    For under 10k my friend got a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec with 86k miles. They come stock with 429HP, 376 lb-ft, 8 speed automatic, plus it's a V8, and 0-60 4.8 sec eh not too bad.
    But the only problem it weighs 4046lbs. No worries take off some unnecessary stuff it can weigh 3900lbs or maybe less. Her Mustang is nice, personally I'd rather drive something that no-one would expect to be quick.

    • @LeaveNoTrashBehind
      @LeaveNoTrashBehind 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Nathan Smith Oh you got the 4.6 one, still a sweet car. No one would expect that car to move, I'd rather have that luxurious quick car over a Mustang anyday. Dude long tube headers, cold air intake, exhaust system, coilpacks, and a tune would get it at 400hp which isn't bad at all.

    I recently picked up a 06 G35 6 speed with 83k miles for 9500. Came with a new clutch installed w/ paperwork, new headers and plenum spacer in the trunk, and already had an Injen bumper-mounted CIA and a D-spec exhaust (sounds good, but looks like trash, will definitely be replacing). Had a few minor cosmetic issues and some surface rust on the cross members, but nothing a little cleaning couldnt fix. Overall, for mileage, condition, and performance, I can't complain.
    Edit: Also, props to your girl for repping the 6 gear on the plates. I had the same frames on my old tC, and I'll be getting another set soon for the G.

Only issue is an EVAP code that really doesn’t effect engine performance. Led me to buy a 2015 GT 50th Anniversary, Comp Orange. Now I got 2 horses and I’m a fan boy! 😁

      All that noise but no power from mid 00's GT. Don't get me wrong, I love the way they sound with a good exhaust but I want bite with the bark. G37 has a bit more bite especially for a v6. My main issue with the G though is the fact that before throwing mods and tunes on, it's kinda difficult to go full hoon. VDC. Throttle chop when doing basically anything reckless. Even with VDC off it's still keeping it tamed just not as much. Just wish it was a bit more wild out the box.

    Totally agree. Picked mine up over 2years ago for $6300 with 101k miles on it. I have since put more money into it than I probably should have lol. But for a 3v she actually gets down. Bone stock when I bought it other than it had been straight piped. I put on the ford racing manifold, longtubes, jlt cold air, gt500 twin 60mm tb, under drive pulleys, rattler cams, 4.10 gears, all adjustable rear suspension, lowering springs, zex nitrous kit and a custom Lito tune. On a 150 shot I can run door to do with my buddies fbo 21 gt 10 speed. I actually just got a 19 gt 10 speed a few months ago, I really like it but it just doesn’t like I’m driving a mustang when I’m in it, and to be honest I like the s197 looks more. I will never get rid of my 3v I love it. Actually plan on building the bottom end soon and either add another nitrous kit or turbo since I have the 10 speed to daily now. I’m already pushing the limits of those factory rods. Even with it jetted down to a 125 shot it’s still making just under 500rwhp.

    Mustang is a good first car. My first car was a ‘97 Mercury Cougar XR7 with the 4.6L V8. It wasn’t tuned the same as the 4.6 in the mustang gt of that year, but it sounded just as amazing when you ran through the gears. They did not offer a manual with the Cougar, but that was the only downside. I had plenty of space, it was cheaper than a mustang, and was just as reliable. If you can’t afford a mustang, then getting an older crown vic, grand marquis, town car, thunderbird, or Cougar with the v8 would be a good second choice too. Just get it inspected by a mechanic first since they’re 20 years old now at this point!!

    I prefer the 4th gen mustang (1994-2004) They are dirt cheap (under 2k) and because they are so underrated you can get parts and GTs for dirt cheap compared to other Generations. Not to mention non-car enthusiasts drive them so they might not even know that they own a special model. They come in 33+ trims and not to mention some do have a Manuel transmission option. A couple have very rare paints and options so you can never get bored with them and lastly some even come supercharged from the factory.

      Coming from a 370Z owner. Plenty of aftermarket support. Quite fun and easy to drive. Insurance not too bad really since it's NA. It's fine stock or modded though forced induction will up the insurance. Just keep on top of oil checks more than anything. VQ engines are notorious for using oil. Especially the earlier model ones. Also use the right octane fuel or the engine will shit itself as it's a premium fuel only engine.
