- Has anyone ever told you to “follow through” in your golf swing? The follow through really is an important aspect of the swing, and it means much more than just the way your swing looks. The finish position tells you what happened to your golf club before it strikes the ball. In this video, Michael Breed tells you what your follow through should look like, and shares two key drills so you can make it happen!

Thank you Michael!
You are my favorite teacher and I’m a better golfer because of you. Been watching you since 2008 and your instruction has helped me go from the hundreds to the 70’s with a once in a great while high 60’s!
I just can’t thank you enough, your passion, knowledge and patient understanding is just the greatest!
Thank you.
Best instruction I have seen!
Love park the car in the garage!
It's a good one!
Great video. I really don’t follow through but i did not know any drills that explain how the club acts during a good swing. Well done.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, will try that at the range this morning!
I hope it works out well for you.
Great tips, as usual. Thank you Michael.🙂👍
Thank you for watching.
Very helpful tip and it works. It's harder to do with the longer clubs, especially the driver. Any idea why?
You need to practice it more with the longer clubs!
One of your best videos!
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed.
I like the garage. I have been working on this lately. I tend to stop at impact. Thanks for the great videos. Love your radio show too
Keep working at it! Thanks for the support
Great timing. I’ve known this is an issue with my swing and started working on this last couple of weeks. Honestly feel like completing the swing is kind of like setting my swing free. For me, seems like tension in my spine has been inhibiting my follow through. I’m a senior golfer type and have had injuries up and down my spine. Any pointers on getting your body to relax to help with the follow through. Just follow your drills in the video, or any other advice? I find I can do well at the range sometimes with a good warmup, but during a round I tend to stiffen up. Many thanks!
Picture parking the car in the garage. That image will help you relax.
Great lesson Michael. This is my biggest issue. Do the same with the driver?
Absolutely, same with the driver.
Thanks for another fine, free lesson, Michael. Just curious to know if there is a purpose to standing on a mat slightly above the ball level?
Thank you for watching. This is a pressure mapping mat that I use from V1. I don't always talk about the pressure, but I like to hit off this mat so I can keep an eye on my center of pressure from time to time.
Okay. Thanks. I probably should have already known that. @@michaelbreed
@MichaelBreed Should your trail foot feel light with a driver also? I feel like I am pushing with my trail toe with driver? Thoughts? Thanks.
Yes, ideally, it's the same thing with the driver.
What am i doing wrong? I can only get 38mph swing with my 7 iron...😢😢😢
WHAT HAS HAPPENED THE THE LIVE SHOWS?
We are not doing Live shows on TH-cam at this time, but they may be back at some point. Thanks for watching!
Basically the ball just gets in the way of a full swing
That's right, spot on.
