hey bro, many, many thanks from New Zealand for this video. It helped me unblock the carpet that was wedged in the ac drain from a previous mechanics work. Awesome video 👍
Thank you very much for this video! Couple of questions: First: Did you have to drain the entire cooling system to do this repair? i.e., is the heater core contained within the box you replaced? Second: Do you know (or can you tell me where to find) the part number for the replacement heater box? Thanks!
No I DIDNT have to drain it all out just whatever comes out when you remove the hoses ,.. and yes it's inside the box And no unfortunately I don't have the part number nor do I want to look it up and give you the wrong part #... I recommend to call your local dealer and give them your VIN to make sure
@@FLAutoCare Thank you very much for the response - one final follow-up question: in the video, it appears that you replaced more or less the entire HVAC system inside the truck. Fords documentation says to only replace the heater box itself, which is a smaller sub-assembly. I know it's been a while - but I've watched your video a few times now (especially around the 10:06 time) and it's hard to tell: do you think that the heater box alone can be swapped without pulling out the entire assembly? This is the part at 10:07 with the yellow actuators visible, and is just the upper portion of that larger side. The other side that ends in the triangular vent (left side, in your video) appears to be a different part number. I am really thankful for your video, as I plan to use it as a guide to swap this myself. Thank you!
For those wondering about the condenser drain, there is a tube on the bottom of the case that slides into a port where the trans tunnel meets through fire wall.
Hi. My 2020 Ranger is clicking when I turn on the heater. Doesn’t click when the ac is on. It only clicks in the morning when I turn on the heater, then goes away. Lasts about 1-2 minutes then goes away. You think it’s a blend door issue or actuator?
Hey Bro, I have an issue with the ac water draining on to the passenger floor board. I think the drain line might be clogged, but can’t find it from outside. Would you have any advice on this?

Yeah I just replaced the whole thing. But I'm sure you can just replace the heater box
Great video!!!!!!!!! can I ask where does the condenser drain come from/ go to on the AC unit?
Thb I don't remember sorry about that
Thanks for this, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. How’s it been since you made the fix?
As if now no returns, it was a customer vehicle
Spot on my man!!
your the best thanks for the infom.
For those wondering about the condenser drain, there is a tube on the bottom of the case that slides into a port where the trans tunnel meets through fire wall.
There’s a small piece of carpet that can easily slide up while installing the case, which will then block the drain port.

If I'm not mistaken ford recommend to replace the whole HVAC box to avoid any other issues, but it's probably the blend doors like you say

It should be near the middle passenger side and just get a metal rod to poke it thru and clear up any debris in the way hopefully that helps
Can you tell me what size hex bolt that was by the windshield. Thansk
If I'm not mistaken it was a H6 or 6mm hex
@@FLAutoCare awesome. Ty!!
On mine blend motor acuator under dash snaping
Yeah they also say it's a common issue
Blend motor is a small $50 part that can be easily replaced in situe
Where is the modem??
Modem? Not sure what your asking sorry
Do you know anyone in cali I can go to for this?
No I don't sorry
TQ BRO
That pain in the butt bolt doesn’t have to come all the way out, it’s only meant to loosen a couple turns, that’s why you ran out of room.
Oh OK thanks I'll know for next time
About to do this. Uggg
