10/10 - my life will never be the same. I’m absolutely no better at golf but my wife declared “this is the last straw” and took the kids upstate to stay with her mother when she walked in on me scooting around our living room while I squealed like a school girl. LGLG

11/10 - Everything about my life has changed because of this move. Not only am I seeing more power in my golf swing, but I am now using ground forces in every day life. I am pushing off from the kitchen floor when beating my eggs on the morning, and my scrambled egg efficiency has increased tenfold. I am now more open to my target when weed whacking my lawn, which has created some interesting weedeater string divots in my Bermuda, but the HOA is no longer unhappy with my overgrown weed situation. Ground forces have led to new, interesting angles of lovemaking and my wife has never been happier.

WOW. Thank you!!! I've been trying for YEARS to figure out how to "use the ground" in my swing. I never understood it. For 40 years ALL my weight has always ended up on my right foot after every swing. I had no idea how people (long drivers) swung a golf club with their left foot coming off the ground. After watching the first minute of this video and seeing the rolling chair .. I got it!!! I just turned 50 and I've been playing for 40 years. Im a +1 but never been able to get over 100 swing speed. Got on trackman after seeing this and hit 107!! I haven't been this excited in years 😂😂. Thank you for simplifying this for me!

I know golf instructors will often say “use the ground” but I think that message is misunderstood and I never truly realized how hard I needed to push with my left foot till now. This lesson is a game changer for myself and others. Thanks for putting this out there, would love to see a follow up. Great job guys!

To say this video changed my life would be an understatement, before this video I would hit high, weak fades or overcompensate with hard snap hooks. After seeing this video it’s like a light shown down from the heavens and I was a new man. This afternoon I went out on the course, hit a few balls to warm up and while doing this the ball sounded different, it sounded like a real golf shot! I was hitting it further, purer (Lenny… queue the piercing trajectory music). I went out to play a quick 9 holes, but after 4 holes I was even… and felt like I had something. I didn’t have a miracle round, but I did shoot one of my best scores of my life. The driver is the weakest part of my game, but using this method made my driver a weapon today - I could count on where the ball would go, and I hit more fairways and hit it longer than I have. This was incredibly helpful and made today a great day! Can’t wait for my next round, hopefully with my new driver from Titleist!

The feeling of slamming on the handbrake and posting up on the lead leg is the most vital move in the swing. It is pure power. This turned me from a 4-5 handicap to a consistent +2.
1:28 is just beautiful rotation. Pure power and speed right there. Ball strikers’ dream. ❤

I tell the people on Reddit about this feeling. I don't take credit for it, but I can't imagine being new or intermediate golfer in learning to play and this tip not helping a great deal, especially when it's adults learning in their spare time. I was fortunate to have a lot of time I could devote to it as a teenager. It's such a great tip to get golfers to understand what needs to happen in the downswing.

Thank you for reminding me why my longest flat drive was 290 starting this year and who I have found the shanks. I stood up and pushed back and up on my left foot and the rythmn returned instantly. I often tell new golfers to not go down the TH-cam rabbit hole because it's too much. They need to learn the foundation and go from there. I know about lift and driving my feet into the ground. Trapping and grip and all that. I'm crisp at times and unpolished on certain shots. Was a short game beast around the green today. Chipping within 3 for up and downs. Found some fairways with this weird push right when I normally have a slight fade when it all works. I call it timing, or synching, but you are dead right when you said left leg. My buddies newbie girlfriend said I wasn't rotating🤦 20 years in on this crap and she was right. I've been so focused on shot shape, and the hard iron shots that are awesome to hit, that I have left my game naked. I now firmly believe that the rabbit hole, is where you should live to stay on top of you game. I learned grip adjustments and was reminded of the basics. We play with the clubs in the bag and the game we brought that day. Adjusting in the moment is key. Problems without solutions cause bad scores.

Currently, this video ranks a solid 10/10 on the life-changing meter. As we all know, I am in the stage of this TH-cam swing video where I believe I have stumbled upon the secret golf tip I've been searching for my whole life. And you know what? I genuinely think this might be the one...
Now, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible journey Mike has undertaken in this podcast. It wasn't too long ago that one of his season goals was to ban all viewing of TH-cam videos. And now, here we are, witnessing a full circle moment. Could it be possible that he's now creating the very videos he once swore off? The irony is simply delicious!

Picked up 10 yards on my irons instantly. I just spoke with Art Vandelay, my importer and exporter to secure the finest wide base stool with rollerblade wheels to perfect my training. Add this to my list of increasing purchases based on your recommendations: Adam young strike plan, fit for golf app, stack system, golf metrics, the neck pillow, my goodr glasses and vuori clothes. (20 / 10 ) Lenny, “Cue the Country Western Music.”
Mike and Eli, let me start by saying I was listening to the podcast and stopped it halfway through your conversation with Dr. Greg to go watch this monumental video in aspirations of this changing my game with one video. I am currently an 18 handicap and have set a goal to get to a 13 before the end of this golf season.
So, I’m sitting in my office on Thursday morning, sending out some quotes “swish, swish”, listening to the pod, then watching the video. I then all the sudden find myself rolling across the office in my chair trying this new move. The sensation of this feeling has me itching to get to the range at lunch which I was already planning to do. I leave early for lunch and shoot over to my local range. I’m calculating the 4 forces of my golf swing on the way over trying to make sure I understand them before I put this move into practice. Keep in mind I have a match in our golf league on Friday afternoon. Earlier in the week I went to the range and was just hitting fairway finders with my driver, so I was confident going into Friday to say the least. After the first several swings with a seven iron I channel my inner Mike and say “I think I just figured out golf.”
    Lenny, “Cue the Undertaker Music.”
The irons slowly start to get worse and worse. Trying to deny the inevitable I push through to driver thinking this is about to be the life changer I need. As the driver comes out the balls begin to spray. This range session turned into a straight suicide. Bomb, Shank, Slice, Rope hook, Duck hook, Top. My OFP went from a 7 to a -7 in a matter of ten minutes. The best thing I could have done was Palmeroed this session. I would have saved my mental state and confidence in any athletic ability that I have. Covered in sweat, I shamefully walked back to the truck and got my phone out….. opened up my golf group chat and admitted my dark dive into TH-cam and trying this new move. I begin to ask my group to never let me implement a move into my swing that isn’t coming from a coach. Seem familiar?
So next day I only pull driver twice in my 9 hole round because it was so bad. Ninja slice first drive and I cant even describe the second... Had to pull out the ole trusty 5 wood.
In saying all of this. Mike… your fellow TH-cam addicts ask that this video be taken down. No, the fix is not for us to quit trying every TH-cam fix, listen to our coaches, only make changes in the offseason, and quit trying every training aid. The fix is just take it down. Rolling around on a stool almost sounds as bad as Eli worrying about the angle of his Velcro.
Huge impact on me, but can’t say it was for the better. So it definitely was a life changer just in a negative way. Hope to implement down the road but now was not the time.
    Love the podcast and videos!

Im a self taught golfer which badically means I watched every athletic motion golf video etc to understand the mechanics and film myself. However that approach sometimes puts me into a too robotic mode where I think I need to hit these positions and the tempo and smoothness goes out of the window. This video shows me how important good intuitive coaching is as I tried these things on the video and it automatically changed my swing forever. Thanks!

10/10 - There I was going through my work emails ("swish, swish"), when I got an unexpected text from my buddy encouraging me to watch this video. Here's part of his message: "Rob, do you want to hear a scary story? Greg's video basically saved my life. I was literally in the gutter and it was gambling, drugs, women, and lotto (well that's basically gambling). I was looking the grim reaper in his eyes...and then I was saved by watching this video." You can imagine the emotions running through me when I received that text. Inspired by my favorite "football" coach, I immediately responded that, in an act of solidarity I would watch the entire video without using my hands (which apparently is perfectly legal). Anyhow, I give this life-saving video a 10 only because I can't give it an 11! Greg is an excellent teacher and I have a knowingness inside of me that this will also help me with my 2-way misses.

I already avg 4 - 5 birdies a round, so I was skeptical about this technique offering my game anything special.. so I did a field test on my local 9 hole course.. I was wrong.. first I took it to the range until I got the feel.. then out to the course where I gained 20 yds or more on every drive.. even a 325 yds drive to a par 4 green!! This made it a lot easier to shoot even lower scores, easily getting up and down with my short game.. The result, my best round ever there with an 8 under 25!! just missing one, putt on a par 3.. which just grazed the right edge.. Thank you, Dr. Rose! Wow, I am on a golf high all day.. I am usually worn out hitting 280+ drives all day.. my usual is, 250 carry and 277.. but Damn! the title says it all, it's a game changer.. and u can shape the shots and control trajectory as well.. by timing or applying varying degrees of the 4 driver swing components, but only thing this video does not focus on are: compression, angle of attack and swing path which are equally important to getting the most out of these type of shots shots and taking ur game to another level.. the science and physics is solid.. it is truly and legit method / revelation!

8/10 life changing. The left foot technique was awesome to watch and learn, the two point deduction is due to my husband annoying me every day about commenting on this video. I can't wait to win the driver, never let him use it, and then start my own podcast about how I became a scratch golfer with a TSR Titleist driver. Thanks!

10/10 - Usually training tips and tricks videos never make any sense to me, its always some sort of gimmicky thing. Definitely always trying to sell something, some aid or whatever. Only to be disappointed after spending money on some useless product. Never in a million years did I think pushing off with the left foot would make so much sense. Truth be told, I probably should have stopped buying stuff was sooner.
Warped my ENTIRE perception of ground forces in the swing! Admittedly I'm not the best golfer (20-ish handicap), but this moves makes so much sense. Normally I am pushing with the right foot but getting on my office chair and pushing was CRAZY. Tomorrow I am definitely pushing off the rotary chairs (never knew they were called that) in the office.
Thanks a TON for putting this video out. Helpful, informative, short and sweet. It's AWESOME. Surprised I have never seen stuff like this before.
So I guess that's the comment. Move over me and my golf, it's the Dr. Greggers show now. Onward to lower handicaps! Keep fighting. Eventually you'll read the first letter of every sentence...

10/10 this will change my life. What I needed in my golf game was to get to the top of my backswing and then think shift, tilt, twist, jump while hitting a tennis forehand shot. I have played my buddy for 10 years and never beaten him but he’s living on borrowed time now! Lord please no rain this weekend, I’ve got a business trip to take care of on the course.

This is a phenomenal video - Dr. Greg explains it so clearly. I've had the same issue with my swing - the upper body twist before the R+R and jump (if I was even doing the jump at all), with early extension, being too steep, and a two-way miss. Amazing how pushing back with the lead foot helps shallow the arms and speeds them up. Great stuff.

Ok, so I've listened to every single episode of your podcast and there have been a few round-changing, weekend-changing and even practice-changing episodes.
This video though, THIS drill, this is LIFE CHANGING! Like, I respect that your scale goes from 1-10, but this one is special. This one goes to 11. Right across the board. 11. You're at a 10 with your swing, where else can you go? Nowhere. This is that extra push over the cliff.
Not only did I realize what my left foot is really for in the swing, I realized I've been training for this moment my entire life! Now I just need to feel it. That chair push that I've been doing since the first time I sat in a chair with wheels. This one goes to 11.
Kudos to Craigers, Yeah to Neil, Attaboy to Gary.

So a lot of people commented on this to try and win a driver. But here is a real comment after the give away.
My driver sounds different. I’m a single digit handicap, that would tell you driver and driving distance is a strength. I don’t have a stool to practice pushing off on, but the idea behind it. The process of using left foot/heel. Took my early extension habit (that I’ve been trying to get rid of) away. More rotation and straighter center face drives.
So thank you Mike and Eli for inspiring us to get better and thank you TPI, for giving people the tools to actually get better.

Rating this an 8.5/10. As an international super-villain, I've oft struggled with an ability to dramatically turn around in my chair when one of my nemesis enter my lair. I've tried ad nauseam to get the chair turn JUST right to impose both brooding and the right level of pizzazz. Dr Greg Rose's instructions have really helped deliver the effect I have searched for, and I look forward to my next run in with Inspector Gadget. Sincerely, Dr Claw. LGLG.

This one move is something i focused on before for one range session and that session was fantastic, then i completely forgot what i was doing. This video just reminded me and ive just been to the driving range. 7 irons gone from avg 155 to 169. Driver has gone from 235 avg to 260-270 and remarkably better dispersion. Felt absolutely fantastic and balls felt like they rocketed! Managed to get 155 ball speed with driver where im normally getting 139-142
    10/10 would bang

I prefer a scale of 5, so this video is a 10 out of 5. From the moment Mike pushed his foot in the swivel chair I had a flash to that sensation. So many happy moments in my life have been aggressively pushing across a room in a swivel chair.
I, like mike, have suffered from squeezing the towel. But from the first five seconds i realized something that's changed me. Inside.
I can't wait to take this to the course tomorrow.

6.8/10 (PCC -1). Always love a good swing tip and move I can work on in a swivel chair. As far as life changing, somewhere between getting married, whatever Sarah MacLachlan is trying to accomplish with all those sad animal videos, and the way I feel every time Rocky takes down Ivan Drago to avenge Carl in Rocky IV.

I have been playing golf for 55 years and during that time heard “use the ground” and “post-up on your left leg” but never had anyone give me a tactile example of what that means until now. Though the brain still thinks in terms of a teenager (just ask my wife), this injured 62-year-old body has lost strength/ flexibility and hence distance. Anything that can bring back some distance combined with consistency can’t be measured on a simple scale of one to ten - if you need a number, put me down for a ten.
Dr. Rose great job in converting some nebulous thoughts into physical actions.

I have been struggling with an outside in move this year. I have always been a right to left player and suddenly I was fading/slicing and starting the ball left. These couple of visualization ideas are going to transform my swing immediately. My swing thought to address this before now was to really think about dropping my hands down from the top, but I was not clearing my left hip out, so everything got stuck. I was trying to figure out a swing feel/thought that would help me clear that hip but I haven't been able to do that consistently. Now that I see this heel pivot, I've got my visual image and my swing feel. Gonna need a lot of repetition, but I can see it now. Practice range, here I come.

8/10 Overall great stuff, I would love to see more episodes like this, it's insight for those of us who will never realistically be able to go to TPI.
I would like to also say, this Federer move really sounds a lot like Eli's beautiful mind tangent about where the velcro needs to be, he was right all along.
Going to be implementing this tomorrow on day 1 of our member-guest, new things always work for me before big rounds and i'm not superstitious but i am a little stitious.

To give this video a number on a scale would be an injustice. 10/10 does not accurately portray how different I will be after this moment. Would Lando put a number value on the day he lost the falcon? Would Chubbs rate the day he met Happy Gilmore? No this day is more than that. I will only refer to this moment as BS/AS, before Stool and after Stool. This has not just given me a new swing feel, this has made me a new person. A person who is marginally better at Golf.
