This was so helpful to know that we as the parents should be learning from her too in order to bring it to life. Thank you!

I enjoyed this so much. I decided today to give Ms Rachel a chance because my 19 month old isn’t speaking much. I know he understands a lot but his mouth doesn’t know how to make the sounds. I had her on the TV and would do the responses and sing alongs with her while my son just watched lol. It’s reassuring to know how good of a resource she is, especially if I learn to reenforce her strategies and engage with him. I also learned that my constant asking him to try and say certain things isn’t helping haha.

my child learned all the ABC's and. counting 1- 20 and shapes and colors and animals and he ❤ looking at her face and smiles and claps when she cones on tv. She does excellent close up. It appears as if she is in the house with you.

I am a Filipino preschool teacher and we have to be an actor in front of the kids, so they can have fun and at the same time learn... so seeing Ms. Rachel... I can relate to her but she is also giving me some pointers... as well as your videos here in youtube... My son is speech delayed and he had undergone speech therapy for 3 months. Only to find out what the therapist been teaching him, I am also teaching my kids. So now I am doing some research on how to help my son on his speech.. I am currently now in process of teaching him on phrases and sentences. Thank you for your videos. It's a big help for my being a teacher and a mother. More blessings to you and your group.

The more my kids watch Ms. Rachel, the more they express anger and angry faces and say things like "it's okay to be mad!" and "I want juice!" 😱... When they watch shows like Holy Sprouts, my kids express more joy and respect. Now they say "Can I have juice, please?" ❤

My 3 year old is the same. He's been watching her since one year old. I think he watched her a bit too much without us interacting with him. I believe he learned some things from it. But it might have been harmful as well, because he watched it too much for too long by himself. I am now using interactive play with him and I to teach him to understand language.

👋New grama here. Im new to TV for learning. Im retired from 27 years with deaf and autistic children and have a non verbal son with autism, so Im a bit high energy too😂. Miss Rachel and Catie's Classroom along with Cocomelon are the ones i allow and use. I incorporate everything they do into my one-on-one play throughout our day. And of course i also sing a lot from old Sesame Street😊

    • @aishidove
      @aishidove ปีที่แล้ว +5

I do not think you should use Cocomelon. In alot of the videos, it has examples of a child refusing to brush his teeth, eat his veggies, and other things that children shouldn't be taught to refuse and throw tantrums at (Saying no to something is completely ok, but not when said thing is necessary for the child's growth and health).
I will not force you to not use Cocomelon. It is your child, and you decide what to use. I just wanted to leave advice, because Cocomelon does not have the best examples.

My baby was obsessed with blues clues at first now it's ms rachel I wish I found out about her sooner. My 2yr old is autistic and she's learned more from her than me it's like my baby shys away from doing it when I do it for some reason but she's the best thing as far as screen time I've came across. People are coming at ms rachel. She's on here doing things to help people as opposed to showing her body or dancing or pranks 🙄

Thank you so much for this review my granddaughter loves her and i was worried if it was bad to watch all the time. i am worried about her she is 16 months old and doesn't respond to her name.only words she has is mamma dadda and nanna.she always wants my hands when she wants something she will grab my hand .she is not walking as she fell before and after that she seems to be scared she can walk she just gets scared . i also noticed she stands on her tip toes .my daughter is waiting to get her assessment done as she was told shes still to young. I am just worried about her .i know every child is different but its like i can see some signs in certain things she does.i would just love to learn what things we could be doing to help her as she is a very smart baby .and she loves ms rachel she does copy her sometimes like clapping and peek-a-boo . Thank you so much for this . I love all your videos sending love from Dublin Ireland 💚🇮🇪💚

Thanks for reviewing this. All her videos are flagged as being kid-only so there are no comments. Nobody can say "hey this works" or "hey you're worse that hitler".
Her videos seem annoying but that's obviously because I'm not the target audience. Kids love annoying stuff like Baby Shark.

My son has watched Miss Rachel from his early months…and he has yet to say his first word. I feel like she’s hindered him somehow. Not HER directly but just the fact that she’s on a screen.

Agreed! I stopped miss Rachel altogether a couple months ago and now toddler is saying far more words. I’ve also reduced total tv time and we have no tv days, it’s hard but I implore you to consider that screen time is more damaging than helpful and to reduce or stop x

I am Miss. Rachel all day! Trust me but what do you do when your partner is the complete opposite? No, matter what I say or the more I ask and beg "Plzzz you have to talk/play with our girls? Watch a TH-cam show to guild you, I cant be the only one doing it all". because yea it does get tiring but anything for my girls. Its very frustrating.
So tips for MR "TOO COOL". I am constantly learner for my girls. Here I am watching your videos while working at my computer and my girls sleeping. Sorry for the rent but ugh I just don get "some" men sometimes. TIPS WELCOME. ChatGPT told me to complement the good things he does and work from there. LOL WHAT GOOD THINGS? jkjk. Great videos. I subscribed to your email too. :)

What does he like to do? Try to get him to do it with the girls in a way that he can teach them about it. Sometimes guys just don’t know what to do with girls 😆 You seem really caring so don’t give up on us!

Cool, Kids learn more from thier own parents and siblings talking to them. Parents shouldn't be replaced by a TH-cam star or education just used sometimes for a fun learning video but not rely for your child's development. Also fun tip you can film yourself doing for example haircuts getting a haircut kids lovvvve watching themselves just a fun twist instead of always relying on aomone else's videos all the time

I feel like a lot of parents use Ms Rachel as a resource, but IMO children learn best from in person interaction. I’m not saying her concepts don’t work, but watching Ms Rachel won’t teach your child to talk to people in real life. Not talking to a woman on a screen. I think if parents watch her videos on their time and implement it with their kids, just like this man has said. Also screen time isn’t good for your kids. I just had a baby a few months ago, and won’t show her a screen till she’s one a half maybe two and when I do, she’ll only have an hr. It’s sad parents show their kids screens for hours on end bc it benefits them. It’s sad. This generation will be screwed. 😊

There may be other reasons for that.... My child has mild speech and language delay and has just started saying daddy clearly from watching this. She didn't repeat it when we we're doing it, so it's better than nothing. Think she's even directing it towards her daddy too. She's 23 months old and ranging at 18 months for speech and language/communication.

Yea my baby won't copy me but if I have ms rachel on when I'm cleaning and I poke my head in I see her copying ms rachel and she gets so excited 😂 I also sit in there and sing along and help my baby was tested for autism and they reassured me it wasn't from screen time.

I personally believe that as a parents it’s our responsibility to teach our child and not relying on kids television show to teach them.
I love to sing and had been singing nursery rhymes and abc songs from the time the kids were born and it really helped them with their language development.
Coming from a teching background , I also know that every kid develops differently and what works for one would not work for the other.
