I can't wait to get your printhead installed on my Voron. I have already replaced the x axis with carbon fiber, but the weight of the stealthburner is holding me back. I love how stripped down yet sturdy and practical your design is, just what I need to take my printer to the next level.
I agree. This printer VZ style is amazing. I think only the voron v0 has a top x axis all the others are front. It's alot of design changes to make it top mount x axis on them. It needs to be done an no better way to simulated it with some 3d printed extruders etc. I'm keen
I am still a bit worried. Like, they are talking about "cold side" not the "heatsink". So even now it is not patent troll safe design. This is why he was talking about changing spacers from round to hexagon. And still I think It might be not enough. I wish for Christmas that SE will just stop existing, because there is no way for ppl like this to change
Love it! I’ve got a 12oz Can Cup design that looks like a Printer Nozzle, I actually already designed a corresponding hotend to install it in. Just haven’t justified printing it yet (it’s BIG). After seeing how fun this is I may have to work up an Extruder too and make it. 😂😅 🎉
After this video I was scared... What if Vez try to build VZbot 990awd and all this sexy prints are only to check how it were after machining? Anyway - best printer from talented engineer, and videos are great as always.
Well.. i think they came out pretty crappy for most parts using that silk silver filament...besides somes small parts. The speed was 250mms or 300mms for the bigger and between 5k for external perimeter and 10k to 20k for the rest. The little bolts however were printed much slower and higher temp to have them as strong as possible...because that silk cheap pla doesnt have good layer bonding honestly
Does this all work with the ZeroG Printhead? Looking to buy the CNC print head + Goliath Air + Hextrudort-Low/WC Plus with the thinner heatbreak and adaptor plate?
i like the idea that the teeth for the filament gripping range are angled for a uniform print result, but not at all gears? is it not good to reduce the gaps between all gears for a more continusly print?
So glad I found this channel and project! How hot does the drive gears get? I want to iron large areas with very slow speed (20mm/s) using PLA. Will the PLA soften from the gears when it is fed so slow?
cool video! Would it work with Voron 0.1 and Dragon HF? Do i need an adapter? Does it work with 10tooth motor? Thanks. Currently i run 3d-printed hextrudOrt but i want alumunium version.
Once again blown away by the print quality you manage to pull out. This surface finish is insane ! For the kits, will this level of quality be available out of the box, or after tedious tinkering and tuning ?
Speaking of CNC, with the growing amount of parts machined from aluminum, do you think makers with CNC routers could make these parts themselves ? Does anyone in the Vz Discord own a router ?
Vez great video as always. Ever thought of getting a way of overlaying Mainsails speed/flow on the video? Not sure how it would look on the sped up video.
@@Vez3D Thanks. I'm confused as to what some of the 14 options are selling on Mellow, and what is needed to get a complete hotend. I'm very excited about this, but it may all be too much $. It's very similar to what I asked mellow for 2 years ago, a water cooled aluminum orbiter with mounts for the crazy heat block. I can't find any documentation on the 3-bolt spacing.
@Haley the watercooled version of the extruder will only with thr goliath and a aluminum vz-prinhead. If you have more questions i encourage you to join our discord server or fb group. We can help you there :)
Hello Vez! Thank you so much for your content and pushing the limits always. Any chance of sharing your bed adhesion secrets? I’m doing ABS on PEI and textured PEI and the struggle is immense
Been working on my own coreXY printer (pretty similar to yours) and was searching for a high flow hotend. Your Goliath Hotend looks perfect - when will it be available on AliExpress? (despite the problems with SliceEngineering....) PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP on this amazing hotend!!!!

The little bolts however were printed much slower and higher temp to have them as strong as possible...because that silk cheap pla doesnt have good layer bonding honestly. But to answer your concern about shiny look, if you print faster you have to crank up temp to keep that silk look. I used 220c and 230c for that.
@@Vez3D thanks. I need to put some effort in to tuning for shininess. At least now I have some clues. No, the silk PLAs aren't particularly strong. I think that's true in general, not just for the cheap ones. The addition of gycol to PLA weakens it.
Bravo! Way to think outside the box and overcome unexpected development difficulties. I don't need one of these but i'll be buying one to support you.

I really love the solution of cooling integrated extruder which keep the whole toolhead CoG comparable to other hotend.
I can't wait to say "my aluminum heatsink also happens to be an extruder" 🔥🔥🔥
Yay!!! Water-cooling!!! I've had bad luck with fan motors dying on me and would prefer water cooling on future builds for enclosed printers
very good work on these changes vez. its very pleasing to see. and also your print quality there btw seemed really impressive
lol haha best of love
Perfect timing, saved a headache or two with that! Two more ldos comin in the mail for AWD 330 action.
wow, great design 👍
thanks for sharing your experience with all the best 👍🙂🎄
amazing quality, these metal prints are crazy.
*SE attacks vex for similar heatsink attachment
*vez deletes the heatsink entirely

Thanks!!
Fantastic presentation!!
Ive been thinking it MUST be possible to use a small high performance BLDC and worm drive to be filament extruder
Was done all the way back in 2016. Check out old reprap forums!
my friend, you are well done

@@Vez3D just wild that that is your low end and those prints look great! My CR-10 is embarrassing at 70mm/s

great information. Can you tell me which filament you used for this? Thank you Chris
I'm pretty sure the next step is to make a cast iron structure to absorb all the vibrations.
Lil on the smoller side 🤏
i like this setup just one more thing I personally would prefer, get the motor Watercooled too.
Then I´m totaly sold on that setup.
I dont think its needed... but if i want to..i can. I have a wc plate for that that i can add to the loop. Watch my other video where i wc the motor
Thanks 😁
When do you think the optimal time to buy a vz330 kit would be? I want to grab everything once you're finished making these awesome strides
So glad I found this channel and project!
How hot does the drive gears get? I want to iron large areas with very slow speed (20mm/s) using PLA. Will the PLA soften from the gears when it is fed so slow?
For now i dont have that prototype yet. I only have the standard air vz-hextrudort with watercool Goliath and it works beautifully 😍

10th or 8th
Would it be possible to adapt a nema 17 to this extruder? with a nema 17 it would have more power than the mini nema 14 motor.
It doesnt need power
I need the stl for the print Modell of the parts. It looks very nice. I must print this :-)
Very nice!!! Do you know when there will be cad models for the water cooling cnc version ??
Water Kit link is empty (((
and i waaant vzbot!!!!! awesome!
Geeee that's Useful !

@Xantras im not sure someone can make that Hextrudort. The gears etc.. needs a high end machine
True, but how about the gantry plates, the X-carriage, the milled aluminum tube ?
@@_Xantras_ yeah that can done. And some have milled their own already :)
Is it any difference between this one and the one on mellow store called vz hextrudort low?
This is the same. Except this one has water passes inside
@@Vez3D ok thank you
Would there be a way to just get the gears and would they fit into a bmg format layout lol
Not compatible with bmg. Shorter shaft. But yes we will have replacement parts soon
Great work man. Keep it up!

Printing portion of the video are not sped up
@@Vez3D Awesome. I always forget how fast your machine is!!
Great model Vez. I managed to grab a Vz-Hextrudort and am patiently awaiting it's arrival. Any idea when the Goliath will be for sale?
Im hoping this week or next week?
Can the helical cut gears he used in a normal BMG style extruder?
This is not helical. Its twirl and the shaft herr is shorter than BMG so no unfortunately
Can I use this extruder without the massive hod side?
The watercoole.one has a 4mm OD heatbreak. So its meant for the goliath. And its not massive honestly :)

where is the cad file for this?
on github there is a mockup file :)

Cool, are you sure that patent troll will not attack again as you are still using 3 screws?
Standoffs with no tension/compression between members. Its good. If they complain again.. then Vez goes to war
