are incredible, as well as the mixing and the tone of your voice (cynical, sort of condescending...it fits the song so well...!) i hope things at your irl job turn around soon TT take as long of a break as you need!!
