Focus on the inside ball of the foot … land from the inside and push… such a simple explanation and easy to process and execute. It is game changing advice.
This video made me shout "AHA" out loudest. After watching this video, I went to grab a club and followed it. And I knew that this would change my ball striking forever. Great, and thank you so much.
Billy this is so good and is a fundamental I will practice. That press forward ( land) is the key to so many aspects of the swing. Thanks for the reminder.
Just accidentally found this. Watched it 3 times. I think no coaches explained this transition move better...the holy grail in golf. Thanks a million. I clicked subscribe and will watch again many more times.
They should make replacements cleats for golf shoes that are made taller than the the originals that way u can put them on your right side of the left shoe giving you an angle so your inside part of the foot is angled into the ground.
You are by far the best instructor on TH-cam. I’ve been speed training for months and this explanation helped me so much. I was sliding all over the place.
Thanks for the compliment and watching Cody. Yes this fits right into creating speed from the ground. A few weeks ago I put out a video about using ground forces instead of shifting your weight that might benefit you as well.
Feeling like recently you’ve been just reading my mind. Just subscribed! I’ve been always having issues with sliding. Been implementing the thought of trying to keep my weight from going outside my foot. Hitting straight shots but I’ve been having issues falling back from pushing off the lead leg. What would you recommend to help me stay balanced in the follow through?
Hi mattaue thanks for subscribing and watching. Typically when you fall ball (which a lot of good players to in there own way) your still pushing back when the momentum of the club has started to go away from the target in the follow through. If you stop pushing back after impact the momentum of the club will pull you forward. Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I can’t seem to get right.
First make sure you’re close enough to the ball so you can push away from it. Remember your feet are using the ground to guide your hips
