I related with this video a lot! I'm get on average 2500-2600. I've got my exam in 6 days and I'm really disappointed. AR is my weakest section. I've done a lot of practice but the time pressure gets me amd I can't think of the patterns even if they're really easy :( I'm demotivated and anxious about how I'll do on the real exam. also could you say how you found each section in the actual exam compared to mocks?
hi! For AR, it started being my weakest too, i think we have to see lots and lots of questions and record them down (to read through for revision) so we can recognise the pattern quickly. some pattern have 2 rules, they can mix and match in other sets too. I have problem with timing as well but i find that if you’re not able to find the pattern/ rule, you can always make good guesses by general similarity or similarity in some aspects you are suspecting to be the rules. this method can be improved by recognising and eliminating distractors. sometimes when i do this, the result is not that bad (700-800)!! in my actual test result, AR turned out to be the highest out of all subtests😹 compared to the practice tests on the official website, i think VR questions in the actual exam have a little longer texts (though some texts can be shorter than the others). for other subtests, the mocks and the actual ones are about the same. For MedEntry practices (not sure if you’re using) all subtests are very similar to the actual exam!
try not to pressure yourself too much okayy 🫶🏼🫶🏼 because all you can do is your best✨✨ i was really anxious too but on the day itself, i was surprisingly calm and it helped control my nerves a lot!! all the best on your ucat💞
i’ve been getting the same scores as you on medentry and i’m so scared and exhausted. school isn’t making it any easier too, i’m getting so stressed :( i’ve been studying for almost 2 months, how long have you been studying for? why was i scared for you 😖😖 noooo, pray for me guys my exam is in a week
i started around april, so that’s 3-4 months. but i only spent about 6hours a week at most. there are also some weeks that i completely didn’t do ucat. then, when my school exams are done in july, i started to do intensive practise (14 days in the vid)! 🥲i know, school is making this so hard, the amount of assignments is just 💀💀
it is specific to each uni, and i think it’s also by ranking so it’s not like they will interview everyone who meets their requirement. hope this helps!!
