The fact that Ana’s sleep dart becomes gold but Ramattra’s arms don’t change is ridiculous
They were lazy with a lot of the skins IMO. Bastions used to be on the minigun when he was in that form and on the barrel of his cannon when in tank form. But now with the minigun it’s barely there, if at all when using OW1 model skins and his ultimate is a joke. It really wouldn’t have been hard.
I was hoping the entire nemesis form would go gold, but that's hoping for too much I guess

Echo's gold arms pop off on the Good and Evil skin. They totally belong on it

Some potential fixes to the… less good golden guns:
Orisa’s spear should be entirely golden. Making her gun more gold during her fortify wouldn’t make much of a difference, so at least having a full golden spear would be a nice side grade
Moira’s corrupt arm in its entirety could be dipped gold. It’s kind of hard to goldify any other part of her ‘weapon’, so the arm makes more sense
And dare I say it, Golden Hammond. Might not be able to see it in first person, but knowing we’re playing as a gold hamster is worth the 3000 comp points alone
They should make the purple stuff she has in her veins gold aswell
1) orisa spear is entirely green during gameplay, you cannot see it at all (or at most only in small fractions before it becomes green)
2) I can understand this one, moira’s arms are really hard to make a good weapon out of
3) golden hammond is literally a skin

id like moiras nail color to be gold, idk thats what i thoguht it would be at first and i feel like itd look nice
Sombra deserved the "Great" tier. The purple works so well with the black and gold. I think it looks awesome.

Not to mention that Sigma has golden hands along his weapon, but Hammond also has a golden cockpit alongside his guns (although i wish his ball form had something too).
I think you need to take another look at the gold Lucio gun my friend. Every gold gun in the game has the same kinda shimmer that flashes every couple seconds, but Lucio's gold gun flashes green and yellow to go with his music, absolutely beautiful.
Also, Samul Nori Lucio's golden weapon is the absolute best one in the game IMHO. The colors just work so perfectly well, it's like it was made for the golden skin.

I understand what y’all mean and as a lucio main and gold weapon owner it’s kinda mid. He literally has a golden skin already so as much as I love it I think it’s pretty bad. Same case as orisa’s fortify.
He should relook at Brigitte and kiriko’s weapons because the shield, hammer and kunai are great

As a tank main I totally agree with this but I think sigma and wrecking ball weren’t fairly judged because sigma’s shield turns gold too and you can see the gold shield pieces on his other arm and when it’s deployed. Wrecking ball gets his entire control panel golden. I agree that he should have something more since there’s no gold in his ball form but at least he has a lot of gold in first person that the gun previews don’t show
Hammonds High Roller skin with the golden guns is a flex though. And easily brings it to decent imo.
As a Hammond main I agree the combo is fire
In defense of Moira, I really like the golden nails. They fit well with the purple arm.

I never understood why they didn't turn Moira's back piece gold too, instead of just her acrylics.
Back when she was released, only her nails turned gold. They changed it due to community pressure

What are you even saying, Moria's nails are amazing. Not just a lump of gold like echo, or a whole golden gun which is kinda boring but just a nice flashy detail. Definitely one of my favorites.

I typically don't rock the golden weapons even with the characters I own them with. The shiny gold looks a little tacky on a lot of costumes, and on occasion I like swapping costumes depending on the map we are on. However I actually really like the look of Kiriko's golden weapons. It's not overly flashy and over the top. But it's there just enough so you can see it. It's probably one of my favorite looking ones.

true, and biz's main complaint is the paper, though some skins do get quite gold which is very cool
I recently bought Sigma's and was pleasantly surprised. The golden gun screen is misleading. His gauntlets are golden, the solid corners of the shield are golden, as well as the actual spheres. Definitely a pretty solid one.
Sigma's golden gun comes with his entire gauntlet being gold along with the spheres, so it should def be higher imo.
Echo and moira gold are absolutely fire

Sigma's gold gun is literally upgraded version of echo and moira's golds, you get golden hands like echo + golden balls like zenyatta and as a bonus corners of your shield becomes golden as well. It looks clean with his winter skin.
It would be amazing if the gold’s worked more like mythic skins. So you can choose what parts are gold, whether that’s the main base, accents or glowing affects (imagine if Orisa’s spear could glow gold instead of green)
torb and symettra need gold turrets
Turrets are meant to remain unseen as long as possible. Giving them gold gun effect would kinda defeat the point

What I always hated was that Ashe gets the absolute best treatment of golden guns. She gets a completely golden bob + both her weapons while my Widowmaker poison mine is still normal... as if that's fair treatment

Echo’s golden arms are creative and really pop with the new skins she’s been getting
With Moira unfortunately it's very skin dependent, I find that both of her archive skins look really good with the gold (Blackwatch and Scientist) but I get where you're coming from. But Sigma should be in perfect imo, it's not just the hyper spheres that turn gold, his arms also turn gold and the borders of his shield which look great.

in bastions new gingerbread skin, he has a golden cannon aswell as repair arm, you can see the gold repair arm when you go into assault mode and say hello

The transition to gold for ashes gun was so clean
As a Sigma main, I know his isn't much but trust me his looks so much better in gameplay, you always notice the gold and his hands/gloves/wrists(depending on the skin)become golden too

They did Ramattra dirty tbh. Id love to see either golden fists or the entire nemesis form being golden
It really depends on the skin they use but this is a solid list for default skin golds

Sombra has been getting better gold guns lately and especially on her Zhulong and Aztec skin, the good guns are FIRE!
As a ball main I have the golden gun and with the ow 1 skin it looks amazing! But with the submarine skin there’s almost everything covered in gold. Personally I would put it on amazing

Hanzo's contagious gold arrows (people killed by them get their own weapons goldified for the match) puts it in Bugged tier

Lucio’d gold gun with space prince, gold frog, or jazz skin is really good.
ramattra’s nemesis form fits with the golden staff for the tier 70 free skin
Interesting opinions
I really wanna get gold for some of my heroes but whenever I play competitive my entire team does not work together at all while the entire enemy team is destroying us and its annoying and makes it not worth it so I probably won't ever get them despite how much I love them
I wish some of these characters had gold on their arms/members, like echo. I think sigma deserves golden gloves or at least golden details plus golden experimental barrier. Symetra should get some gold on her hands too. Also zen NEEDS a golden foot. Just one. For kicking
Lucio needs more love as the shine changes with the crossfade
Wrecking ball’s controls when your in crab mode are also gold- which I think puts him in amazing imo
Like it totally comes down to the skins. Like the Rose and Grafitti Skins for tracer look beautiful with gold guns. I personally like reapers Lucios and tracers

Sigmas gold covers his forearm gauntlets and shield but for some reason the game doesn’t show that until you see it in game.
Moira’s are either you love it or hate it and I personally love the golden nails
for heros who use their arms as weapons or something attacked to their body, make the gold look like their arms got covered in it and not like they took a paintbrush to get specific areas (like the fortnite characters from chapter two turning gold as you got a higher level)
Bastion's isn't that bad, yes, it doesn't make sense like dva but in game it looks really cool to me, and you're not going to see you're ult that much, and i love the golden minigun
what about Junkrats kamikaze wheel and the mines? Aren't they gold too?
For Mercy I don’t use it on her Legendary summer skin because it will be to much on the gold side because the staff and gun already have gold but it’s good on like DR.Ziegler,Pink and a few others
As soon as you put Moira’s on bad, your credibility went out the window for me.
As a kiriko main, I agree with you on the ofuda being fully gold but at least the kitsune that you see during her ult should be gold, if not the whole ult of a team kiriko (enemy kiriko with gold weapons still would have a red ult).
Sigmas is actually really good. Because it changes his glove and armpiece gold too. Which compliments a lot of skins
That's why I use Moira's Scientist or Blackwatch skins, the golden weapons actually looks a little better.
They really should've made Wrecking Ball's entire ball gold. His is just unnoticeable.
Heck, making his arm cannons all gold would be sick, but Imagine an animation where turning from his attack form to ball form caused the gold on his arms to spread across the entire mech. It'd be so good
The shield border also becomes gold with Sigma, so I think it gets at least a tier or 2 up
u missed something on ramattra's golden, while u have golden gun on ramattra the ball shines golden instead of the deafult purple, they gave it a recolour to the animation (not the bullets, just the ball and the spinning particle)
The gingerbread bastion skin actually gets golden tank, only waited until nobody could see it before finally doing it tho

With Kiriko’s new mythic skin, the paper is gold, so I’ll definitely be wearing that one a lot!
Id put zens in the perfect tier cuz if you have the nutcracker skin equiped you have golden nuts
If you use Huang Zhong with hanzo and equip the gold bow , it looks amazing
One thing I find lacking is you don't mention how these weapons are in the 1st person perspectives, I find it equally if not more important than the 3rd person perspective.

Dude sigma has one of the best golden guns , you may not see it like in genjis case but he also gets golden gauntlets, they look sick in every skin and pop up a lot i live it in the frost skin
For Bastion they changed the Artillery form to become full gold when ulting
why is monochrome yellow good? like you want gold papers for kiriko so you have more piss on your screen? and you said sojourn's gun is one time it benefits from not being all gold what? there is no way piss yellow is peak cosmetics the skins that make it so its not all gold is what makes the golden guns good

I hate how only one thing in orisa’s entire collection changes her spear
