Fell in love with the Rogue from the first time I saw one and then had one a few weeks later. It is a blast to ride and I get out on it every chance I can. Good review and video!
Thanks man glad I was able to pass along the info in a way that an owner agrees. Its a good bike ! It feel like well designed for sure. Its a solid Bike.
@@NostalgicMotorcycles Yeah the Sportster S has a badass modern futurist look that I seriously appreciate. Cruisers have looked the same for 50 years practically, especially Harley Davidsons. To have the Sposter S come in and finally mix things up is great!
I agree. That’s why I got it. It was very different engine is up to modern standard and it makes 600 super sport power in a cruise. It’s awesome for sure.
They are good man. This was the first Indian I have ever ridden and I think it was good. From the guys that worked there. They are using victory designs on the modern Indians instead of self competing they are essentially blending what they feel is the best of both.
I started on a Honda monkey and a year later bought my 2023 Indian scout rogue and I love everything about it. Going from 9 horsepower to 100 was a smooth transition and every time I get off my scout I think damn that's my bike. I couldn't be happier!
Bought my scout on facebook marketplace several month back. It's awesome. I've bought and sold a few bikes but I plan on holding onto this one. I initially bought it because I like riding my indian chief to seattle and back home to san diego on a fairly frequent basis and the scout was meant to be a stripped down bobber for raising hell near home. After some very minor modifications, I've come to appreciate not just the raw performance of the scout's engine but also it's potential for massive versatility. There may be a ride in the future in which I ride my scout to seattle.
It’s not bad man. It’s an awesome bar hopper but it’s fairly comfortable as well given you tour it out a little with screen and better king distance seat. It really is versatile
Indian is a far better bike for much cheaper. Harley is gouging customers for years and now finally there is a better option. Here in Canada Harleys are around 25-40% more in price for a worse bike.
@NostalgicMotorcycles I changed my read shocks to the Fox adjustable, changed exhaust, air intake and tuned it. Still far cheaper then the harley comparison. My bike rips now. Tons and tons of fun. I wouldn't take it on long trips but awesome for around town or couple hour burns.
The new Scouts debut April 24. Meanwhile I have one and I can give you two absolute necessary upgrades; an LED headlight and some aftermarket rear shocks, such as Progressive 444s. I suggest you roll those two into the purchase. Indian makes piggyback shocks for about $1000 but I think the aftermarket ones are better. Be careful on aftermarket exhausts as these Scouts get real loud. Consider using a 1 inch hole saw to cut out the first baffles in the stock pipes. You can see that on a TH-cam video. You can go from there.
Dude awesome feedback ! I actually use progressive springs in my magna and they are solid for sure ! Obviously different bike but I know the brand. And loud isn’t a problem for me 😜😜
My man. When you put an intake, 2 into 1 and a llyods tune. Its a totally different beast. I have the 78 hp scout 60 and i can take 2nd gear to 75 mph if need be lol.

Otherwise listen up: Test ride multiple times before making your decision. If the bike fits as is, great. I preferred the classic version over the Rogue or Bobber. For most riders, they need to make a few mods. to get it "right". I personally would never pay over 10K for a Scout unless all my requirements have already been done. I'm 6 ft. 220lb. and my first long Texas backroads ride had me hating this bike and wanting to sell it. The rear shocks/seat were terrible.( I only test rode it maybe 5 miles) Mine had the "fastback" type seat with the stupid metal bracket that hits the tailbone. Now that I've spend a few thousand dollars to "get it right", I couldn't imagine paying retail of 13-15K and doing all these upgrades. That's why my recommendation would be to buy used. The Scouts are not complicated with electronics and are pretty reliable and there a lots of them on the used market.

Good review video! I feel like you didn’t really ring it out, with a red line around 8k, it really wakes up after 3300 rpm. It is a screamer! I agree on the RPM gauge, it should be standard (but is available). I agree on the comparison to the Sportster S. When your riding position is that different, it feels different before you even get into the engine capability. It will be interesting to see if Indian addresses that with a sporty package with mid controls or rear sets with the new Scout.
It’s a brand new bike I can say I did not fully ring it out as the bike is not even fully broken in but I did get to full throttle and revd it to about 7k so I was close. Thank you very much for the feedback I’m glad you enjoyed it !! Seriously means a lot. I do not think the new scout will compare still. Honeslty aside from being short the sportster S has a neo cafe esc vib (I know it’s not) but it really doesn’t check the cruiser box like the scout does. Not bad same bike, different engine. I would think with your height and weight you should go for the 1100. You’re going to want to extra power down the line. They will both handle slow speed the same. But you obviously have to be comfortable in yourself. If you are I think the 60 will be disheartening in a few months given your size.

This is the bigger engine one. 100%
@NostalgicMotorcycles interesting, I thought the black heads were only available on the rogue 60 I prefer those heads over the Chrome ones, i didn't know it was an option. 🤟
@@SicSemperTyrannisSST I am not sure if that is year dependent. It may have been that way in years past. But its a good look for sure I prefer that to chrome.
Caviar on 2 wheels 🤌
Its a beautiful ride my man. Thank you again and nice meeting you. Looking forward to making some more happen in the future.
Personally I think the rogue and the street bob is a closer type of bike
100% agree for sure on that one
Nah it would be the Nightster and Scout.
Street bob would be in competition with the Chief comparison wise.
@@callumsmith338 lol I mean ya I can see how that would be a point of comparison.
