33/42 - Caledonian Stadium: Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC

33/42 - Caledonian Stadium, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC, 19/10/19. Another long trip today as we went north to tick off ground 33 on the tour. We were in Inverness for the match between Inverness Caledonian Thistle against Alloa.
We took the train today but noticed large car parks on arrival at the ground and prices seemed to be £3 per car. As we always do we wrote to the club ahead of our visit requesting some information but we had no communication back so sadly we have to give minus points for that. Tickets could be bought from a kiosk underneath the Main Stand and it’s here we chose to sit at £22 a ticket. The Club Shop was also housed underneath the stand and, although small, was well stocked and the staff were friendly. Two pin badges were on offer priced at £3.
Once inside the ground it was straight for food and we rated the Inverness pie highly! 9/10 on the David pie scale! Hot, tasty and full of grease! Onwards to our seat which were located towards the front and we quickly moved further up the stand to protect ourselves from the rain! Our seats offered a good view in amongst the frustrated home crowd. Alloa are very effective at defending!
To our left and right behind each goal were identical stands one of which was completely out of use today and the other housed the singing section of the home support. Directly opposite us there was a very small, again unused, section of seating along with some toilet and storage facilities. This side of the ground had a very open feel.
The match itself was strange with Alloa right at Inverness straight from the off and took a deserved lead. They then proceeded to comfortably defend until, finally, conceding two goals to apparently lose the match. Their never say die attitude though rescued them a late point which, on the whole, we think was just about deserved.
